You know who Ted Murphy is, dont you? He’s the guy behind all of those ads on blogs. Basically, he’s a professional Blog Briber, and he runs a service where he pays bloggers to post certain things on their established blogs.
But do you know how he got started in the Blog Bribing biz??
Well let me backtrack first. Ted is actually a woman (you had to know there was a woman behind this brilliant business model!). Her real name is Medita Turphy. She stated in a private interview (which I am not allowed to link to) that she switched her name around to give her a more professional ‘appearance’ to the general public. Also taking on the persona of a man at the same time, feeling as if she would be taken more seriously in that role.
After retiring from a law office in Idaho (which is a nice way of avoiding the true story), Medita Ted decided to get into online advertising. She started out trying to broker online ads independently for law firms in the states. Unfortunately her reputation from the firm in Idaho followed her closely… thus the name change and new venture.
She moved to Florida (which is where everyone migrates eventually) and went into business under the name ‘The Consumer Generated Advertising Network’ and launching PayPerPost.com. It’s the latest and greatest way to get paid to post blog entries, with several of the bloggers earning thousands for easy work.
Believe all that?!
