A Forum Junkie…

James Brausch has a nice mention of me, or more specifically about my blog here at ClickNewz: New Blog Alert: ClickNewz, at JamesBrausch.com. Perhaps in response to my recent mention of him in the post titled Turning Off Comments, but either way very much appreciated ;)

Thank you, James!

I cant comment there, for obvious reasons, so I thought I would post my response here… and you are welcome to leave your comments here as well (using the Leave a Reply option below this post).

Interesting though, was that he (indirectly) called me a Forum Junkie:

She does use a bunch of forum junkie terminology (ie: “internet marketing” and “SEO”), but somehow I have always sensed that she thinks on her own and that shows through on her blog. I suspect she actually picked up the terminology in the blogosphere from other forum junkies and that she isn’t actually one herself. I could be wrong.

Actually James… I am

I got my start just over 10 years ago, prior to the flood of discussion forums, on an email discussion list through WAHM.com (work-at-home-mom-dot-com). Once it turned into a web based discussion forum (WAHM Forum), I was a regular there of course.

I now manage my own popular discussion forum on the topic – the SSWT Forum – where I help others with Online Business and Internet Marketing (to the tune of 8849 posts and counting).

In addition, I might be found at any number of discussion forums around the web these days, including:

  • The Warrior Forum
  • Webmaster World
  • Digital Point
  • V7N Forums
  • Associate Programs
  • ABestWeb
  • Total Life Success
  • eWealth Affiliate Forums

… among others ;)

Hmmm…what do the terms “internet marketing” and “SEO” have to do with forums? Perhaps if you’re above being a forum junkie, you use a term like “internet business” and “optimized for search engines” instead? :-)
