Online Invoicing & Payments

If you freelance, or have a small online business, there is a new web application that you can use for invoicing and payment processing. The program is called SimplifyThis and is currently FREE as a trial.

This would be great for service-based professionals, for example, that dont want to purchase or learn complex accounting software programs. SimplifyThis is web-based, easy to use and customizable.

You can send invoices by email, allowing your clients or customers to choose their payment method and make their payment online instantly.

The ‘dashboard’ gives you an overview of your business at a glance, and since it is web-based you can view it from anywhere that you get online:

For those that dont want to invest the time and money into professional accounting software, and the learning curve involved with using those programs, this looks like a very simple solution that will still give your business a professional appearance to clients and customers. You can put your Logo on the payment page, as well as on your individual invoices – a very nice customization feature.

It is currently being offered as a Free Trial while they gather feedback and continue to add features to the application. You will be able to accept payments using PayPal or Authorize.net, which are the two most popular payment processing services online.

Once the beta trial is over, you will have options to upgrade or to have all of your data sent to you in electronic format. More information can be found on that in their Overview section.
