Does your blog ever look neglected? Do you stress over knowing you need to publish a fresh new blog post for your readers, but you're just smack out of content ideas? I know how you feel.
Sometimes the content just flows freely, other times it feels like I'm in an idea drought and just stare at the screen drawing a complete blank. 😯 LOL.
When that dreaded writer's block hits, you have to get a little more creative than usual! Fortunately there are plenty of sources and resources to jump start your writing momentum again...
There are a lot of cool ways to generate fast, easy content ideas. In fact, you should make sure you're signed up for my Easy Unique Content notification list. 😉 But in the meantime, here are five easy ways to come up with your next article or blog post:
1. Ask Your Market, Or See What They're Asking.
If you have a list or a social media following, simply ask them what they are struggling with most - as it relates to your niche. You can even ask them AS a blog post. example You can also take a question left as a blog comment on one of your posts, and answer that in a new blog post. example Or if you get questions by email, you can do the same. example
If your blog is newer, or you don't yet have a strong following, look at niche forums to see what people are asking or discussing. The threads with the most views or the most replies will be the best for brainstorming blog topic ideas!
2. Come Up With Creative Angles For Hot Topics & News Stories.
What's going on in the world right now? Or what's going on specifically in your niche? Look for creative angles to tie news or hot topics into to your next post. You could even use a great movie as inspiration for a blog post! example
3. Interview Someone Interesting.
Text interviews are super easy, as all you have to do is email a set of questions to someone, then format the questions and answers into a blog post. examples
4. Let Someone Else Write Your Blog Post.
There are tons of bloggers in every niche, so you shouldn't have any problem finding someone to write a guest blog post for you when you don't feel like writing yourself. It's a great way to bring a fresh topic from a new angle to your readers, and gives the guest blogger great exposure and a backlink. example
5. Use Keyword Research To Find Interesting Sub-Topics.
When you're at a complete loss for a topic, keyword research can really spark some fresh ideas! I like to drill down from a basic word in my niche and look for interesting questions or sub-topics. tutorial
