Your Chance to Win a Lenovo ThinkCentre!

This is your chance to win a Lenovo ThinkCentre M90z 23’’ HD-ready Touch Screen all-in-one desktop computer! πŸ˜€

Lenovo is currently doing a blog outreach program, and they are allowing each blogger involved to give away one of these super cool systems.

One of the features I didn't share in the video (oops!) is that there is an on-screen touch keyboard.

It stays over to the left at the very edge of the screen, and you simply tap it to bring it open. It also works with a stylus pen.

This system would be super cool with a swing arm mounted by a chaise lounge or big comfy chair & ottoman.

That way you could swing it out of the way, or in front of you at a comfortable level and tilt to work on it like a giant iPad. πŸ˜€

All you have to do is a leave a comment below between now and May 2nd, 2011 (10pm Eastern) - specifically with your thoughts on the ThinkCentre M90z - and you're entered to win!

At 10pm Eastern on May 2nd I will do a random drawing from all of the comments about the ThinkCentre M90z on this post, between now and then. One entry per person, multiple comments do not equal multiple entries. YouTube and Facebook comments do not count - you must comment here on this post (below).

Be sure to use the correct email address and Twitter ID when leaving a comment below. I will contact you via Twitter if you win the drawing, and email you to get your shipping address for the prize.

Once the drawing is over and a winner is selected, the shipping details will be sent to Lenovo. They will ship your prize to you directly.

Good luck!! πŸ˜‰

Best,

  1. Tom Brownsword says

    Hi Lynn,

I have a Lenovo laptop with a touch screen and absolutely love it. I use it from the time I get up in the morning to the time I turn it off at night (after streaming a movie!).

When I saw this system, it got my attention. It's time to replace my wife's system (which she keeps in her office off the kitchen) and this one piece system would be great for her office. With kids, dogs, friends, and lots of others running through her office, having a system without cables would be a great asset.

Of course, if I win, I'll put this system in MY office and give her my current one... πŸ™‚

    Best regards,
    Tom

P.S. -- I'll have to take a look at the M90Z even if you make a mistake and choose somebody else as the winner.

  2. The features are phenomenal. I love anything that saves space and helps get rid of all of those nasty cords. And to get rid of this big boxy tower is even better.

  3. It reminds me a lot of the setup of an iMac with the all-in-one aspect and the controls. I love the monitor size (one of the reasons I fell in love with the iMac) and the ease of use features. I am NOT loving my Mac now that I have it (don't stone me folks - it's just not working for me and what I do) and would LOVE to give the ThinkCentre M90z a spin!

  4. Jim Belden says

Other than the touch screen capabilities it seems kinda like an iMac copy. All in one case, DVD on the right, USB connections on the back bottom and the camera on the front top just like the iMac. I guess it depends on the use, but for most work it seems like the touch screen might actually hurt productivity. I can see it being very useful for kind of a information center, but for a home office I'm not sure I see much benefit. Beyond the basic testing have you used the touch screen that much?

  5. Tanya Watson says

Wow! This looks really dreamy! I would love to see how it works with Camtasia videos... does it lock up?

  6. Val Brennan says

Looks pretty slick. I'm sure it would look great on my desk! I think I'll clear a space for it right now! Nice that it comes with an i5 processor too. I would love to do some mind mapping on it.

  7. Wow! That is pretty cool! It's like we are the Jetsons lol I like that it doesn't come with a tower, saves a lot of space and headaches when moving too. How much does it weigh?

  8. It's cool. It's techy. What's not to love? I'm guessing that eventually more and more PCs will go in this direction. So I wouldn't mind digging into this one and getting familiar with it. I'll bet that some tasks in Photoshop would be easier because of the touch-screen option.

  9. Denise O'Berry says

Lynn -- What a cool gadget! I have not yet had a chance to look closely at the touch screen PCs, but this one looks pretty slick. I have gotten so used to the touch screen from using my android phone and ipad, that I tried to control my "regular" PC via touch the other day! Gave myself a good laugh on that one! πŸ™‚

Your demo was helpful and gave a brief glimpse into how easy the M90z would be to use. The on screen keyboard sounds pretty cool. Appreciate the opportunity to participate and take a look at your new "goody."

