Is WordPress Datafeed Import an essential necessity to use with Static Blogging to control multiple affiliate links?

No, not at all. I use the WPDI for affiliate datafeeds – but if you arent working with datafeeds then you wont need that at all.

I see Biki mentioned Build a Niche Store. A lot of bloggers are raving about it this week. I’d like to know your opinion on it as soon as you research it more.

You get the SB guide and cheatsheets, templates and plugins, etc. with the package – but the video training is where the magic is.

It’s what? – 4 or 5 hours worth of step-by-step videos (like sitting down with a friend and looking over her shoulder as she shows me how it works) about how to use the SB method and EXACTLY how to set up the plugins and tweak your SB WordPress blogs.

It’s worth so much more than they are asking and their support forum rocks!

Pretty interesting course. Designing a WordPress site to look like a regular HTML site can be a bit of a bear, so anything to make that an easier process has got to be a plus.

As an aside, I was one of the first folks to purchase BANS, and it is a pretty slick program. If anyone needs any help with it, just drop me line and I’ll be glad to answer a question or two.

Blogs wont necessarily get indexed faster. They do tend to get spidered more frequently and bring in better search engine traffic – in addition to traffic sources from Social Networking.

You may want to do the homework as suggested for your current project, and set up your first static site – just to get your feet wet. But personally, I prefer to use the Static Blogging method of creating affiliate sites now – just for the traffic perks & visitor interaction…

Anyway – are you dead set on using a ClickBank product, or are you open to looking at products elsewhere? I didnt know if that was part of the ‘class’ you are taking or what?

Its hard to advise without knowing the details of your niche, and your business model. There are plenty of good products on ClickBank – but its just one of many options.

I am *very* close to getting this. Here’s what’s stumping me: I am in a course where we have to set up a product site from some template, register the domain name at the place the instructor says, and host it where he advises, too. It’s part of our homework.

From what I read so far … I’d much rather start with Static Blogging. Sounds like WordPress is the way to go for affiliate sites like those I’m researching to get started.

Of course, I’ve only found one product so far (in Clickbank), and I’m not sure it’s a good one. How in the world do you tell if it’s a quality product — even after buying it which I intend to do?

There’s one other digital product I found close to my niche, but this one may not be open to affiliates and, even though the info sounds good for my niche, it’s written in such poor quality I’m afraid I’d ruin any chance to build credibility.

But to answer your question, they are two different products altogether. Static Blogging is a means of using WordPress – a blogging platform – to develop “websites”. Or in other words, to create Web 2.0 interactive sites instead of “just a blog”.
