It's just that thinking of the beginner as I do (my primary audience) I foresee people seeing this and (similar to social networking sites and direct sales/MLM companies) joining the first 1265 programs they see - not being able to work any properly - giving up 2 months later stating "it don't work". I said that in any given month I am promoting 30-60 different affiliate programs. Many of my affiliate sites feature multiple merchants/products. When it comes to SEO, you do need new relevant links from time to time, so I just keep my eyes peeled for those opportunities at all times. But I set aside "maintenance time" each month to evaluate my sites needs and to do the tasks. I also outsource. But for the most part, a well optimized page with a few quality inbound links (a few being relative) will rank well for quite some time. I just make sure it gets a new quality link pointing to it now and then. I didnt say that I had 60 affiliate sites. I said that in any given month I am promoting 30-60 different affiliate programs.