  10. That looks great! To have everything right there with now bulky tower to store is a great feature. I'm not too sure about the whole touch screen thing... fingerprints drive me batty. My kids are great (the older teens) at pointing to stuff on my laptop screen and leaving tons of prints everywhere! Even if I didn't use that feature the space saving feature alone would be worth it!

  11. Tracy Robinson says

The ThinkCentre M90z looked really cool, I could see the kids using it quite a bit so that we could retire one of our over 5 year old desktops.

  12. Mary Gallagher says

What a phenomenal spacesaver! Thanks for the demo, Lynn. I've been reluctant to add or upgrade to a new computer on our network since I love my Windows XP, but the ThinkCentre M90Z might very well be the way to go! I could ease into that Touch Screen pretty quickly, with the mouse and keyboard attached too. Nice.

  13. Even though I own a series of laptops, a desktop is great for those who are online a lot - like me. lol. Especially if it's a modern (energy and space saving model) like the Lenovo Think Centre.

    What a nice giveaway. Thx!

    Cheers,
    Missy

p.s. Good luck to all who enter.

  14. Cheri Herriott says

This would make a great graduation gift for college and my kids and I as well would love to watch movies and videos as well .

  15. Helen O'Connor says

This is a wonderful machine and would be great in a classroom where students cold benefit from the wonderful touch screen interactivity. It would increase student engagement.

  16. Kelly Hoagland says

It looks absolutely amazing and easy to use. I am in dire need of a new system anyway and this would be perfect for me. I am online 24/7 and the Lenovo would be very handy to me since my current desktop is a major dinosaur! What an exciting contest!

    Crossing my fingers!
    Kelly

  17. Christine Morris says

Lynn, Thanks for the Facebook info on Dell and for this preview of the ThinkCentre! Your information is timely as I am in need of a new desktop and had not been introduced to Dell or any touch screen all-in-ones. I will definitely be exploring further!

  18. Willie Crawford says

Really nice computer Lynn and a great idea. I'll
help to spread the word about the contest. I could
use a sixth computer around my house πŸ™‚

    Willie

  19. I must admit...I was a bit skeptical until you started doing the demo. But I think the touchscreen would save me a ton of time. In fact, I liked pretty much everything you said about it. As more and more things are moving to the cloud, this seems like it would be a very nice primary computer.

  20. Nice. Quite the step up from my 5 year old desktop computer. I especially like the monitor size.

  21. cool computer and since I literally use a lazy boy as my home office the swing arm with the touch screen would be absolutely perfect. Even cooler that you get to give one away πŸ™‚

  22. This is a really cool looking system. I have been leary of having a system with touch screen. I have small kids and I can just see all the smudges, but this system does not look so fragile. I would love to have a system like this. It would work well with my business and it would work for my husband as well who does photography and graphic arts. I can see some pretty cool potential for that right there alone.

Thanks for the cool contest. Looking forward to following this thread to see who wins. Good luck to us all. =D

  23. Terry P Mielcarek says

    Hello Mrs.Terry-
Very nice piece of technology, like the touch screen option along with the large screen. Hope the winner has a great time with it.

  24. Paula Eldridge says

The features on this tablet sound awesome. I can see how it would be very beneficial for anyone, but particularly would like to use those many of those functions with my students.

  25. Mike Norris says

I like the idea of a touch screen. Looks cool and if it's a space saver I can really use it. Like that nice big screen for my bad eyes.

  26. I think the Lenovo M90z is a powerful and capable pc that is ergonomically designed for a comfortable computing experience.

It would breeze through all my everyday tasks such as writing reviews, handling spreadsheets, heavy web browsing, watching videos, downloading large photos as well as some development programming work and editing photos.

    Thanks for the opportunity.

  27. Tony Thomas says

I think that the ThinkCentre is pretty innovative system and I'm definitely in need of a new computer. Mine is a dozen years old and, as I do video production for a living, the timing is spot-on!

    Thanks, Lynn, for doing this!

  28. Regina Baker says

SuperFAB! I love new gadgets. It does remind me of an iPad tho, LOL! This would be great for presentations, I think? I do have other questions about it, so I think I'll check it out. Thanks for the contest, FUN!

  29. Erica Cosminsky says

After briefly playing with this one today, I definitely have gadget envy.

