Choosing the Best Digital Camera
There is a brand new free report by Ingrid Owens of CameraShy that helps you choose the best digital camera to suit your specific needs:
Choosing The Best Digital Camera For You
Ingrid shows you the differences between various camera types, which modes are most useful, what features you really need… and where the best deals are.
You still have time to shop Amazon.com and receive gift items before the holidays. Free Super Saver Shipping will still get in there in time if you order by December 17th. Enjoy the report, and be sure to pass it along to any friends that are shopping for a digital camera!
Best,

Thanks Lynn! Glad you liked the report
Loved it! And thank you for this – I am desperately needing a new camera for 2010 as I plan to take a lot more pictures to use here on my blog

Hmmm… maybe next report should be “Photography for Bloggers” then. I’ll get going on it right away!
That would be AWESOME

I’m so behind! I just downloaded it and probably won’t get to read it until we return from vacation but I really need help figuring out how to use all the fun stuff on my current camera.
Oh yea and a Photography for Bloggers report would be awesome!

Thanks, that’s what I need – a basic intro. to everything-I-need-to-know about the differences between digital cameras. They are so cheap these days, perhaps I should get one.
I need a new one myself, Mia. I would like to start taking more of my own pictures to use here on my blog. I often use my mobile which has a 5 MP camera for fun twitpics, and of course I have my mini HD video camera… but would really love something small that will take nice, focused shots.

Download works, but Zip file is corrupted.
Winzip reports:
“Cannot open file: it does not appear to be a valid archive”
It worked fine for me. A lot of people are reporting download issues around the web the last few months – due to an update or something. You might try just using Windows right-click option to extract the files instead and see if that works.

Just sent you a mail …
I would LOVE, LOVE, LOVE to see a report on still/video cameras. I need to get a new one but would like to be able to take video good enough for YouTube without spending a fortune.
Great job on the report!

You’ll want something handheld and HD. I use the Isonic, but the RCA Small Wonder (HD version) is good too. You can see my reviews on it, and video examples here:

I don’t recommend the Flip because the LCD screen doesn’t face you, so it’s very hard to frame a self-video. Definitely look at the models with a flip out screen so you can easily frame yourself and your background for self-video if that’s what you plan to do.
