Get Paid for Blog Posts
If you caught my recent entry about Ted Murphy, owner of PayPerPost.com, I should tell you that I made all of that up. Ted isnt really a woman, and I have no idea if he/she ever worked at a law firm in Idaho…
There was a point to my starting the rumors about Ted, though
PayPerPost is a cool little service that hooks advertisers up with bloggers. In addition to Google Adsense, getting sponsors or advertisers is a great way to make money with your blog. Selling text links ranks up there on the list as well, of course.
All you have to do is post ads on your blogs, which are not as obtrusive and offensive as it might sound. Most of them are actually pretty cool – and you will likely find ‘ads’ that relate to your niche or topic.
In fact, my crazy post about Ted was a perfect example. Yeah, I got paid to write that, and added totally 100% unique content to my own domain at the same time!
Not a bad deal, huh?
You can sign up yourself – I did. It’s a cool little setup, with some great blogging opps. If you decide to take the plunge, be sure to give them my email address as the referral when you register: lynn@clicknewz.com – they pay 5 bucks for referrals, so we’ll both make some cash!
Okay, I can hear it already… some of you are sitting on your side of the monitor calling me a sell-out. But I’ve been doing this for years. I test something out, and if it’s cool I talk about it. If it’s not cool, sometimes I still talk about it. This definitely seems like a cool deal, so I’m giving it a whirl… and I’ll keep you posted as to how it goes after a bit of time (and money) goes by.
If you want to wait until then to decide for yourself, that’s certainly understandable. But if you want to sign up and check out the paying opps (and make money), here’s the link: http://payperpost.com

P.S. If you love me, dont forget to tell them my email address when you join!

ROFL!
I personally don’t think you’re a sell out as long as you keep it honest, and for as long as I’ve known you, you do

Thank you, Teli
Everybody wants to know how to “make money online”. If I am going to add this to my list of recommendations, I have to test it out for myself!

[...] After recently joining PayPerPost (PPP) myself, I did a little research and found some interesting conversations around the net. As we all know, making money is bad Bad BAD!!!! (Um, what are we all here for again??) So it’s no wonder that some of the leading bloggers bashed PayPerPost when it launched. [...]
Why trackback to yourself??

Wow, neat concept!!! Lynn, I just joined and put your email as my referral Lynn. Now I just have to add all my blogs so they can be approved.
Thanks for mentioning this on your blog!
Welcome aboard, Stefani!
RE: Why trackback to yourself??
It happens automatically, Dan – it’s a Wordpress feature. It keeps all of the readers in the loop about other related conversations that are linking to this post.

[...] As I was surfing through my PayPerPost account, I noticed an opportunity titled PPP Photo Assignment where ‘posties’ were offered $10.50 to show a photo of themselves with ‘PayPerPost.com’ written on their body somewhere. (No iffy photos allowed, of course) [...]
