Amazon.com is bringing the frenzy of Black Friday to the web this year, for people who would prefer to shop from the comfort of their own home. In addition to their usual Black Friday specials, they are hosting an interactive live event called Amazon Customers Vote 2008
You’ll find the traditional Amazon Black Friday Deals
Here’s how it works:
First you browse the ridiculous deals that Amazon is offering and choose the products you would like to buy at the special prices. This doesnt obligate you to purchase those products, but qualifies you for the opportunity.
Keep an eye on your email to see if you’ve been selected to partcipate in the buying round. If so, log in early on ‘race day’ and compete with others to buy at that price. Quantities will be limited so you’ll truly be in a race to get the products you want!

This sounds like a great way to get customers on the list and sell product. It allows people who may not have been there on a first come first serve basis to have a shot at it and for Amazon a chance to move more product if the demand is there.
Those are actually some super deals. Amazon do offer the best prices in the market. Lets see what they got for the Christmas.
Smart marketing strategy by Amazon. People loves the idea of getting great deals. Keep building up their list of new customers.
I was tempted but was too busy to do my shopping that day. I went back to Amazon 3 days later and got it all done. Wonder how much more I paid?
I see a very nice trend in searches for the coupon based communities.
It’s interesting how this might affect Amazon.
The idea is smart. One gathers a community of people interested to buy something with nice discount. At the same time this person megotiates a discount with sellers.
Everybody is happy:
- people get products with discounts
- shops sell more
And this trend is entering more and more online shops.