  30. Mellisa Jonas says

This would be perfect for doing my radio show! I could sit in my comfy chair, lounge and relax while I design, outline, research, and deliever my shows.

Plus, Lynn, I have eyesight problem. This would solve that! I could make things larger. This makes My little netbook look like a children's plaything! I need one of these!

  31. Cindy Bidar says

Nice looking system. Like you, I'm not sure I would really like a touch-screen (the fingerprints alone might drive me to distraction) but I would love to give it a try with Photoshop. Does the entire screen respond well to a stylus? Or just the keyboard?

  32. Paul Short says

I'm long overdue for a new computer and have been looking at desktops that don't take up too much space, so this is something I'd definitely be interested in. If the contest is available to Canadians too, then I'll toss my name in the hat. If not, I'll be considering a system like this now. Plus, Lenovo is a top brand (used to be IBM) which is always something to take into consideration.

  33. Bruce Serven says

    Hi Lynn,

What a cool looking system. It does seem to be like a giant iPad. The touch screen part of it seems handy - what did you think of using touch compared to using a mouse?

Your idea of putting it on a big arm is interesting also - does it work Ok laying down (as you would probably use an iPad) as it does sitting up?

In any event, It'd be a nice device to utilize to get away from the laptops.

    My twitter id is: @BruceServen

    Thanks for the opportunity,
    Bruce

  34. Great idea. What a creative way to get lots of conversation going. You are a true master Lynn. Way to go.

  35. Terry Britton says

Anything Lenovo is going to be sweet. I hope it is lighter than my 17" G4 iBook was (and cooler!)

This looks like their "monster" cool offering, alright. I think I would love to win it, for sure!

  36. Judith Davis says

This looks like a great setup. We are looking to upgrade and will keep this in mind, but would be great to win it!

  37. Like a giant iPad! No tower, easy-to-use touchscreen, Windows 7. I think I'm in love.

  38. I like the fact that it has THINK in the name. That's a really good idea!!!

  39. How cool is that?! I love that it's all-in-one. What a space saver. No more clunky CPUs to figure out what to do with. Can you also use a mouse with it in addition to the touch screen?

  40. Looks like an awesome PC, or should I say Think Centre? It's great to see a technology company think out of the box and introduce creative features and a new way of doing familiar tasks.

  41. I really love the touch screen keypad feature! It looks amazing. As a business owner a new computer is always welcome!

  42. Robert Kramkowski says

I took a look at the specs on Lenovo's site. This system would be phenomenal for web development. Using Photoshop coupled with a Wacom tablet would be an outstanding combination.

  43. Like I need another tech gadget...oh who am I kidding YES I do. This always looked cool but I worry about the finger prints. Keeping it clean seems like it would be an issue but other than that it looks awesome. Definitely a great space saver. No tower? That is cool!

  44. What a coincidence! During lunch, I said to myself that it was time to grab some sort of "on the road" computer πŸ™‚ I was looking at the Blackberry Playbook and comparing it to the iPpad 2.. but definitely...for the home office, the Lenovo ThinkCentre M90z 23’’ HD-ready Touch Screen all-in-one desktop computer is exactly what I need!;-) Thanks Lynn!

  45. Charles Moore says

Nice computer Lynn. Once you get used to it the touch screen will probably be a big time saver.

Good contest, thanks for the chance.

    Charles

  46. David Raffenberg says

The Lenovo system is stunning. I love the touch screen aspect. Interestingly, I saw my first touch screen computer in action around 20 years ago in the great state of Tennessee (Oak Ridge).

  47. Sally Cevasco says

Wow Lynn, it looks really awesome! I'm always excited to try out new technology and this one looks like a winner!

    Thanks for the review.

    Cheers!
    Sally

  48. Although Mac was doing it from the beginning (space saving) it is way cool to have a touch screen. It should become a standard from now on. Cheers!

  49. Wow Lynn! This is awesome. I am so behind times I just advanced to a touch screen phone a few months ago. Our Dell desktop is turning 8 next month, this would be a very nice replacement;)

  50. Mark Sierra says

Actually, having a touch screen computer would be pretty cool. I recall the times that it would have been so much easier if I could just point to something on the screen without the mouse especially when it runs out of a charge. And the size of the screen is amazing!
