This is a great example of things you can do with PLR. I think the thing I like about using PLR most is that you have some ready-made ideas for topics. Sometimes, that’s the biggest problem for me, is coming up with an idea of what to write about. PLR solves that!

Yes, PLR articles are great for rewriting, or at least for research. Yo can simply take basic points from each one and then ‘repurpose’ them as you have put it, and turn this new ‘content’ into a fresh article. All you sometimes need to do to get fresh ideas for writing is to look around.

Hi Lynn,

I like your blog and browse through it often.

I’ve put together an article entitled “PLR – Tips, Tactics and Techniques” in which I’ve featured one of your articles as recommended reading. Its already posted at my blog at http://homebusinessaire.com/blog/2009/10/plr-useful-tips-and-techniques/

If you look at the article you will see that it is a sort of “best of” collection of great PLR blog posts like yours. What I would like to do is get each one of us to post the article at our blogs. That way we all get exposure from each other’s readers.

I’m glad you found it helpful. The “change it and make it your own” advice is spot on, but hopefully this post that shows that in a visual example helps people add depth to that (accurate) advice.

I absolutely loved this whole ‘teaching unit’ you did for us on PLR!! It was great to watch it all unfold, play by play. Teaching it in this fashion is definitely one of those ‘Ideas That Sticks’ that David Perdew was telling us about!

Who you link TO definitely counts, but you can’t control who links to YOU. That said, when trackbacks or pingbacks appear from spammy sites, or sites that are just full of useless duplicate content, I simply delete those as they are outgoing links.

I have found a few times when I write blogs that a link to my blog will be a spammy site copying my content. As stated I am sure this is not going to help my site. I do not want links from these sites for they do not help. I think this could happen a lot and cause problems with Googles new algorithm changes.

Having used PLR stuff before I knew it was valuable but your example made the number of ways to use PLR really come to life. It does take some work but as Gail said, “the step-by-step approach” you gave makes the job much easier to accomplish. Thanks as always.
