Stomping the Search Engines 2 (FAQ)

September 2nd, 2008 · 232 Comments ·

The big secret is out! Until now, the pricing of Stompernet’s new SEO Course Stomping the Search Engines 2.0 was not disclosed. In fact, those of us where were ‘in the know’ had to sign a Non Disclosure Agreement and agree not to share any details until 24 hours before its public release.

That hour is now :) Stomping the Search Engines 2.0, and The Net Effect, will both be available on Wednesday September 3rd at 2pm eastern. And you are going to be able to get them both for free. Yes free.

That “crazy price” raises a lot of questions, so here’s a quick rundown of the most common Q&A (so far) in case this cool news raised your eyebrows (too!) and set off your ’skeptic-meter’…

Let me backtrack a bit in case you’re just now joining us. You’ll want to start with my Stomping the Search Engines 2.0 Review. That will tell you what this product is, and why you should be interested in it. Also see my video on The Net Effect, which is the 2nd product in this package.

The retail price for Stomping the Search Engines 2.0 is $497. You will have opportunity to purchase it at that price (um.. ???) if you would rather not get it for free (???). The order page will be here, and as I said above it will be live on Wednesday September 3rd at 2pm EDT.

The Price: $0

To clear up any potential skepticism, I’ll share the full details on this with you. I have been an affiliate for Brad Fallon & Andy Jenkins (Stompernet owners) for over 4 years, since their original product was released in 2004. I have also attended the last two StomperNet Live events as a guest, and spoke in detail with their affiliate manager and several key team members.

All that just to let you know that what I am sharing with you is fact, and that I am getting the details straight from the source.

It has been 4 years since Brad & Andy have released a physical product. Their original product was an audio SEO Course. Since that course was taken off the market, their primary “product” has been membership into StomperNet, which is a high-end eBiz training & coaching offer. The price for admission to StomperNet is $800/month. Well worth it no doubt, but way out of price range for the majority.

Stomping the Search Engines 2.0 carries that same quality of training as a high-end 8-module video course, but at an affordable one-off price for those who just cant swing the recurring $800 monthly payment.

At the same time, they are also releasing their brand new print publication titled The Net Effect. It will be available for a subscription rate of $39.97. Before you balk at that price, you really must see my video. StomperNet is known for their quality, and they’ve spared no expense with The Net Effect ;)

The bottom line: They want to get major exposure for The Net Effect, and so they are giving away a copy of Stomping the Search Engines 2.0 and the premier edition of The Net Effect as a means of letting you decide for yourself if its something you’d like to subscribe to (trust me - you will!).

Is It Really Free?

“What’s the catch?” Dont feel bad, I asked the same question :p

StomperNet is being completely transparent about this offer, so you dont have to worry about being trapped into some hidden forced continuity deal or anything like that.

You will get both products for free as promised. The only cost to you is shipping & handling. You can continue to get The Net Effect if you absolutely love it (you’re going to love it!), otherwise you can cancel at any time and pay nothing at all.

S/H Costs

The shipping & handling cost is going to be somewhere in the range of $10-$15 for people in the US, $20-$25 for people outside the US.

By the way, it isnt going to take 2 weeks or more to get these products in the mail. Unlike some product developers (*ahem*) this is not a “print on demand” situation. The products are already printed and ready to ship out the door!

Cancellation Policy

When you get your copy of The Net Effect, flip open the front cover - right there on the first page you’ll find cancellation instructions. Andy also said that he is setting up an automated self-cancel option so that you can bypass “customer support” and manage your subscription easily at any time.

My Take

I am really impressed with how the StomperNet team is handling this release. They know very well how you feel about high-ticket products, forced continuity, and all the other tricks in that bag.

They are being very open and upfront about the details of this “launch” and have obviously heard you loud and clear. That is evident in every detail of this offer.

One Last Note

I am a JV Partner for StomperNet, and this is my referral link to get your free copies of Stomping the Search Engines 2.0 and The Net Effect on Wednesday at 2pm eastern.

If you would like to pay full retail price for Stomping the Search Engines 2 instead of taking them up on the free offer to check out The Net Effect, by all means - feel free to do so (*grin*).

Obviously there is no percentage of $0, but I would greatly appreciate it if you would use my referral link as the person that referred you to their site for the free offer.

With some programs, the first person to refer you to a merchant gets credit. With others it is the last referral that gets credit. That is the case with this offer - the last link you click on before accepting the offer is credited for referring you.

So if you’ve been following along through my videos and reviews and updates, but also clicking on other links too, you may want to come back here to use this link on Wednesday when you get ready to request your free products.

That’s it for now. Make a note to check in on Wednesday, September 3rd at 2pm eastern to get yourself on the list for your 2 free products!

Best,

p.s. Andy & Brad just added a video to their site too, that explains more about StomperNet and the StSE 2.0 offer.

Thank you so much Lynn for the honest report. I am really looking forward to when these 23 hours are up! :)

And I will be sure to use your link! ;)

  • Nell Taliercio // Sep 2, 2008 at 5:51 pm

39 for a sub isn’t that bad in my opinion. I was expecting more. Is that monthly or yearly?

I get the whole NetProfits thing. They are hoping you love it so much you won’t cancel…cool by me.

My only question is about the SEO course. Is there some type of “catch” there or is that truly, honestly only going to cost the one time shipping fee and that’s it? Nothing to cancel …etc?

    Thanks Lynn.

    Nell

  • Lynn Terry // Sep 2, 2008 at 6:07 pm

    Hi Nell,

The Net Effect is a monthly publication. Its definitely worth that - and then some! Check out my video review if you havent already.

Good question on Stomping the Search Engines 2.0 - the answer is yes: its completely free for trying out The Net Effect (also for free) and there will not be a recurring charge there. Nothing to cancel - yours to keep free even if you cancel your subscription to The Net Effect (and now I sound like a tv commercial *lol*)…

  • Nell Taliercio // Sep 2, 2008 at 6:46 pm

Thank you for clearing that up for me Lynn. Sounds too good to pass up. And 39 per month really isn’t bad at all. I was expecting something along the lines of 97 - so 39 is a breath of fresh air :)

  • SteveC // Sep 2, 2008 at 8:57 pm

So Lynn, it’s free for everyone? Not just for members or anything like that?

