The BlogRush stats are finally available, and ClickNewz is reporting in with a total of 8,891.25 credits earned. These credits go towards blog promotion - or views on the BlogRush widget across related blogs in the blogosphere - and are earned based on views, clicks & referrals.
This cool little social networking widget just launched on September 15th and you can learn more about it at my original post: Free Blog Marketing Widget.
So far I am really impressed with BlogRush. Not only have I found some really great blogs by scanning the post titles that show up in my widget, but it is also bringing quality traffic to ClickNewz…
I havent quite figured out how to track the exact number of click-through’s in my own site stats. BlogRush does give you the number of clicks in their stats, as well as the impressions, so you can easily see your CTR (click through rate). But I’m not seeing it show up in Awstats just yet.
Speaking of CTR, here are a few tips for getting more clicks from your BlogRush impressions:
- Write COMPELLING 7 WORD HEADLINES (or approximately no more than 40 characters including spaces). This guarantee’s your whole headline will be syndicated in the BlogRush widget without getting cut off.
- Make sure your Post Titles are not misleading or ambiguous.
- Blog often - the more the better. Keep fresh content rotating across the blogosphere!

I was excited to see stats too! Does your total credits include credits you are receiving from referrals too?

Yes, in fact the majority of my credits are from my referral network. It is currently up to 9,562 credits.

Have you received all your credits earned?
I have earned 22,857, but only 8,089 have been delivered…resulting in 39 clicks.

No, not by a long shot. And there are a lot of extra bonus credits to be distributed as well, which is cool.

I just installed it and will look at the stats, it looks promising so we’ll see what happens!

I’m also thankful that they have the stats online, but something has me a bit worried about the program — the low threshold for acceptance.
It wasn’t a problem for me today, as most of the entries linked in my sidebar were good. Then, I glanced over and saw “Hello World!” as a title. Instantly I recognized the announcement of a new WP blog and after clicking through, sure enough, it was a blog with absolutely no content.
Just something for people to be aware of, looks like it’s already being exploited.

Yes, this note is displayed on the dashboard today:
Looks like they are on top of it

That’s awesome news!
Thanks for keeping us all updated, Lynn. I know I haven’t had time to check the dashboard today (or yesterday for that matter).

I agree - looks to be a great tool, and I look forward to keeping an eye on it for cool new posts to check out too.
I just checked again and my credits are up to 17,725.75 - very cool!

Hi Lynn,
Yep, this has the potential to be a useful tool for the surfers and publishers.
I’ve put it onto one of my blogs at the moment as a test. Let’s see how it does!
