It’s fairly easy to create audio products such as interviews, recorded conferences, tutorials, etc. Practically anyone with a microphone or headset can create the audio files.
The problem you run into is file size. Most audio content of any length ends up being a large file in raw format. Not only does it take too long to download, it also uses up valuable bandwidth in your hosting account - sometimes resulting in substantial fee’s.
I set out to find a solution to this, and I found one…
For voice you can take it down to 24bit with no noticeable loss in quality on ordinary voice presentations.
Here is a simple way to compress mp3 files so they are optimized and compressed in just one click:
www.totalwebaudio.com/mp3tweak.zip
1. Install the program
2. Open the program
3. load the mp3 file
4. Click convert
Presto.
Credit for this solution goes to Josh Anderson of Total Web Audio, who was kind enough to share these details with me in a recent thread at the Warrior Forum.
Best,

This will come in handy for some of my upcoming audio projects. Thanks Lynn.

Sweet. I just finished an interview with Joe Ratliff and he sent me the MP3 file for editing. Now, instead of whipping out Audacity to play around with, I can just download the software.
Thanks Lynn.

I’m not sure. You will probably just have to try it and see…