  • Lynn Terry // Sep 2, 2008 at 9:02 pm

That’s right, Steve! Members got a copy of The Net Effect at the event weekend before last, and already have the training videos inside the membership site. This is a public offer, outside of StomperNet’s membership option.

    Enjoy!

  • SteveC // Sep 2, 2008 at 9:05 pm

That is excellent then, all that just for S/H for the DVD? I’m glad it *isn’t* $497…although I’d to be there someday to be able to plunk that much money down without even blinking an eye, I need to start small.

    I think this will help!

  • Lynn Terry // Sep 2, 2008 at 9:09 pm

It will definitely help - A LOT :)

I just got off a webcast and Andy said the s/h for in US is going to be only 9.95, so thats cool. Be ready to grab your copy tomorrow at 2pm eastern!

  • Andreas // Sep 3, 2008 at 4:31 am

I like the “no hazzle” cancel subscription of the magazine. You just have to CALL a phonenumber. They don’t mention what that will cost or what you will hear at the end.
Ofcourse this is a forget to cancel scheme.

  • Alan (new baby help guide now available) // Sep 3, 2008 at 5:00 am

That’s great. I’m feeling so excited about the whole thing that I’m going to go and buy it for $495 - just for the fun of it!

    Oh wait, I’m broke, I can’t :-(

I know, I’ll get it for free, then when I’ve made a fortune, I’ll go back and buy it!

Duh, I think I need to go lie down :-)

Thanks for always being so honest Lynn. I appreciate your straightforward reviews, and feel I can rely on what you say (unlike some others I better not mention). I’ll defintely use your link.

    Ta ra
    Alan

  • Shri // Sep 3, 2008 at 6:10 am

    Truly incredible offer.
Since we all had our hands burnt with offers along the years, i’ve been too wary of recent ones. But your review & FAQs have cleared loads of things for me.
Will be too happy to grab the cool stuff (with your referral link, ofcourse).

  • Lynn Terry // Sep 3, 2008 at 6:20 am

LOL Alan… thank you both ;)

I like the “no hazzle” cancel subscription of the magazine. You just have to CALL a phonenumber. They don’t mention what that will cost or what you will hear at the end. Of course this is a forget to cancel scheme.

    Andreas,

There is more than one way to cancel - there is an online option, as well as a phone number. They are setting it up to make it as easy as humanly possible.

This is not a scheme of any kind. Its an incredibly generous offer to give you an opportunity to “try before you buy”.

If you already know upfront that you’re not interested in cutting edge and advanced online marketing techniques, then skip the offer. No big deal ;)

  • Pedro // Sep 3, 2008 at 7:02 am

Fingers crossed. I just hope they really make it easy to cancel (if I don’t like it), and the “gifts” get here in a reasonable period of time (Europe, that is).

My credit card is ready, and I am ordering through your link, Lynn. Thanks for bringing this to my attention.

  • Lynn Terry // Sep 3, 2008 at 7:53 am

It will be easy. And just to put everyone at ease about the cancellation policy, you can come to me directly if you have ANY problem with it. I’m standing behind this 100%.

I’m also pretty confident you’re going to LOVE it and realize what a steal it is at the subscription rate ;) It is more resourceful, and hands-on application type material than most reports or ebooks you buy for twice that!

  • Janis Miller // Sep 3, 2008 at 8:02 am

Looking forward to the release today. I have your link ready, Lynn. Thank you for all the insight into this product. I know I would not have considered it without your endorsement.

    Live joyfully,

    Janis

  • John Jaworski // Sep 3, 2008 at 8:25 am

It’s funny - when ya see someone do something like Stompernet is doing - ya always feel…” so - OK - what’s the rub… whens the other shoe gonna drop?”

Sadly unlike what Lynn has told you There is a rub…

If you don’t watch and implement what you learn on the DVD’s and in the Net Effect magazine, the $9.95 you spend in shipping is a big waste of 10 bucks. And that’s the ONLY caveat.

Andy has made this a no brainer for ya. If you like it and find that the brainiacs on the Stompernet Faculty just might have a thing or two to teach ya every month, and that you will implement what ya learn, you spend $39.00.

That means just go the WEEKENDS without that Venti espresso chocolate chip frappachino and your subscription is paid for - and you’ll get a hell of a lot more out of the Net Effect than just a couple of pounds form those addictive Starbucks delights!

If ya don’t like what you have and honestly feel you don’t need the information you are getting from The Net Effect - simply go online or call the number in the magazine and cancel - no sweat. But…

You’ll have to learn the following line:

“Would You Like Fries With That?’ :-)

Seriously - as A Stompernet Coach and an owner of several E-Commerce stores - Stompernet offers World Class information and training… finally the masses will be able to take advantage of it through the Net Effect and Stomping The Search Engines 2.0.

The original Stomping The Search Engines was the first thing I bought from Brad and Andy and I can honestly say - it was game changing! It changed my business and my life - money has a way of doing that!

So… $9.95 for shipping and handling - it really is a no brainer - isn’t it. At 2:00 do yourself and business a favor and go to the link above. When ya see Lynn in person or online - you be sure to thank her! :-)

  • Andreas // Sep 3, 2008 at 8:32 am

They only mentioned a phonenumber and a image circuling it so I jumped to conclusions. Would be hard on the deaf people who want the magazine.

  • Lynn Terry // Sep 3, 2008 at 8:34 am

No problem Andreas - I’m glad you brought it up. Might as well hit all the bases, because I’m sure you’re not the only one that had that thought.

Like I said, if you have ANY problem regarding this offer - and this goes for anyone (using my referral link or not) - feel free to contact me directly. I am *that* confident you’ll be happy with it, and am willing to bank my reputation on the integrity of StomperNet.

And I wouldnt do that if I had any doubts ;)

  • Lynn Terry // Sep 3, 2008 at 8:46 am

Well said, John - I couldnt agree more. For all the skepticism and doubt, what some people dont realize is the quality of information that is being offered here is the same quality that hundreds of people are paying $800/month for. On a larger scale, and with personal coaching of course.

