Performancing Acquired by PayPerPost

Nick Wilson hands Performancing.com over to Ted Murphy – am I reading this right? Apparently so. PayPerPost is set to acquire parts of Performancing LLC by the end of January 2007…

For the record, this acquisition does not include Performancing Partners, but does include Performancing Metrics and Performancing Exchange. If you’re not familiar with these two services, this is the brief description that was given on the official notice at the PayPerPost blog:

Performancing Metrics, one of the assets purchased by PayPerPost, is a free service tailored for bloggers to track visitor stats, including AdSense auditing, for their blogs. The platform, now in beta, reports blog visitors, blog comments, ad clickthroughs and much more.

Performancing Exchange is a free online marketplace for companies, blog sites and others wishing to employ professional bloggers. The classifieds have brought a number of bloggers and employers together for both short-term and long-term relationships.

Both of these services, along with the wealth of information offered at Performancing.com, are quite popular among bloggers. I imagine this will be a HUGE step forward for PayPerPost in the blogging community.

I frequent the Performancing site quite often myself, though I havent tried the Metrics tool personally. Since I host my blog with HostGator I have access to full stats packages in my cPanel. From what I have heard though, many users are hoping that this acquisition will mean better stats from Performancing Metrics – and improvements on accuracy across the board.

If you use either of these Performancing services for your own blogs, I would love to hear your thoughts and opinions on them… and what you would like to see come out of this in the way of additions or improvements.
