Here’s a VERY important issue for action at the Affiliate Summit:
It’s to do with Clickbank’s CBU!
Here’s a copy of my message to CB:

I am utterly appalled at your gall in launching CBU!!!! What absolute arrogance!!!
Firstly you seek to scam newbies, charge a huge fortune in the process, then still suck the life out of them by having Them pay for traffic which YOU benefit from! Unbelievable, absolutely unbelievable!!!
Furthermore, you are competing directly with your very own customers, those who sell their products through you. Wisdom 101 – Do not bite the hand that feeds you!
You should be ashamed to have even thought to do this!
I wish you huge embarrassment and spectacular failure!
You can dismiss this lightly, but be sure I’ll be posting the same message wherever I can find the opportunity. I’m certain I’m not alone in my feelings! I hope you get tons and tons of similar feedback and abandon this ridiculous scam with apologies to those you suck in through their innocence and lack of understanding.
Shame on you!!!

I find it strange that Jason Calacanis is doing the keynote at an affiliate conference. Sure, he’s a smart guy and done some cool things, but is he really into the world of affiliate marketing?

Descisons like this are so hard, particularly because events like this can be so important to your career. Meeting people and networking is so key to your online success, it can make a WORLD of difference.

I would love to be going this year myself and it makes me a little depressed that, for personal reasons I cannot go, so I know Lynn, how you must be feeling. Anyway, for what it’s worth, I say take care of your family and home first, after all there is next year — and other events.

Lynn for me it is simple. This is what I will do, “or to just go ahead and rent the house Iâ€™m in for another month (March) and take my time with it all.”

Since it is possible to shift moving to your new house a bit, why don’t you take your time then? You know, the Affiliate Summit West will show you some new ideas and strategies to move your business to the next level and even share with others. So I suggest that you don’t miss it.

Anyway, I am also aware of your inner enthusiasm for your new house and how it affects your kids. Please let’s know your final decision.

All great points here, and it was not an easy decision… but I cancelled my trip today and am focusing on getting moved & settled into my new home. Events are always going on, and I can hit Affiliate Summit in Orlando this summer when I’m more settled in.

Hi Lynn,
I would go to the meeting since you ALREADY HAVE reservations and arrangements to go AND since it’s only a 3 day conference and you could start moving on the 27th. It shouldn’t take more than 2 days to move in and that way you make the meeting which is ONLY once a year with all the contacts and just MOVE 4 days later and still get out before having to pay rent again. OR, just make a deal with your landlord to pay for 1 to 3 days more rent into next month, then move. If the landlod doesn’t allow it, like I said before, you can always Moon Him and tell him to Kiss Your Bandwidth and you STILL HAVE 2 days to move when you get back. Sounds like you’ll be missing valuable contacts if not going since someone has already contacted you above about meeting up. THAT alone could be worth money in the bank, down the road! You’re only putting off the move for 4 days and you may be in the house 40 years! Somethimg to think about anyway!

Jason – It’d be a tight fit with the schedule, as I leave Vegas that same evening, but if I end up going (doubtful at this point) I’ll definitely let you know so we can work something out