This generous offer is a great opportunity for EVERYone to get access to their step-by-step training methods and quality material. I couldnt be more excited about that… I’ve been waiting for this day for a LONG time!

My regular readers have been hearing me say that for the last six months or so on a pretty regular basis. That time is now (finally!) and like you said - its a no brainer.

I dont make a single dime if you grab this free offer and then cancel your subscription - but I want you to get it anyway, no matter what your intentions. If you take this SEO Course, and implement what you learn… your online business is going to skyrocket.

Sounds like a lot of hype, I know - but I gave tangible proof in my original review. If you want an authority listing of your own, and daily sales from your website(s) then this is the offer you need to be in on. Period.

    Here’s the link: http://www.clicknewz.com/stse2.htm

    Enjoy! ;)

  • Pedro // Sep 3, 2008 at 9:16 am

    “Only…
    It is finally here! ”

    No order button.

    I am missing something? :)

    - Pedro

  • Lynn Terry // Sep 3, 2008 at 9:18 am

Both products will be available today at 2pm eastern. There is a countdown on the page at http://www.clicknewz.com/stse2.htm

  • Pedro // Sep 3, 2008 at 9:24 am

    Lynn,

The problem is that the counter is in MY local time, and not theirs (here is already 15:23). It seems to be a glitch of some kind.

No problem. I’ll just have to wait a couple more hours.

    - Pedro

  • Paul Simister // Sep 3, 2008 at 9:26 am

It’s a shame that when programming the countdown, it didn’t take into account local time issues but used the clock on your PC.

I nearly had a heart attack when I logged in from the UK and it said there was two hours to go!

Still there is something exciting about launch day for these big Internet launches and this one is going to be massive.

I have to admit that traffic is pouring into my review of STSE now.

  • Lynn Terry // Sep 3, 2008 at 9:26 am

Ahh someone else pointed that out too. If it helps, as of right now the countdown is 4 hours and 33 minutes :)

  • Lynn Terry // Sep 3, 2008 at 9:27 am

Paul - I agree. I pick and choose which ones I get excited about… but this one has me pumped ;)

  • Paul Simister // Sep 3, 2008 at 9:42 am

Are you on EST Lynn because I’ve been telling everybody that 2:00pm EST is 7:00pm in the UK and that’s 3 hours 20 minutes away.

  • Lynn Terry // Sep 3, 2008 at 9:44 am

I’m on Central time actually. So it happens at 1:00 my time, which is just over 3 hours from now. So you’re right… hmm - maybe we shouldnt trust that countdown clock lol. Thanks for bringing that to my attention!

  • Andreas // Sep 3, 2008 at 10:30 am

    They should have used http://www.worldtime.com

  • Lynn Terry // Sep 3, 2008 at 10:50 am

    UPDATE

They’ve just pushed the release back to 3pm eastern (1 hour later). I’ll keep you posted of any other new details as I get them!

  • John Jaworski // Sep 3, 2008 at 11:33 am

Pushed it back! When will these guys stop adding more stuff. Enough already - We get it!

Stompernet over delivers all the time! Sheesh - drop the hammer already!
    :-)

  • Lynn Terry // Sep 3, 2008 at 11:41 am

LOL John - I hear ya! I heard through they were going to offer some amazing bonuses at the release… cant wait to see what they are!

  • Melissa Ingold // Sep 3, 2008 at 1:43 pm

Woo hoo, something for Free :-) Thanks for sharing this with us Lynn!

  • April // Sep 3, 2008 at 2:04 pm

    Hi Lynn,

Thank you for not only the great review, but for the FAQ as well. This is definitely a can’t miss offer! I will be sure to use your affiliate link having clicked on 3 others previously today, I was glad to know the LAST one is the click that counts–2 of the others did not exactly use full disclosure as to where the links were headed (don’t you just love that?)!

I have but one question. When you receive the subscription, it is a continuing subscription, as in you pay-as-you-go, the $39.97 per month charge, or is it an up-front, if you don’t cancel we charge your card $479.64 30 days from now?

Thanks again for all the work you put into providing us with the very complete information you always provide your readers. It is much appreciated!

    April

  • April // Sep 3, 2008 at 2:07 pm

Ugh, on their website now… they’ve pushed back the opening AGAIN?!
“NEW OPENING TIME: 3:30 p.m. Eastern”.

Just thought I’d let you know…

  • Lynn Terry // Sep 3, 2008 at 2:07 pm

    Great question, April!

It is billed monthly, so you’ll only have the low payment to worry about (39. and change).

They know exactly how everyone feels about dirty surprises. Trust me, they arent going to do anything to upset the market right now. Definitely have their finger on the pulse ;)

  • Lynn Terry // Sep 3, 2008 at 2:08 pm

I just saw that lol - its maddening to wait, isnt it??

They are all breaking a sweat on their end too. No worries… it’ll be up and running live in no time ;)

  • Laurie Neumann // Sep 3, 2008 at 2:09 pm

    Lynn,
Do you know if I can purchase thru my own affiliate link?

    Thanks!

  • WAHMs // Sep 3, 2008 at 2:10 pm

I am officially annoyed now. If you’re going to launch at 2:00…launch at 2:00 for Pete’s sake!!

I was really gung-ho to get STSE but I’m not a fan of being jerked around, so I’ll see if it’s still around later when I have time.

  • Loretta // Sep 3, 2008 at 2:10 pm

Waiting patiently with my debit card and cu of coffee by my side….

  • Rebecca // Sep 3, 2008 at 2:13 pm

    I’m like you, Loretta!
I have my card sitting right here waiting!

Lynn - Thanks for answering the questions and writing up the whole FAQ. It’s nice to have the info!

  • Lynn Terry // Sep 3, 2008 at 2:14 pm

Do you know if I can purchase thru my own affiliate link?

    LOL… I dont know

I am officially annoyed now… I’m not a fan of being jerked around

Do you really feel as if they are doing it on purpose? I assure you, they’re not. I’ve been talking to the StomperNet team on and off for 3 straight days. They’ve been up around the clock manning the technical end of this.

Its a generous offer, and they’ve put a lot of money and a lot of manpower behind this. The least we can do is be patient with them right now while they’re down to the wire.

