Perry Marshall addresses changes with Adwords

I’m passing on a note from Frank Kern which includes a free download. It’s an interview with Perry Marshall as he addresses the recent changes with Google Adwords:

Note – Perry Marshall is the author of the Definitive Guide to Google Adwords which covers the specifics of Google Adwords, and of increasing your Click-Thru Rate (CTR) and your Conversion Rate. Perry is well known as the industry leader on Google Adwords.

By now you’ve heard how those geniuses at Google are jacking up bid prices all over the place.

Every day I get another horror story about how someone goes from a few thousand clicks a day …down to ten clicks at a dollar each.

YOU DON’T HAVE TO TAKE IT.

Last week I recorded an interview with Google Master Perry Marshall. This interview addresses how to FIX THE GOOGLE PROBLEM.

It’s yours for the taking here:

Get it and listen to it. Pass it around if you want.

Right now it’s Us Vs. Google.

Frank

I am downloading the MP3 myself as we speak. Feel free to post your comments!

I listened to this last night in the car. I’m not sure this really contains any surefire fixes for the problem, but it did layout a lot of stuff to try. I think it’s clear this change at Google has ruffled some feathers, that’s clearly discernable in Frank’s voice, but I think it reinforces the mantra “Content is King”.

Personally, if this move by Google kills off even 5% of those silly squeeze pages, I applaud the effort. If you can’t get someone to signup without blackmailing them, maybe you should take a copywriting class. Frank and Ed are smart guys (FTC warts and all), but advocating annoying tactics like squeeze pages will invariably come back to haunt you. Remember pop-ups before Firefox?

Thanks for posting this Lynn. I’m a considerable fan of Perry Marshall’s work and as his professional approach to marketing. Listening to this interview was time well spent.
