A contextual link is best, if the blog owner doesn’t mind. Otherwise a bio link is just fine. The fact that the link is in the content area of the site vs the static areas (footer, sidebar, etc) is a big plus!

I’ve been thinking of guest blogging for a while now. Think now’s the time to take the plunge – thanks to your cheerleader-like attitude . One question: is it better to have a keyword-rich link within the actual content of the article or in the bio. portion of the article (many bloggers allow a brief bio. of the author either at the beginning or end of the post)? Or does it not matter?

BTW: Yesterday I read your post on how to write product reviews. I noticed you practiced exactly what you preached in that article within this article. Nice job.

HI Terry! You have my total attention…newbie here but not computer illiterate. Two questions, I know people do not all write their own eBooks so I for instance have a couple of eBooks I want to give out that I found great for me but how do I get them back in the form of an eBook with the picture icon like when I first downloaded it for my own use. Right now it just opens up as the book itself. Second,I didn’t quite understand what you were saying in the above post about “Guest Blogging”. The part of the post that starts right after the paragraph that ends with ” I could go on and on”. I don’t know what you mean about anchor text and linking back etc. It just confused me. If you could direct me to a place here that explains this a little simpler I would be indebted. Thanks Deb
