Question: Can You Become A Millionaire Online?
The answer to that question is obvious. In fact, the question is not can you become a millionaire, but will you become a millionaire?
Interestingly, keyword research shows that more people want to play the game Who Wants To Be A Millionaire than actually become a millionaire themselves. Setting a goal to become a millionaire induces that fear of failure. You can avoid both fear and failure by not setting goals at all. Simple as that.
When I catch myself thinking like that, it really frustrates me. Complacency is evil. Nothing incredible ever came out of the status quo in my life, and I dont expect incredible things to start happening while I’m dilly-dallying around…
Idea to Plan to Action – thats what it takes, and I know that. And just taking action isnt enough. You have to follow it all the way through. Right? Its not rocket science. But simple as it is, most of us have some sort of mental block when it comes to setting BIG goals. We conveniently consider it to be “out of our reach”, relieving ourselves of the responsibility of taking any kind of foward action on it.
Does that not infuriate you? Make you feel silly? It does me. I’m smarter than that. We all are. It doesnt matter what the goal is – to become a millionaire is just one example.
So here we are trucking along in our online business, content with goals like earning $1,000/month or $100k/year or whatever your magic number happens to be. As long as your goal is a bit of a stretch, meaning there’s a bit of challenge and investment involved, that’s a good thing. But if you’re coasting, you are complacent – and again, nothing incredible ever comes out of complacency.
My goal with this post is to motivate us – you and me both. Here I sit in beautiful Australia, peeking over my laptop screen at the gorgeous ocean view… realizing that this view could be mine. I could wake up every morning and walk to the beach and feel the warm sand between my toes.
There’s truly nothing standing between me and Australia (or anywhere, or any goal for that matter) except: Idea to Plan to Action. The only thing that ever stands in our way… is ourselves.
Its a beautiful day here on the Mornington Peninsula and I am off to enjoy it before I head into Melbourne tonight for the Thirty Day Challenge meetup with Ed Dale & friends. Great post Lynn – as the numbers show, only about 5 – 10% of people ever actually act on the opportunities they’ve been shown. Sad, but true… You are an inspiration in how you’ve taken action and created your success.

I’m not sure most people are coasting as much as working hard instead of working smarter. I think I’m on that road; as an independent consultant, I work pretty hard to get work, then when I get it, I get paid nicely, but nothing near the value I bring to the clients. I really have to figure out that next step, which is a bit harder in this economic environment, but I’m hoping that next step is internet marketing in some great fashion. I am a big believer that you can achieve anything you want in you are life with desire and hard work.
Therefore, if you really want to be a millionaire and you can visualize yourself to be a millionaire one day you can do it.
Just figure out how you can achieve your goal.
Make your plan.
Write down your plan step by step.
Following your plan until to achieve your goal.
Anything is possible in your life if you can visualize it.

Great Question. Personally I believe anyone can become a millionare, whether online or offline.
You need a plan of action and plenty of hard work. Nobody will become a millionare by doing nothing. Also you need to make short, medium and long term goals, then review them regularly. Also it would be a fantastic idea to have a mentor, one who has already made it into the big time. There are plenty to be found who will help you. Here’s to success for us all.

I didn’t see the video, but I do like this post. I think people just like to settle because its “safer.” These people have no right to complain, but are often the biggest cry babies on the planet.
I think if you truly believe that you’ll be successful then you’ve overcome a major hurdle. Once you get rid of that doubt then that new confidence is a wave that you can ride along on.
I was just reading back over this post, and really enjoyed all the comments here. I didnt get a chance to read them before as I was traveling, so I’ll take this opportunity to say: thank you.
Jill, you make a good point. I have been busy this past week closing out the last quarter of ’08 and making plans & setting goals for the year ahead.
I was talking to a couple of friends of mine last night, who are both in the beginning stages of setting up their own online business. The point was made that Goal Setting seems to be a common thread among those who have achieved success. “There must be something to it”. I couldnt agree more. Knowing where I’ve been, where I am, and where I want to be next have helped me tremendously.
Personally, I dont really care anything about being a millionaire. Not just for the sake of having the money, or for bragging rights – or for whatever reason people choose ANY monetary goal.
Its not about the numbers for me, so much as it is about creating the life I want. I dont think any of us can really ask for much more than that. The goal being to figure out what you want (not how much money you want) – and then figure out how much money you need to have to make that happen.
Even if you had a million banked, you’d still have to figure that out – so you might as well start out with some real goals.
Goals are cool. I never spend money I dont have. I go at it like this: “I think I want to visit Australia. Cool. I’ll go make the extra $xk and go!” It keeps life fun
Fortunately we ALL have that opportunity – thanks to the internet, and the passive income we can generate here.
Ironically, while I was gone in December playing on the beaches of sunny Australia… I had my best month yet in regards to passive income. You cant beat that for inspiration!