  • Pedro // Sep 3, 2008 at 2:16 pm

    Lynn,

How many units are they going to ship? Do you know?

    - Pedro

  • Ontarian // Sep 3, 2008 at 2:18 pm

Hey Lynn, how long are you offering this; this is a No Brainer kind of Deal…

  • Zack // Sep 3, 2008 at 2:22 pm

I’m not surprised to see it actually. I think most folks don’t realize just what it takes to handle the staggering amount of traffic hitting their servers all at once as well as all the testing that goes into making the whole process work–especially when you add sudden bonuses to the mix!

And come on, isn’t this half the fun of a dramatic launch? It’s why we wait in line at the Apple store for a new phone. well OK, *I* wait in line—wouldn’t want to speak for anyone else . . .but anyway…

having a blast with this— got my card and my coffee, just like Loretta :)

  • Lynn Terry // Sep 3, 2008 at 2:22 pm

Definitely a no-brainer. The offer is by StomperNet, and I am honestly not sure. They are starting out on a trial basis to see what the market interest is - so definitely grab your copy ASAP in case it doesnt fly. You cant beat getting the $497 SEO Course free for checking out The Net Effect ;)

  • Lynn Terry // Sep 3, 2008 at 2:23 pm

    Here’s the link again:
    http://www.clicknewz.com/stse2.htm

Even if you plan to cancel your subscription immediately, I would appreciate you using my referral link. I’d love to see some numbers here :D

  • Lynn Terry // Sep 3, 2008 at 2:26 pm

How many units are they going to ship? Do you know?

Expectations range in the 15-20k area…

I anticipate the number goes much higher!

I think 4-5k will go out in the first shipment, so try to be quick!

  • Lynn Terry // Sep 3, 2008 at 2:28 pm

Lynn - Thanks for answering the questions and writing up the whole FAQ. It’s nice to have the info!

You’re most welcome - this has been a blast! ;)

  • Pedro // Sep 3, 2008 at 2:37 pm

LOL - another hour! Oh well, dinner time … ;)

    - Pedro

  • Lynn Terry // Sep 3, 2008 at 2:42 pm

Yeah, just got that note from Andy Jenkins:

AndyJenkins: looking more like 4:30 guys. Sorry. We’re getting KILLED.

I’m hungry too Pedro - dinner sounds like a good idea!

  • Al // Sep 3, 2008 at 2:46 pm

Now 4:30PM. Even for free the last second delays will get a lot of people very upset. Especially, if they tried at 2:00 then 3:00 then 3:30, now 4:30 and then can’t get thru the server(s). I know I will not be happy. I was logged on at the day job from 1:30 thru 3:15, then shot home only to find out now 4:30 and I’m on the east coast. I feel sorry for the ones overseas.

    Al

  • Martin M. // Sep 3, 2008 at 2:46 pm

    Hey Lynn,

Was it the first or last click that gets the affiliate commission?

I’m asking because these delays are very timely and convenient for other affiliates to send out the last email and catch the last click. I’ve gotten an email from just about all of Andy and Brad’s buddies except Frank Kern - Where’s Frank??…I’d just be interested in seeing Frank’s Mass Control spin on this launch.

I’m only using your link though.

Good luck…this is a No Brainer if there ever was one in this market place.

    Best,

    Martin

  • Mike // Sep 3, 2008 at 2:50 pm

    Hey, Lynn:

Maybe we could use this time more productively. Maybe you could give a prize for the person that guesses the actual time the site will be open.

    I’m taking 6:37 p.m. today.

    Good luck to everyone.

  • Al // Sep 3, 2008 at 3:00 pm

I was thinking the same Martin, where is Frank??? Also, Brad and Andy should have learned from Frank about underesimating server requirements. Mass Control was a frenzy.

    Al

  • Lynn Terry // Sep 3, 2008 at 3:06 pm

    First, latest from Andy:

“Thanks for the support everyone. Believe me, this is NOT the way I want to build buzz.”

As for Frank Kern, I saw his email. He didnt use a referral link, said he didnt have time to review the product. But he did announce it (before he went out surfing, of course)…

Martin- It’s the LAST click. And thank you for asking. I really appreciate you guys using my link. That means a lot. I plan to publish a case study and disclose the numbers (no matter how low/high) and have reasons for ‘tracking’ (that you’ll benefit from later too).

    The link again is:

  • Jean // Sep 3, 2008 at 3:41 pm

    Hey Lynn

Thanks for sending out that last email about the delay. I had just sent you an email right before I got yours asking if it was just me having a problem!

This is huge and I know it will be worth the wait!
    Thanks again!

  • USer // Sep 3, 2008 at 3:54 pm

    5:30pm now.
Cant state how disappointed I am… I am not in ET but overseas, didnt plan to stay up all night…. I mean, these are the “best” IM pros there are? And they cant launch a product without major unacceptable delays? And delaying it again and again and again and again??

  • Ken // Sep 3, 2008 at 3:55 pm

Now looks like 5:30pm. Hope I can get it later tonight, since I have a more pressing engagement at that time…. my son’s T-Ball game :-)

  • Lynn Terry // Sep 3, 2008 at 3:55 pm

    Pft

    Anyway…

Just checked in with Andy. They’ve isolated the problem and are working to get this back online. They certainly arent doing themselves any favors by having technical problems, and they are as frustrated as we are. So for now its “stand by…”

    I’ll keep you posted ;)

  • Al // Sep 3, 2008 at 3:55 pm

The worst part is that the video has to keep loading and I’ve already viewed it about 10 times more than I want too. The good thing is it is loading faster, not as many people???

  • Lynn Terry // Sep 3, 2008 at 3:56 pm

Note: You can always get it tomorrow :)

  • Martin M. // Sep 3, 2008 at 4:03 pm

By postponing it so many times in one hour and half hour delays they are greatly underestimating the value of other people’s time.

They would save face a bit if they just put it off until tomorrow at this point so the people overseas aren’t forced to stay up all night.

