Going through my Inbox this morning there were some interesting notes & links to pass on, so I thought I would post them here. You'll find a little bit of everything - from cool sites and good tips to free stuff:
Direct Sales
If you are interested in (or already involved in) Direct Sales, then you'll want to check out Direct Sales Directories. This was announced by Alice Seba today, and they are offering two freebies at the site (in addition to the directory): "Choosing Your Opportunity" and "Online Direct Sales Leads". What's different about this directory? Alice says:
"Linda and I have also created market-specific directories for different direct sales opportunities. In order to sell a product well, we believe you really need to believe in the product. People may promise all kinds of riches with a certain opportunity, but product is barely mentioned. We want to help change that dangerous trend by giving people more meaningful ways of searching opportunities that best suit their interests."
Super Affiliate Tip
This comes from an email by Patric Chan where he offers 5 Affiliate Tips specifically for those of you promoting Internet Marketing related products:
3. Avoid using the prepared solo ad if it's a
product-launch promotion that other internet
marketers will be promoting. You need to
differentiate yourself from being 'one of them'.
4. Add your own bonus if you want to compete
with other affiliates. Think like your prospects,
"Why do I need to buy from you?"

Bikini Clearance
VictoriasSecret.com is having their annual Swim Sale & Clearance. You can save up to 70%... and they even offer free shipping (within the US) on orders of $100 or more. (Not sure how I ended up on that list?)
Register Your Name!
A quick tip from John Terry (nope, no relation): Go straight to GoDaddy and register your name (dot com). Branding is important, and you need to grab up your own .com before someone else does. What if your name is already taken (mine is!)? John suggests you register something close. For him it was JRTerry.com, and he says he will now be signing off as JR Terry instead of John Terry for branding purposes. Anyway, grab your name while you can - and while you're at it, grab your children's names (dot com) if they are still young. They'll thank you for it later π
Just some random tips & links straight from the Inbox. Hope you find something useful!

Here's another message - I'm passing this one along in case anyone is interested:
I especially like the Victoria Secret's bikini sales tip π
Seriously though, people should really pay attention to that last tip about registering their own name. It really isn't that expensive (about $10/yr per domain) and it may be truly beneficial in the future, especially if your name ever becomes famous.

LOL π Thanks!
And I agree - domain names are a small investment to make. John made a good point about branding, too... definitely something to consider!
ChristinaCole.com was taken but I was able to get ChrissieCole.com some time last year. I guess it's better since most everyone online knows me as Chrissie anyway π
When ya have a REAL common name like mine ... It's way too late! LOLOL
Of course, all the John Smiths have a bit more of a problem. π
