New Year Blog Advertising Special for 2010

I have two different types of advertising options to offer you for the New Year, the first of which is very limited. If that one is not a good fit for you, keep reading to check out the second option...

I run very little advertising here at ClickNewz, and I plan to keep it limited.

This first option is only open to two sponsors and will offer site-wide exposure and a permanent inbound link. Your ad and offer must be targeted to my readership, and it must add value for my readers.

I have a very active readership with every post being featured via RSS feed, email update, Twitter and Facebook. There are currently over 18,000 comments with individual posts averaging 30-50 comments.

The inbound link and exposure to my readership is worth far more than the price, but I am looking to partner with very specific merchants or site owners that will add value to my blog as a win/win relationship. As I mentioned only two advertisers will be selected, with ads to go live by 12:01am on January 1st, 2010...

The sitewide sponsorship will include a generous ad in the sidebar, to be displayed across the ClickNewz domain (on all pages and posts). The two ads that are currently in my sidebar, AffiliateTheme and HostGator, get clicks and earn substantial commissions every single month. My current total earnings from HostGator alone are $36,500.00. The AffiliateTheme ad is newer, placed maybe 6 months ago, but has seen 4,412 click through's and a total of $3,429.20 in sales.

ClickNewz Stats

ClickNewz currently sees almost 30k unique visitors and more than 230k page views per month. I came very close to doubling blog traffic in 2009 with very little additional marketing. All of the traffic is organic, and highly targeted.

(screenshot taken December 27th, 2009)

My goal is to increase unique visitors to 100k/month, with a million pageviews per month by the end of 2010. This is a great opportunity to get in on this growth in reach at an incredible deal!

ClickNewz is currently a PageRank 4.
Alexa Ranking is currently: 5,354 (US), 15,853 (worldwide).

Site-Wide Advertising Rates

Payments will be accepted via PayPal only.

A sitewide sponsorship is only $500 per month. Or you can save 40% by securing a sponsorship for the entire year 2010 for only $3600.

$250 Bonus Each sitewide sponsorship also includes a blog post about your company/product/service with a permanent inbound link (see below). Posts are promoted on Twitter, Facebook and to my Mailing List. ClickNewz is heavily indexed, and posts enjoy quick rankings in the major search engines.

NOTE: These rates are only good between now and midnight December 31st.

This is a great way to get a tax deductible expense in before this last quarter of '09 ends, and secure an investment that will continue to repay you all year long!

Advertising Specs & Request Submission

Ad Images will need to be 300 pixels wide minimum, with a maximum of 250 pixels high. Please send a link to your graphic, the destination URL, and your preferred Alt Text for the image with your advertising request.

Please use the contact form to submit your request for consideration.

Hint: a special offer to ClickNewz Readers will convert at a higher rate 😉

Use the contact form to submit your request as soon as possible - these two spots will go quick! I plan to select two advertisers and have the ads live by 12:01am on January 1st, 2010. If your ad is selected, I will reply with payment instructions.

Option #2: 500 Word Blog Post

I will write a quality blog post reviewing/discussing your product, book or website for $250. This includes a keyword-optimized post, minimum 500 words, targeted exposure to my active readership, and a permanent inbound link with the anchor text of your choice.

Not all requests will be accepted. Again it must be relevant and of interest to my readership. I reserve the right to accept or deny post sponsorships at my discretion.

Please use the contact form to submit your request for consideration.

Include your URL, preferred anchor text, and the angle/topic you would like covered. Please include as much detail as possible. If your submission is selected, I will send a reply with payment instructions.

I look forward to working with you!

Best,

p.s. I realize this special offer is not for everyone, but feel free to pass it on or share it with your groups as it's an incredible deal for select people - and they'll appreciate you for the heads-up! 😉

Discussion

  1. Lynn,

I'm 99% sure I'm in. Ironically I have about $3,500 in PayPal right now so I'll have to do some quick promotion to get the other $100.

    3 questions:

    1. I'm pretty sure Burn Your To Do List would be an excellent match for your site, but could you please let me know YOUR thoughts?

    2. Would we be able to split test advertisements?

    3. Would you like to have a service or two done complimentary before agreeing to advertise my site? I want you to feel good about having it there.

    Thank you!

    With love,
    Rachel

    • Hi Rachel,

I think it would be an excellent match! Since I am only going to take on two sponsors, I would be happy to swap out ads through the year and/or do split testing, and work with you any way I can. I'm definitely looking for a mutually beneficial relationship with my 2010 sponsors.

I will take you up on #3 for the bonus blog post w/permanent inbound link. Very generous - thank you!

Go ahead and use the contact form to send me all the details so that I can put you in queue and reserve the spot for you. 😉

  2. Wow! Even though I don't qualify to be an advertiser, there is soooo much to be learned from this post. Thanks for being so transparent!

  3. Again an amazing post and really although many of us could not take you up on this great opportunity, there is so much to learn from this post.

    Thank you.

  4. Lynn,

I would love to talk to you about doing some posts about our site over the coming year. What is the best way to get in touch and talk more about this?

  5. I have been trying to use your contact form, but it keeps telling me I have invalid input and I don't see what the problem is.

    I hope this reaches you:

I would like you to consider my company for one of your blog spots. My company is http://www.custsolutions.net and I am currently writing a set of DIY guides that show how a non-programmer can build their own killer web site using templates and the software I recommend.

It will cost them only a fraction of the amount (around $250) than what they would pay if they bought all the software TemplateMonster.com tells me is required or hired someone to do it. And, the guides are straight to the point and less than a hundred pages. I can send you a copy of the non-edited guide (which is not yet complete). It should be available in 2 weeks and right now people can sign up on the site to be notified when it is available.

    Best Wishes,
    Sara Morgan

    • This sounds like a great match, Sara!

Since the form is not working for you, you can email me the details directly: Lynn -AT- ClickNewz.com (replace -AT- with @ of course). I will keep an eye out for your email. I look forward to working with you 😉

  6. Hi Lynn

I've been following you for some time now via 30DC and IMTW. I really like your approach as it is so measurement driven. But what blows me away is how transparent you are as a leader. Your posts just come right out and say what you're trying to achieve and then give the data to support your claims. Wow! That's really refreshing!

I'm not yet in a position to be a sponsor - but I would be interested in the concept of you doing a blog post. I'll contact you with the details.

In the meantime, thanks again. I really appreciate your hard work.

    • Thank you Andy 😀

I decided to put this post right here on my blog for that very reason, versus listing it with an ad broker or in an ad network. I am using a unique approach to taking on sponsors for the year, and I think it will prove an excellent example to follow in the long run...

I look forward to getting your email!
