Collis Ta’eed has an excellent article at NorthXeast, which features weekly articles specifically about blogging, titled 31 Days To Becoming A Better Blogger.
If you have a blog of your own, or you plan to start one this year, you’ll definitely want to take note of the easy steps that Collis suggests.
March actually has 31 days, which would be a great opportunity to work through the simple steps to becoming a better blogger. And in fact, March represents 2 full years for ClickNewz.com, so what better way to celebrate an anniversary?
I’d love for you to join me on this, of course…
You knew that was coming, didnt you?
The steps are simple of course, but each one could make a dramatic difference in the success of your blog. What I’ll do is post an entry each day during the month of March, quoting the step for the day and adding in my own thoughts/ideas.
You can easily follow along and complete the step each day for your own blog, and we can share progress & updates through commenting or trackbacks. It will be a great way to get help and/or practical ideas for implementation.
What do you say? Do you want to be a better blogger? I know I do! I hope you’ll join me in March - should be fun
Best,

I am doing this challange for one of my blogs and writing about it daily. I think I am on Day 6.

Funny you should mention this; Eric Giguere at memwg.com is running a similar challenge for the month of February (and yes, as far as I’m concerned it’s still February 9, dang it … I’m trying to catch up).
Might be worth taking a look at how he did it … he made a post for each day where participants use the Comments section to link their daily articles.
It’s hard to keep up with these challenges, but it’s very motivating.

I’m up for trying this with you. I feel like there must be something I’m missing in my blog … besides all the things I want to do to tweak it.

I’ve been reading a lot about the “31 days to a better blog” challenge, and since you mentioned that March does have 31 days I’ve decided to give it a go starting next month.

Hi Lynn - I’m in - look forward to hearing your input on each day’s idea.
Love the new tip jar block - seems like a great chance for cheap advertising on your site for your fans.

I believe March 11th is the official date - marking 2 years for ClickNewz.com. That’s why I chose March as the month for this blog improvement challenge
Thank you Danielle - unfortunately I was out this weekend and missed getting a copy of that… I’ll have to check and see if its still available. Thanks again!

Lynn,
Count me in! This is one area I really need to improve. Both in consistency and profitability.
I hope this will help in both areas.
Thanks!
Mary T Gallagher // Feb 29, 2008 at 2:05 pm
You’ve got my attention with this challenge. Consistent action is a goal of mine and with a brand new blog, this will be a great test of my commitment to myself. I also want to theme my blog for profit, so I am looking forward to sharing and linking with others. Thanks for the idea, Lynn.
