1. Ask Your Market, Or See What They're Asking.

If you have a list or a social media following, simply ask them what they are struggling with most - as it relates to your niche. You can even ask them AS a blog post. example You can also take a question left as a blog comment on one of your posts, and answer that in a new blog post. example Or if you get questions by email, you can do the same. example

If your blog is newer, or you don't yet have a strong following, look at niche forums to see what people are asking or discussing. The threads with the most views or the most replies will be the best for brainstorming blog topic ideas!

2. Come Up With Creative Angles For Hot Topics & News Stories.

What's going on in the world right now? Or what's going on specifically in your niche? Look for creative angles to tie news or hot topics into to your next post. You could even use a great movie as inspiration for a blog post! example

3. Interview Someone Interesting.

Text interviews are super easy, as all you have to do is email a set of questions to someone, then format the questions and answers into a blog post. examples

4. Let Someone Else Write Your Blog Post.

There are tons of bloggers in every niche, so you shouldn't have any problem finding someone to write a guest blog post for you when you don't feel like writing yourself. It's a great way to bring a fresh topic from a new angle to your readers, and gives the guest blogger great exposure and a backlink. example

Discussion

  1. I like the idea of writing something that would connect with the audience and is a hot topic for that particular period amongst this traffic. The most popular topics are discussed most often and are taken interest in. People come up often with their own opinions and thoughts if the post relates to them personally.

All excellent ideas. I think my favorite idea from above is interviews. They're almost always interesting to read and as a bonus, you get to interact/connect with someone who has the same interests as you.

Peggy Baron's Easy Article Starters are da-bomb. Such a cool concept to get articles and blog posts started. It gets the creative juices going.

  5. I like that you included PLR in here. I know a lot of people look down their noses at PLR, but when it is used correctly it can be a big help. You obviously use it as a base and build on it. You give it your own voice. You use your style.Sometimes I find it is useful just as a way to generate ideas. You will probably like the article I wrote that is linked in by CommentLuv 8

  6. We writers write articles for our readers, so it is only fair that they have a say about the topic we choose to write about. Asking you readers about the topic they want to read about is a great way to ensure that they like and appreciate our work. You can also take help of Google to find the keywords to help you with selecting a topic to write about.
