Lynn, that's a valid comment. For now, I think I'm generating some love with both tactics, but I completely see where you're going with that.

Lynn:

As always, great stuff here. You did a post not too long ago where you talked about how you're making your blog more "user friendly" for Internet Marketers. In it, you talked about the various plugins you use for this blog. One of the plugins automatically inserted the "follow me on Twitter" tagline to each comment. I'm going to continue to dig through your blog to find it, but can you post the link to it here - or at least let me know what plugin I'm trying to find?

Thanks...and I hope 2010 is going well for you. I've been following you on Twitter. I see you're down in Australia again. Sounds fun!

Thanks bunches for your quick response Lynn! GREATLY appreciated!

I *hate* to sound like a pest here but I did manage to figure out the "related posts" part so far but I think I forgot to mention one crucial detail in my description.

(The crucial detail that will hopefully save me the hours needed to search through all of the related posts plugins available - and let me say - there are a TON of them ...)

The crucial detail being ... that this plugin doesn't simply add a list of related posts to the bottom of your new post but directly in the content.

For example, let's say I was writing a new post about Red Widgets but in this new post I mention the words Blue Widgets. The plugin will automatically find and link the words Blue Widgets to a previous post I made about Blue Widgets.

Does that help lessen the search area?

Sounds like the Related Posts Plugin :)

Not sure if it's called that, but a search on Google for those 3 words should get you what you're looking for!

Hey Lynn -
I'm looking for a plugin that I'm almost positive I had seen before somewhere. Sorry, it's not a comment plugin so this is a bit off topic but I was hoping maybe you or someone else reading along could help.

(That is if you can decifer my probably not-so-great description of this plugin, lol!)

I believe this plugin will automatically link to a previous post when you mention something along the same topic in a new post.

Oh wow - I sure hope someone can understand what I'm trying to say here {blush}.

If I didn't completely make this up in my mind and someone knows what in the world I'm talking about ... I'd greatly appreciate it!

Awesome list Lynn! Thanks so much!

I actually found this particular post by doing a search for "enter your name @ your keywords in the name field" to find what the plugin was after seeing it on your other posts. Ironically I end up here.

From what I've seen here on this end, I really like the Keyword Luv plugin and plan to install it on my blogs.

I'm also like you in that it has to be a pretty darn good comment for me to approve any with only keywords used for the name. Personally they tend to frustrate me simply because there's always this wonder in the back of my mind if it is a legitimate comment or just a sly way to sneak in some keywords. (Spam ... Grr!)

I prefer KeywordLuv over CommentLuv. It gives the reader much more control over the link and anchor text. CommentLuv is just kind of random, pulling the last post with no control to make it something relevant to the post you're commenting on - know what I mean? If it were me, I would swap them out instead of running them both ;)

I LOVE the way keyword luv looks. I have already made my personal blog do-follow and added comment luv, but the keyword luv needs to go up next.

Thanks!

I use quite a few of these plugins. I especially like Keywordluv, commentluv and Top Commenter. You're right in that there is some risk of spamming with respect to these plugins, but my blogs aren't overly popular in terms of comments, so it's still reasonable for me to screen all of the comments before they appear.

Thanks for the list.

I don't like the idea... ;)

As you can tell, I use a double opt-in option here at ClickNewz via Aweber which is my preference & recommendation.

Lynn, what do you think about the ethics of Action Comments? I'm not sure I'm OK with being added to someone's mailing list just because I commented on their site. Isn't a double opt-in better for building trust?
