You’re in luck cause you found the right person to “have some type of state in your success”.

Lynn cares very, very much about her readers, subscribers and customers! (If you read through a few posts here on the blog – you’ll see that coming through loud and clear – especially if you read the comments left by others as well!)

Another cool thing that I touched on above is, she’s not just telling others how to do things – she’s doing it herself too!

Something to keep in mind here is that [u]good[/u] [u]marketers[/u] don’t believe in competition. They believe in the fact that so-called competition is the best way to keep you on your toes and they’re not competitors – they’re JV’s

Did Lynn jump to her own defence and tell me I was wrong? Did she blame me for not implementing her advice? Did she say I hadn’t done it right? No, she thanked us all (presumably including me) for our feedback.

Did Lynn simply answer “Buy the new version and you’ll find your question answered” like the majority of IM people would have? No, she offered specific help, based on her own knowledge of my product.

To make it clear, Lynn and I aren’t big buddies who chat every day. I read her blog and make comments, but that’s about as far as it goes.

The fact that she remembers what my product is – despite it being some time since we discussed it – is further proof to what I want to get at.

If you’re in any doubts about Lynn, don’t be. She’s that rarest of people in IM, she cares about her readers and is interested in more than just the bottom Dollar. Every heard of customer service? It’s rare nowadays, but it can be found right here folks

Lynn, thanks for the offer. I’ll take you up on it as soon as I get my head straight. The new baby is taking up quite a bit of time, especially with a few health issues she has, but I’ll get back into the private forum and take you up.

Generally, I sit back and watch the show only getting involved if I’m engaged by someone else.

I’ve always wanted to start a web-based venture. Affiliate marketing “scares” me. Sort of like Carlton Sheets and all of those real estate guys from the early 90′s.

My feeling is always that whomever is giving out their “advice for a price” is not really interested in making you succeed because in doing so, it would create competition for them. I’d feel more comfortable if the “tutor” had some type of state in your success.

Nevertheless, I sense that Lynn is real so I am going to take the leap of faith and give up 2 starbucks lattes for her e-book.

I am skeptical, I am hopeful. I’ll report back.
I hope I am not insulting anyone. Just trying to “keep it real” (which will be the monicker of my blog if I ever write one.)

I actually have some insight that might help you Alan, since I know your product. Start a new thread in the private forum if you’d like to work on this together

[b]But[/b] (and you knew there was going to be one of those, right?), it’s not as easy as you might think. I have tried it, and found that finding JVs was a very difficult task. I don’t work in the IM market, so I don’t know if that’s relevant, but finding anyone who had enough idea about marketing, but who was interested in selling my product rather than their own was nigh on impossible.

I sent out over 300 e-mails attempting to get this going, and only got a handful of responses. Of them, none of them had much clue about marketing, so I didn’t make any money.

This isn’t a criticism, it’s a comment. The report is well worth reading, especially at that price. I don’t know if the new version will address the issue I mentioned above, but maybe Lynn could take it as feedback. Either way, I’m looking forward to version 2.
