Hi Lynn,
We all have those days. Thing is there is an army of people that follow & admire you. I know you're much better now but I wanted to remind you: if you ever feel that way again go back and read the poem I wrote for your birthday.
You're a winner Lynn, a self starter and a go getter.
Pooey on nay sayers ;-) (LOL)

Hi Brad,

WordPress has a little rule which is that if you've commented here before, your comments are then automatically approved & published. I dont manually review every new comment by frequent readers...

That being the case, your comment showed up immediately - and also went out via email to the 40-something other people who commented before you, and were subscribed to comment updates.

I'm going to do us both a favor... and delete your comment :)

Best,
Lynn Terry

I'm sorry you're having a bad day, but your post is very timely. Form many, the holidays are a painful reminder of family and friends we've lost.

I just got back from my brother-in-laws house... his brother passed. He was the middle of 5 brothers and without any warning (other than he hadn't been to the doctor in over a year)... he started feeling bad and it wasn't going away, they took him to the hospital, was admitted, but it was too late.

I tell you this because sometimes we get overly depressed when, if you start naming all the qualities we have: (life, limbs, the fact that we live in such a great country) - whenever you start feeling depressed, just think of the many people that don't have anything!

It really is helpful to put things in perspective and make a list of all the good things in your life - just start writing them down... Start remembering the best times and people in your life... and most importantly: Find a lesson from whatever got you down. We either learn from others experiences or from our own... So make sure you find a lesson!

In the case of my brother-in-law's brother, we learned how trivial our problems really are and how important preventative medicine is!

So many times it's not what we do, but what we FAIL to do that can make the difference. So, if you too are having a poor day, just compare it to the alternative... AND MAKE SURE YOU GET REGULAR CHECK-UPS!

The times ahead don't look as good - and to some they're going through really tough times... Through all this, remember you're not alone. Of course you should reach out to family and friends, but also remember that we all have each other here...

Way ta go, Lynn! It takes a great deal of courage to admit " a down day" ... especially for someone who is obviously successful at what they do.
I know you're not asking for a "fix it" comment, but liked your reference to "this too shall pass." I'm 76 , been around the world and a couple county fairs, suffered countless mental and physical torments; and the knowledge of "this too shall pass," has always put my thinking back on track. That, and "will I be worried about this tomorrow? Probably not."

"Here's da main ting: Keep da main ting, da main ting." (wise old Hawaiian saying)

Lynn,
Thanks for sharing. I felt that way last week when my boss told me that I wasn't worth what he was paying me. His opinion of me will not be my reality and I believe that I have found my calling in this business, I love computers, working on them, making them do what I want them to do... I love the internet and I love helping people. Thanks for being down to earth - we love you for that...ml

You guys rock! ;)

Thank goodness these kinds of days dont 'stick'.

That thought reminded me of another post, a much more personal one that I published on my MySpace blog, where I said <em>"Its funny how life doesn't stop for broken hearts. The sun keeps rising and time keeps passing as if you don't even matter ... I realized then that I was thankful that the sun always rises, and that time never stops for broken hearts."</em>

You can read it <a href="http://blogs.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=blog.view&friendID=32636502&blogID=206238116">here</a> if you like.

Thank you for all the great comments here. Yes I'm back in the swing of things, these phases come and go as always. Here's to a great year - with less of these days! ;) *cheers*

You are not a sook Lynn. You need to whinge and bitch for a few days to qualify in that department I'm afraid.

The more people we deal with, the greater the chance that one of them will pull a piece of 4 x 2 out and smash you between the optics for what is often no justifiable reason.

I have no problem rolling with informed and constructive comment the vast majority of the time. It's really odd, but it seems to be the ill informed comments by the morons that hurt more for some reason!

Cheers,

I think it's good for all us to admit when the times are tough or slow. It happens- no matter who we are or how passionate we are about what we do.

I think the biggest thing that has changed the Internet in recent months has been that social media and blogging is teaching all of us to be real and be ourselves.

Thanks for the touch point. I get feeling overwhelmed sometimes and it's a lonely feeling.

Glad you're feeling better today, Lynn!

Onward and upward!