Maybe they should do a deal with Google to use their servers…LOL

Thats true Martin, but they obviously didnt anticipate the delays. And they cant be blamed because everyone wants to get it in the same nano-second. The offer will still be there tomorrow ;)

Not at all said to undermine the idea that your time is valuable, just for the record. I have been sitting here since 5:30am my time. I’m ready to go take a nap myself *smile*. I dont envy the crew in Atlanta! heh But to just get the free product offer, its not necessary to be there at the opening of the site.

I’ll double check on any limited time bonus offers or anything like that. I’m not sure of those details, but will find out for you just so we all know.

  • kristen // Sep 3, 2008 at 4:14 pm

well the good thing about waiting for 3 hours is that the darn movie finally played for me….small achievement but I’m happy

  • Robert Nelson // Sep 3, 2008 at 4:19 pm

Note: You can always get it tomorrow.

And miss the meltdown of there servers, not on your life.

But one has to agree with the posters about the pushbacks (and for that matter technical problems) that potential customers are experiencing ..

  • Lynn Terry // Sep 3, 2008 at 4:21 pm

    LOL Robert

I dont know why, but that cracked me up!

    And yeah - I’m tired too ;) Ready for a 3-day nap!

  • Al // Sep 3, 2008 at 4:21 pm

If the offer will be there tomorrow, then it would be wise for them to state it rather than these hour delays.

Not always fun to launch, either side. Bad things happen at the worst possible time. A lesson for all of us as we strive to be in their shoes. It could be one of us :)

  • Janis Miller // Sep 3, 2008 at 4:25 pm

Yes I suppose I could wait until tomorrow, but I figure the sooner I sign up the sooner I get it–no? I would like to know if there are some limits.

    Live joyfully!
    Janis
    @janismiller

  • Lynn Terry // Sep 3, 2008 at 4:25 pm

    I agree, Al :)

Update: They’ve added a new bonus, and a notification list (NOT a marketing list) if you’re tired of checking the site: http://www.clicknewz.com/stse2.htm

  • Janis Miller // Sep 3, 2008 at 4:27 pm

BTW, thank you Lynn for keeping us posted on what is going on and getting us the inside scoop.

    :-)

  • Laurie Neumann // Sep 3, 2008 at 4:28 pm

Thanks for keeping us updated, Lynn.

  • Robert Nelson // Sep 3, 2008 at 4:28 pm

They have now added a email notification if and when they launch. So it is now back in there court and waiting for the next Serve(unintentional choice of words) by them

Guess I’ll miss the meltdown as I’ll wait for the email which hopefully they will roll out in stages.

  • Del // Sep 3, 2008 at 4:30 pm

Lynn thanks for the update. I so new at this I thought I was the only one that couldn’t order the stse 2. I was clicking here, clicking there, checking other sites. Then Lynn tells me none of us have been able too. You guys would have been cracking up if you could have seen me. I’m still laughing ,LOL at myself. Yes humor helps embarresment.

  • Robert Nelson // Sep 3, 2008 at 4:33 pm

    Thanks Lynn for the updates

  • Al // Sep 3, 2008 at 4:35 pm

    Del:

Believe me you are not alone. New or not, you’re part of the majority.

Also, it is a good sign when someone can / does laugh at themselves.

    Al

  • Lynn Terry // Sep 3, 2008 at 4:36 pm

LOL Del, you’re not alone ;)

    Okay, new update from Andy:
Andy Jenkins: Gang, I feel like I’ve let you down. I’m SOOO Sorry. When I say I’ve got all 58 people working the issue, I mean it. Updates soon.

    (poor guy!)

AND… I asked about any limited time options that you might miss out on. There are NONE. The offer will be live for at least a week, so we’re all good. Make sure to sign up for the notification list (again, its not a marketing list) and you’ll be guaranteed to get what you want. So go here and do that now: http://www.clicknewz.com/stse2.htm

I’m getting a gazillion email replies on this so I’ll send out another note to SSWT readers. Sorry in advance if that email is old news to those of you that are tuning in here.

  • Martin M. // Sep 3, 2008 at 4:38 pm

You’ve got it Al…I don’t blame them for the Tech problems…it can happen to anyone, however they should have posted better updates ASAP rather than stringing people along for hours.

Once again they need to understand that other peoples time is worth something too.

I just feel bad that they are launching what I am sure is a great product but this mishap will hurt them. I know they are trying to build some good blood with the community after the huge backlashes of the past launches.

I’m sure it will all be forgotten and forgiven once everyone gets their FREE BOX O STUFF.

    Off to dinner now.

  • Martin M. // Sep 3, 2008 at 4:39 pm

One last comment…thanks Lynn for the updates…they should hire you as their PR person!

  • Lynn Terry // Sep 3, 2008 at 4:41 pm

    SHHHHH

Dont say stuff like that out loud, Martin :P lol

  • Paul Simister // Sep 3, 2008 at 4:43 pm

    Lynn
You are clearly much better connected with StomperNet than me but I do feel so sorry for Andy and Brad.

It has become a cliché that servers crash but it is incredible how often this is happening with these big launches.

  • Lynn Terry // Sep 3, 2008 at 4:44 pm

I just feel bad that they are launching what I am sure is a great product but this mishap will hurt them. I know they are trying to build some good blood with the community after the huge backlashes of the past launches.

Ditto that. I know firsthand they were trying to avoid this, or anything even remotely like it, at all costs. It’ll pan out shortly I’m sure and hopefully no major rep damage. The crew rocks!

  • Mike // Sep 3, 2008 at 4:44 pm

Thanks for your continued concern. My only question is that now they have a notification list form on the site. Will you still get “credit” for the sale, if I sign up for the notification?

I certainly want them to recognize your efforts.

    Regards,

    Mike

  • Lynn Terry // Sep 3, 2008 at 4:46 pm

I’m not 100% sure, Mike. That question went through my head too. I know that they would not intentionally cut anyone out, but I dont know what they have in place there either.

If you want to keep this link handy, you can use it once you get the notification email from them: http://www.clicknewz.com/stse2.htm

And THANK YOU for the support. Its greatly appreciated!

  • Al // Sep 3, 2008 at 5:03 pm

    Lynn

I did receive a couple of others and one of them is already a 404, couple of hours ago. I checked at the 430 delay when their servers went real slow.

    I’m hanging with you.

