I'm glad you mentioned Julie Morgenstern's books. I've been a big fan of her approach to getting organized for a few years now. I've implemented her "zone" method of organizing closets and rooms and it works pretty well if you have the space to do it. Once you remove that perfectionism from the mix, it's easy to get started, because the secret is, it doesn't matter where you start or how long it takes or how long you have to go...what matters is that you just pick up one thing and make a decision.
