When the participants voted in a New Years Day event during the Dec 18th Webinar, I had my doubts about how many would show up for it. I certainly didnt expect the turn-out we had yesterday… the room was completely full!
I was incredibly impressed with the obvious dedication and motivation to kick off a successful New Year in online business. Showing up for an online event the morning after New Years Eve said it all
Some of the things covered in the open discussion style Webinar included primary goals for 2008, a recap on how to set clear & specific goals, tips for staying focused and achieving goals, where to get free help along the way, and much more…
I also gave away a full one-year pass to my private forum

One of the participants - and I’ll have to look that up to see who it was - recommended Stephen King’s On Writing
as a great read both for aspiring authors and bloggers. Several people agreed, so I decided to grab a copy for myself. I checked out the description and the reviews on Amazon.com this morning - looks like an awesome book!
Of all of the goals that were shared during the event, the most prominent was to get organized and to become more focused - taking specific and deliberate action on a daily basis towards goals for creating and managing a successful online business.
All said and done, it was an incredible hour - and I was pleased to spend it with such a motivated and fun group of people. If you havent already joined in yourself, make it a point to log in each week at Noon EST. I host a new Webinar every Tuesday
Best,

P.S. The archive of this New Year Webinar, titled Success In 2008! is now available for Elite Members to download. Just log in to the Private Forum at SSWT and look for the thread titled Webinar Archives.

Lynn,
I think Deb mentioned the book.
I answered a participants question about how do you start writing by saying that Stephen King believes you just write and write and write and edit later.
He mentions in that book that he writes like 3 or more hours every morning and afternoon.
An incredible work ethic.

Thanks Jeff - I believe you’re right. I was unsure whether it was Deb or Jan by the time I sat down to write this post, so I’m glad you stopped by
I write daily myself, but with less ’structure’, so I have a feeling I am really going to enjoy this book - and get a lot out of it. I have a personal project to complete (fiction) so the timing is excellent.