    Al

  • Lynn Terry // Sep 3, 2008 at 5:06 pm

Thanks Al ;) Its nice to have a little company during the wait, at least *grin*

I’m going to send out that email now (dont shoot me!) - my inbox is filling up…

  • Robert Nelson // Sep 3, 2008 at 5:21 pm

Get “Stomping the Search Engines 2″ for FREE
    on Wednesday, September 3rd!

We’re So Sorry. We’re having server issues. This offer is STILL available and as soon as we can, we’ll activate our order system

If you enter your email in our notification list, we’ll let you know the moment we’re ready. Thanks and Sorry for the delay. Don’t worry about missing out - we have plenty in stock, and we’re already making more copies.

    Sincerely,
    Andy Jenkins and Brad Fallon

  • Bill // Sep 3, 2008 at 5:25 pm

Has anyone said what the problem is? Just high traffic demands or some other technical issues?

    BC

  • Sheryl Loch // Sep 3, 2008 at 5:26 pm

    Oh Lynn,
I am waiting and will keep watching here and for a tweet that they are ready to roll.
I am still reading the book by Dan Thies that you recommended. That will keep my brain plenty busy.

I do not think this will really hurt them. People either want the info or they don’t. I for one want all the information they are offering so, if I have to wait a few hours no big deal. Otherwise I could get mad, not take the offer (yes, punish them) and still be sitting on my butt with no help.

I will be back and then I will be on my way to being a Stomping the Search Engines QUEEN! Maybe not the Queen but, I’ll at least have a start in the right direction. ;)
    Thanks for all the updates,
    Sheryl

  • Lynn Terry // Sep 3, 2008 at 5:28 pm

BC - this was the update 2 hours ago:

AndyJenkins: Okay - Isolated the problem. The api with fulfillment is being crushed. We’re looking at logs to fix. Someone kill me.

  • Lynn Terry // Sep 3, 2008 at 5:28 pm

    Good attitude Sheryl! :D

You either want it or you dont. Great point!

  • Laurie Neumann // Sep 3, 2008 at 6:08 pm

I appreciate yours and Martin’s comments. I was thinking the same thing. I think they were partly trying to improve their relations with people by offering this for free and now people will be upset with them. I”m not sure why anyone should be upset - they are getting a great free product. Unfortunately, these things happen. I’m sure the Stompernet crew is extremely frustrated.

  • Lynn Terry // Sep 3, 2008 at 6:10 pm

They are, Laurie… Its unfortunate, really.

    New update from Andy:
AndyJenkins: Recording short video update. Some Good News. Gimme about 30 minutes to have it published.

Should be able to see it here in about half hour:
    http://www.clicknewz.com/stse2.htm

  • WAHMs // Sep 3, 2008 at 6:22 pm

I know my comment above sounded very negative, and you’re right Lynn - it IS free and it is good. I guess it’s just that with every major launch there seems to be a glitch, a server overload, or some other major catastrophe. It just seems that it’s the thing to do to create a bigger buzz these days.

I’m sure it will be a very good product though. Anything coming from the Stompernet gang always is.

  • Lynn Terry // Sep 3, 2008 at 6:39 pm

Totally understandable, given all our past experiences. That’s why its so unfortunate this actually happened to them during their “making good with the market” premier of The Net Effect…

  • Sheryl Loch // Sep 3, 2008 at 6:49 pm

I think what makes this Glitch ok with me was seeing Andy last night on the Thirty Day Challenge TV. He was very upfront with everything, even the fact of how to cancel (if you want), acknowledging the fact that the non US residents needed a better contact phone number, and that he let us know he was not perfect (he started out just like us). All of those things are not seen by some of the BIG names online. Having Ed Dale back him is always a help (in my eyes).
Not all guru’s are created equal! LOL!

  • Al // Sep 3, 2008 at 6:50 pm

Lynn I just have to tell you….
I’m on the list’s of many on the top guru’s and other than the initial emails and one follow up that stated 5:30PM, I’ve received nothing.

No, wait there was another one from you and as always good updated information. That is why you are special. You actually do care.

Also, I must admit that the other one stating 5:30 surprised me as I’m not usually very happy with that (no names) customer service.

Also, also, I did get Frank’s “Why I said No…” email.

    Al

  • Lynn Terry // Sep 3, 2008 at 7:03 pm

    Sheryl,

I watched that broadcast too - great, wasnt it? I have to admit I was smiling ear to ear when he commented about my review outranking StomperNet for the product lol…

Andy is cool like that though - even after achieving such great success in the last 4 years with StomperNet (not to mention his own sites prior).

I have been to two of their live events. Both times I made it a point to stay out of the stampede and not bother Andy - the man barely sleeps over the course of his 3-day event. But last time I did make it a point to speak to him before I left. He turned down my offer to shake hands, and gave me a big fat hug instead!

A cool guy, for sure. I admire him for being down to earth given his position in the market. And for those that think him arrogant, I think he was like that before all this happened (lol). Its part of his charismatic personality!

  • Lynn Terry // Sep 3, 2008 at 7:08 pm

    Thank you Al :D

I do care, but I’ll also confess that it was easier to email everyone than continuing to answer individual emails by the dozens lol…

  • Lynn Terry // Sep 3, 2008 at 7:25 pm

Newest update about 1 minute ago:
AndyJenkins: Okay Guys - We’re gonna go live at 2pm EST tomorrow. I’ll have the video message with details in about 10 minutes.

You’ll be able to find that video from Andy at:
    http://www.clicknewz.com/stse2.htm

  • Lisa Marie Mary // Sep 3, 2008 at 7:34 pm

Well, at least we can get some rest! I bet they won’t, for sure! Bummer for them!

  • Lynn Terry // Sep 3, 2008 at 8:29 pm

One more update (and then I’m with Lisa!)

AndyJenkins: Okay - just added drop dead killer bonus to Stomping the SE’s 2 package. SN members are pissed about it. Details tomorrow.

Cool - looks like tomorrow will be worth the wait ;)

And FYI, I already have a copy of both products… but I’m signing up myself as soon as the cart opens. Wouldnt miss out on the subscription (and the bonuses of course!) for anything ;)

  • imelda // Sep 4, 2008 at 12:10 am

if its effectiveness is proved, why not?

