Raising a Teenager
This is a little off topic, but hey – it’s my BLOG so I thought I’d post it for those that might get a kick out of it
. It’s a short little video clip taken at the local body piercing shop.
I’m of the notion that you really should ‘choose your battles’ when raising a teenager. Say no to the serious things, but give them a little room to be an individual…
Now before anyone goes posting any hooplah about letting a teenager get a piercing, let me state my case: after two months of being up in the air on the idea, I finally let Zack get this done on his birthday. He turned 15, is a great kid… and rarely ever asks for anything. So I thought “why not!” It’s not a permanent tattoo or anything ultra-weird… just a small fashion statement, I guess.
I think the funniest thing about that video is the background conversation about “corn fritters”
. Here’s a shot of Zack after the deed, with his eyebrow pierced:

A little off color, but it didnt kill him

A LITTLE off colour?
Ouch…. well my boys had their ear done younger than that.. they both let it grow out now…
Zack looks good with it.. suits him….
Take care,
Rob

Oh you’re one cool momma Lynn – I couldn’t do it! (Well, he hasn’t asked – so I haven’t had the challenge.) LOL!
