Good Deals, Free Shipping & Coupon Codes

This time of year I do quite a bit of shopping online. Holiday gifts and products of course, but this is usually when I upgrade computer equipment or make purchases for the new year as well. At the moment I am in the market for two new flatpanel computer monitors, to top off my home office make-over with a dual monitor setup.

I thought I’d share my deal-hunting strategy with you, as I know many of you do a fair amount of shopping online this time of year as well .

My first stop is generally the company website. This way I can figure out exactly what I want, compare specs and prices and jot down model numbers if I need them. From there I search Froogle and eBay for special offers, and then hunt down coupon codes. You can usually find GREAT codes that will let you save 10-50% off at checkout.

I checked out the coupon codes for Dell, Staples (found 19″ flatpanels there with $30 mail-in rebates), and a few more.

You can get two refurbished 17″ flatpanels from the Dell Outlet for around $300 total (free shipping). But if you include the mail-in rebate, you can get two brand new 19″ flatpanels from Staples for around $220…

This includes two $30 rebates, and a coupon code for 30% off orders over $150… plus free shipping. That’s sounding like a pretty sweet deal

Edit: That coupon code didnt work unfortunately, so I’m still shopping…