  • Lynn Terry // Sep 4, 2008 at 6:40 am

About proof, did you get a chance to read my review? I included some there.

Also if you search these phrases on Google:
    -stomping the search engines 2.0
    - stomping the search engines 2
…then you’ll find me in the top ten results

    Or:
    - stomping the search engines
    - the net effect
… you’ll find me on page 2 of Google search

This being a brand new product which just releases this week, those are of course great results. My goal with that being to share how well SEO does work, with tangible proof.

And by the way, its more than doubled my traffic in the last 4 days to hold top spots for such a highly searched “hot market” type product ;)

So yes, I highly recommend you grab both of these free products when they become available today. It will be well worth the wait!

  • Natalie A. // Sep 4, 2008 at 9:20 am

I am becoming more and more excited about this course. But I do have a question in relation to SEO. I know in the past, you have recommended SEO Fast Start as a great place to begin in SEO. Would you recommend Stomping The Search Engine 2 over SEO fast start?

    Thanks Lynn!

    Best Regards,

    Natalie

  • aught // Sep 4, 2008 at 9:47 am

As a member for StomperNet, I have previewed both the courseware and the magazine. You really MUST see this stuff if you want to know about SEO.

    Nice write-up Lynn!

    aught

  • Lynn Terry // Sep 4, 2008 at 10:44 am

Thank you Aught - great to have recommendation from a StomperNet member too!

Natalie - I recommend both. They are both free, and Dan Thies is the man behind both products. You can get his free download at http://www.seofaststart.com and then get the free video course and the premier edition of The Net Effect today from http://www.clicknewz.com/stse2.htm .

You cant go wrong by having both. There are more experts on board with the video course, and it will just be that much more you can know and use to really skyrocket your online earnings.

  • Natalie A. // Sep 4, 2008 at 11:30 am

Thanks Lynn! I thought I heard his name mentioned in the video I watched earlier today but thought I was dreaming or something.

I have loved what I have read so far of his SEO Fast Start, so I will definitely snag myself a copy of STSE2.

    In gratitude,

    Natalie

PS. thanks again for recommending SEO Fast Start to me. It has been EXTREMELY helpful.

  • Al // Sep 4, 2008 at 1:17 pm

Looks like it’s still not working. Just tried and still has the last video (apology) from last night. I have to say that Andy seems like a stand up guy and will make good to all of us that keep refreshing. I’ll check again in about an hour.

Andy - if you read this… I feel for you but, I am glad it’s you and not me. I’ll take my meltdown in the future and I’m sure I will.

    Al

  • Lynn Terry // Sep 4, 2008 at 1:20 pm

    Most welcome, Natalie :)

Al, I’m keeping an eye out for an update. I was expecting launch 20 minutes ago. Last word from Andy was just under 45 minutes ago - says “we are getting close”…

    Will keep you posted ;)

  • Dan Reinhold // Sep 4, 2008 at 1:30 pm

Still a no go at 2 p.m. Eastern.

    Siiiigh.

  • Lynn Terry // Sep 4, 2008 at 1:45 pm

True Dan, I was hoping to see an update too. I’m waiting patiently (as possible lol). The good news is that you can relax - the offer is not going to sell out or disappear so once it goes live you can wait until its more stable even. They do have a notification list up at http://www.clicknewz.com/stse2.htm now too if you want to get an email when its available.

  • Stuart Reid // Sep 4, 2008 at 1:48 pm

Yes - I’ve seen the review copy and can only say GO GRAB THIS.

Stomping The Search Engines 2 is perhaps the ultimate marketer’s SEO course, and for free it’s a no brainer.

Top marks for presentation, content, style and quality.

  • Julie // Sep 4, 2008 at 2:42 pm

    Hi Lynn–
First I want to thank you for the personal response to my frantic e-mail yesterday! Secondly, thank you for taking the time to keep us all posted AND for the product review! I am a night owl, so kept checking the site all night thinking I would have a better chance in the middle of the night, oh well! I can’t wait to get this! The anticipation is killing me after all this, ha!

    Have a great day,
    Juls

  • Lynn Terry // Sep 4, 2008 at 3:13 pm

Most welcome, Julie - you werent alone ;)

When you leave a comment here you have the option to subscribe - that will send you email notification when there are updates to this discussion.

  • Nell Taliercio // Sep 4, 2008 at 3:21 pm

Come on guys, I’m dying over here! This better not be part of the launch hype LOL

  • Al // Sep 4, 2008 at 3:46 pm

Well, past 4:30 and nothing new to report. Unless Lynn’s received an update. Atleast there isn’t supposed to be a tight deadline. Which is a good thing actually. Big popular launches have a way of testing the limits of servers.

Reminds me of a trip to the Bahamas and we would feed the fish in the water. As soon as the cereal hit the water there would be tons of fish surrounding you. It was an awesome site, feeding frenzy.

    Al

  • Lynn Terry // Sep 4, 2008 at 4:01 pm

No news here either, Al - but I’m keeping my eyes peeled…

This better not be part of the launch hype LOL

Its not ;) I dont think they would be so bold as to risk it considering how volatile the IM market is right now, to be honest. Wouldnt be a smart move.

They are working on resolution. I’ll keep you posted the minute I hear anything!

  • aught // Sep 4, 2008 at 4:07 pm

    All,

Just sign-up for their notification. I am sure they are working hard on getting the shopping cart issue resolved. Andy Jenkins said he will add some extra bonuses and I can say that when he says something he delivers!

    aught

  • Al // Sep 4, 2008 at 4:40 pm

I agree Lynn, this isn’t part of any hype. The initial delays, not saying nor thinking they were, would be a use of hype. Increasing everyones eagerness thru anticipation. Want but can’t have it yet.

Now however some of the hype has faded and there are not as many people sitting at their PC’s hitting refresh over and over. I’m not. I come back to check from time to time. Also, the webpage loads quickly. That would tell me that not as many are trying to access it at the same nano second.

My thought is that the server issue has probably had an adverse affect.

I wonder if there is any type of business insurance that covers issues similar to this?

