What a Crazy Idea!

First, let me ask this: Do you have a tattoo?

If you do, tell us about it – and I’d like to hear how long you’ve had it, if you’re still pleased with it or whether you regret it, etc. If you dont – have you ever considered getting a tattoo? If you have… what has held you back?

I’m just curious, because I was just reading The $1000 Opportunity over on the PayPerPost Blog where Ted Murphy was offering a thousand bucks to someone who would get payperpost.com tattooed on their body…

I am considering creating a $1000 opportunity for a couple of people to get “PayPerPost.com” tattooed on their body. I would want someone to video tape the whole experience, from talking about it with friends to getting inked at the studio. The tattoo would have to be at least 4″ wide by .5″ tall in a place that could be shown publicly. What do you guys think? Would I have any takers?

I can just see me with this tattooed on my arm, sporting an “I’m a Sell-Out” tank top created at CafePress – Yeah right! LOL :P (NOT)

Unbelievable, right? I mean… who would do such a thing?! Of the 20 comments they tell him he’s outright crazy. One guy says $1,000 isnt enough. So Ted asks, “OKay, so how much IS enough?”

Someone else asks, “Would I have to wait thirty days after getting the tattoo to be paid for it?”

That’s pretty funny, you have to admit. I’m not sure if Ted was serious about the offer, or just getting peoples reactions to it. I suppose it might be good for publicity on both sides… but considering that publicity is usually temporary – and tattoos are permanent – well, it just seems nuts.

As for me, I’ll skip the tattoo option and just advertise on blogs for cash ;)

That is insane. $1,000 is no where near enough money for someone to get something permanently done to their body. Temporary tattoo, I can understand, but…

As for me, nope, no tats. I think they’re pretty cool, though…on other people. Would I consider getting one, no. It would be neat, but I don’t have the brass ones necessary. :)

  3. LOL! Well, from what I’ve seen on those tatoo tv shows, someone might go for it – then have another tatoo worked over it a little while later?

Yep, I have one. Had it for 13 years. I don’t regret it, but it’s a small one and was VERY painful (a real annoying pain too) to get done.
