Twitter.com has been down quite a bit lately. And just when I got in a routine of tweeting! One thing I have to hand them though - the downtime messages are usually amusing. The picture above is just one example. There must be some guy there with the full-time job of drawing up these images and writing the little downtime messages… ![]()

I don’t get it. Is Twittering that fun?
I tried it and I don’t like it, but many marketers seem to love it. Hmm…

Hey Desmond, I was never a twitter user before. I looked at it, played a bit and then left it. Then a couple months later came back to it. What changed for me is that I started looking forward to reading some tweets and I’ve got to know people who I didn’t know previously. I can still leave it for a week though and then come back and tweet everyday for a while and then leave it again.

I wrote about all the times Twitter seems to go down on my blog, because, just as I’ve started getting used to it, the sucker starts having all these issues.
For some of you, the reason Twitter seems to make us happy is that you can post a link for every new post to your blog, and if you have enough followers they just might click on the link, come to your blog, and, well, we all want more visitors.

Nice image. It may not just be Twitter that is having issues. Right now, huge swathes of Thailand’s internet is down or extremely unresponsive.

I have been getting down messages too! Hopefully they will do something to prevent this from happening so often now. I enjoy the pictures though!

The pictures are very amusing however it still gets on my nerves when Twitter is down. Twitter is my social interaction that I need on a daily basis and when it’s down I feel so ‘lost’. lol

Kudos for the amusing and different down messages concerning Twitters status.

I’ve created an account in Twitter but still its potential for SEO eludes me.
They might really be expecting frequent downtimes so it’s good that they come up with this.

Hi Dennis,
Twitter is not necessarily an “seo thing”. It is a social networking platform that can drive a lot of traffic, and also a great place to network with people who will link to you and recommend your sites/posts.
