Traffic Secrets 2 Video Review

I just finished watching both of the new videos that John Reese released today, which are part of the pre-launch series for Traffic Secrets 2 coming out on July 15th. You can watch both of these videos free by clicking here.

For those of you that prefer to scan through the text version, I took notes through both videos and will share those notes with you below.

Both videos give you a preview to TS2, not just in the content but also in the quality of the presentation. You'll get a good idea of what you can expect from John in the full blown course - which is incredibly high quality.

Interesting to note is that this 2nd edition of Traffic Secrets is going to be less than half the price of the original course. πŸ˜‰

The first video, which you'll find on the home page, was just over 16 minutes in length. I expected it to be much longer, so I was pleasantly surprised at the short but rich presentation.

There were valuable strategies shared in this first video, specifically about what John calls the Results Detection concept. John explains how you can analyze results that others have already experienced, and use those to your advantage.

He goes into detail about 10 ways that you can use Results Detection:

1. to achieve top search rankings in your niche.
2. to locate popular software niches.
3. to get front-page exposure on digg.com
4. to grow your friends group on social networks.
5. to get a higher ctr on adwords for better placement at lower prices.
6. to see what types of products are selling well online (today).
7. to get press releases syndicated to hundreds of media outlets.
8. to get hundreds of links to your blog posts.
9. to analyze who gets the most traffic in your niche - and how.
10. to create banners or ads that will get the highest clicks & sales.

You'll want to watch the video to get the details about each of those 10 examples, of course.

If you decide to opt-in on that same page, you'll get immediate access to the 2nd video titled "Owning More of the Internet". This video (also free) is just over 21 minutes in length.

You have probably heard me talk about "Going Wide", either here on ClickNewz or during one of my weekly webinars. That is exactly what this second video is about - and John covers it very well. I found myself nodding my head through the entire video... Right on, Reese!

In this video, John discusses the importance of content and using it to increase your reach. He describes what he calls the Content Factory, which is a fabulous concept. I'll give you a quick rundown of what that means, but you'll want to watch the video and jot down some notes - I guarantee you it will have you thinking up new ideas left & right!

So here's the gist of the "content factory" - managing the process (ideally with a team), and outlining your strategy in advance: research. idea development. content creation. scheduling (create content in advance, then schedule it to release). publishing. syndication.

John makes the point that content is a marketing asset, which I agree with 100%. He also shares the two best types of content you can develop: how-to information & case studies.

All in all, both videos were well worth the ~37 minutes invested.

Discussion

  1. Haven't watched the second video yet, but I agree as well - Content is king!

Content Factory, what a great name!

  2. Just finished watching both videos, and it was well worth it! Some really good tips in there. The 'owning the web concept' really makes a lot of sense... definitely worth watch both.

  3. Joe Richey says

Reps who write rave reviews stand to make good money per sale and after all isnt the botton line in conversions and cash flow! I still love this blog lot of qaulity content!

  4. Joe, you've been reading here long enough to know that if I dont like it... I say so - affiliate link or not πŸ™‚ . Speaking of which, I've published negative reviews in the past that resulted in as many sales as positive reviews.

I actually own the original Traffic Secrets course, am a regular reader of John's newsletter, and sat down to watch both of the videos mentioned above personally.

What you have here is my honest review of both free videos. Considering that I dont particularly like video format, and that a good percentage of my readers feel the same, I thought a text summary would be suiting here.

Not picking on you, Joe - just clearing up the details for anyone reading along so there's no misunderstanding πŸ˜‰

  5. Lynn is an internet marketer and mentor. I'm sure she has lots of things roll past her desk every day but people depend on her to know and deliver recommendations that are in their best interest.

Sure, she stands to make a profit from every sale but for the time, money and effort she puts into helping us find quality good products (not to mention all the free info Lynn gives us) she more than deserves it. Don't you think?

    Nice review!

    Thanks, Lynn.

  7. Alan Petersen says

I love the go wide approach. As John was saying you have to tap into all those different types of sites out there.

Maybe he will open the eyes of marketers who seem to shy away from one of my favorite sources of new traffic...podcasting. πŸ™‚

  8. Mary Gallagher says

Lynn, Thank you for the good detailed review. TS1 came out way before I ever thought of IM as a biz, so John Reese is kind of new to me. When you are used to good content, like yours, Lynn, it is easy to recognize quality content. This certainly is!

I like the changing color background of the video. I'm curious how each color was tested, because I'm sure every detail has a purpose.

Thanks for the notes, I put them on the back of my June calendar that is still on my desk, and couldn't sleep thinking about the "Content Factory".
Looking forward to implementing what I learn.
    Best,
    Mary

  9. Sandy Naidu says

I quite enjoyed the videos Lynn...I especially found the second one quite motivating...Has given me quite few ideas that I can implement with my existing sites. Thanks for the reviews

  10. Thank you for the comments - I'm glad you found the review useful. There are definitely some great take-aways from both videos.

I like the changing color background of the video. I’m curious how each color was tested, because I’m sure every detail has a purpose.

Interesting Mary, I was wondering whether the release date of July 3rd for these videos was significant or intentional... Perhaps we'll hear more on that in the coming weeks.

  11. Content is king. That I cannot agree more. But good content is even "more" king. You dont want the reader to waste their time.