  • Lynn Terry // Sep 4, 2008 at 5:25 pm

I dont know, Al - good question. There has to be a solution (obviously there’s a market for one lol). And you’re right, it certainly isnt a buzz tactic as they are losing momentum by the minute.

Still, I think they’ll be shipping A LOT of copies of both of these products all said and done ;)

  • Lynn Terry // Sep 4, 2008 at 5:39 pm

    Indirect Update from reliable source:
JuliePerry: Just got off phone w/ Brad Fallon RE Stomper launch. Keep an eye on his YouTube channel in about an hour 4 Stomper update (& contest). Fun. http://www.youtube.com/bradfallon

I know Julie has worked with Brad on the free line report, so I assume this is a sure thing. If I hear anything from official sources, will let you know…

  • Sheryl Loch // Sep 4, 2008 at 5:56 pm

I for one have used my wait time effectively.
I have the tent, TV, AC, lots of food… all set up down at the mailbox.
The computer & connection are a bit iffy at this point but, I can yell loud enough to have Brad & Cait tweek it as needed.
Once I have confirmed my order then, I will be moving down there.
I figure I have lost a day waiting so now, as soon as the mail person drops it off, I will not even need to waste time walking back up to the house to start reading & catching up.
Do not send me mail that I will be ignoring my daughter while I’m away – she can skype me anytime.
Well, I think Brad is about done with the extended dog run (so they can also come see me). I better go double check my bags and make sure I have everything.
So, I am not complaining, I just had to reorganize my thinking.
Life is never set in stone so, we must be ready to adapt!

Well, “estranged” wife never supported anything I wanted to do. She was aware of my enrollment in Mass Control and left with about a week to go. My head went to gaga land but, now it’s back.

Time to get the last laugh. She can have her pile of credit card debt, 30,000 + and growing, and I can have money.

Sorry but, I do need my motivation. I tried very hard to work out the problem. She wasn’t.

Time to camp out like Sheryl:)

    Hey Jenn,

No problem - that’s what the FAQ is for!

If you paid via PayPal, check your account to see if it went through. If not, you can try again. Otherwise, you can email support directly at stse2support(AT)stompernet(DOT)com with any questions or concerns.

I’m not sure what their response time is at the moment, due to the popoularity of this offer - but they’ll take good care of you there ;)

Thanks! Paid with CC, just wanted to see if I was the only one before “bothering” them :) I’m sure they are swamped. I’ll see about it tomorrow or just leave it alone if I hear others had the same issue.

  • Lisa // Sep 4, 2008 at 8:49 pm

Jenn, I got the same page. I’ve emailed stompernet to see if my order went through. I didn’t get any email confirmation or anything.

  • Lynn Terry // Sep 4, 2008 at 9:05 pm

I think the cart is balking at the volume of requests. No worries - you wont miss out by waiting to double check if yours went through. I’m sure they’ll be working overtime to answer questions!

Have ordered and it was confirmed after wading through all the upgrades.Just once I’d like a offer to be as advertised, not with one or more”one-time only offers”.

  • Robert Nelson // Sep 4, 2008 at 9:35 pm

Just received my email confirming the order. Now it is wait for the mailman time.

  • Lynn Terry // Sep 4, 2008 at 9:48 pm

Sweet - glad you survived the process :)

The offer is definitely “as advertised”. I understood they would offer some deals on the backend, but didnt have ALL the details on that. Personally I’m excited about it because they havent released ANYthing for less than $800/month in *years*. Easy enough to say no, but great to have the opportunity to get their training material too.

I also got the logo page - but my email confirmation arrived soon after. I can’t wait to get the mag! The hard-sell upgrades were not my style - I came close to backing out. But I’m sure it will be worth it in the end.

I think it’s unlikely their mishap did them much harm though. Us SEO types are quite forgiving ;-)

  • Jenn Dize // Sep 4, 2008 at 10:46 pm

Just for anyone else who had the problem I did…I tried it again and my original order had NOT gone through. Like Lynn said…it must have hiccuped.

You should eventually (after the upsells) get to a confirmation page, and then nearly immediately get a confirmation.

:) I’m excited to get it!

Lynn, you’re awesome to provide all this coverage. I’ve been a subscriber for a while, but I’m definitely going to stop in more often!

  • Lynn Terry // Sep 4, 2008 at 10:48 pm

    Thank you Jenn :D

I cant wait for you guys to actually GET the package in the mail. You’re going to love it!!

    Lynn,

    Quick question-
I’m new at SEO and wondered, when the package does arrive do you suggest listening to 1 first or going straight with 2? Do they refer to things taught in 1 that I should learn first?

  • Lynn Terry // Sep 4, 2008 at 11:08 pm

    Hey Rebecca,

Me personally? I skipped 1 altogether and dove straight into the 2.0 video course. Its current, which is important - plus the video held my attention better (I’m too easily distracted with just audio lol). Speaking of current, the week before they went to print with the DVD they did a last-minute update with even newer info included… so its about as current as you can get!

That would be my 2c anyway - 2.0 all the way :)

    Lynn,

You mentioned paying by PayPal. Where is this option? I tried ordering, but it kept telling me that the card transaction was unsuccessful :-(

How can I pay with PayPal?

    Thanks,
    Alan

  • Alan (new baby help guide now available) // Sep 5, 2008 at 3:13 am

OK, forget that. I tried a different card and it worked OK.

What a lot of one-time offers though! Sure was a hard sell to get your free stuff!

And yes, even though I’m a big cynic when it comes to OTOs, I still succumbed and bought the slim-line version of the home study course!

Thanks Lynn, hope you make loads out of this. Your support to your readers has been second-to-none.

    Ta ra

I’m going to wait out a few hours because I think there’s something wrong with the order page. When I hit the order button, I get thrown back to the same exact order page. No confirmation emails received either. I want my course :(

  • Lisa // Sep 5, 2008 at 4:43 am

I also went back and put my order through again - it definitely had not gone through the first time. Now I see what you all mean about the hard sell upgrades. I also went with the slimline version - after I had passed up the full package. I would have been upset if I had ordered the full package and then found out about the slimline version!

So…thanks again Lynn for all your hard work! hope you make some serious cash from this :)

Just read Jenn’s posts above and I ended at the same page. I didn
