Designing Your Own Book Cover – Easily!

I was just checking out Book Cover Genius, which is a professional book cover template + detailed tutorials for easily creating both print and Kindle book cover designs.

It was just released TODAY, and it's less than $10. Yes, seriously.

Let me just say, I don't have a designer's bone in my body. I created the book cover you see to the left in about 20 minutes (which included at least ten minutes of me just staring blankly at the screen, lol).

Really, I was just playing around with the book cover templates in the Platinum version to see how they worked. My example here doesn't do the high-quality professional templates any justice at all...

You can check out some real work here.

There's also an upgrade option where you'll get thousands of royalty-free images to use on your book cover designs, as well as 20 professionally created book cover templates you can simply edit in Photoshop or Gimp (w/step-by-step tutorials).

You'll also get access to easy book cover creation software in the Platinum version, which was very simple to use. It pulls in public domain images from a variety of sources you can use on your covers, even.

The price is currently only $9.90, which I haven't quite figured out yet considering how much a single book cover design is worth - not to mention the hours and hours of training included in the package. It truly is a steal.

If you're publishing books, or plan to, or want to get into book cover design even, check out Book Cover Genius today - because this is the best deal I've ever seen! πŸ˜‰

And yes, the template and tutorials can easily be used for print books, ebooks, Kindle books - you name it.

Best,

p.s. The (terrible) cover design example above is for my Domain Name Guide. You can click that link to see an even worse example (lol). Here's the kind of quality you can expect at Book Cover Genius, though:

  1. Hi Lynn - I have to agree that this is a terrific offer. I have bought it myself, more out of curiosity than anything else, given the price. However, I cannot find the 20 Templates/software nor the royalty free images as I think these are in the Platinum upgrade for $67. That or I'm being somewhat blind. Irrespective of that this is an excellent buy.

    • You're right - I do have the upgrade. My apologies. Will edit the post now (eek!). You do get a template with PSD files to use though, with all the tutorials for creating professional book covers for the $9.90 (while the sale lasts). Thanks for pointing that out. πŸ˜‰

  2. Hi Lynn,

I thought you should know that it is a bait and switch. I clicked "Buy", and.....You DON"T get all they, or you above say you get for $10. The $10 is just for membership, then you have to upgrade for $67 for all the stuff mentioned as bait, like templates, software, GIMP , etc. that was mentioned. I feel mislead, to be honest. Did you actually go through the buy process for $10? Please look into it, and get back with me. Thanks.

    • Hi Blair,

I did. I have the Platinum version which I mentioned above. But for less than $10 you do get everything listed on the sales page including a professional custom book cover template and all the training mentioned. Tony actually comes from an extensive offline publishing/design background so it's high quality information from years of experience - not just hooplah.

It is a lead generator of course, for the 20 templates and other great options - but even those at $67 are a steal compared to the time or cost of creating professional quality covers.

Also, they have a full guarantee in place, so if you're not happy with the template & training for $9.90 they'll issue you a refund. They're good guys, so you're in good hands! πŸ˜‰

  4. useful information is given here about book covers i am planning to publish own it ll help me thanks for sharing

  5. Love it! We have gone around and around about writing books, the cost of covers and so forth. This is a steal of a deal if you ask me. If you look around you would pay so much more for what they are offering! Thanks for all the info and the great product. As I mentioned, we have looked into other options and this seems the best by for for us.

  6. I personally prefer more professional solution, using reliable high-end graphic design software or just outsource work to 3rd party professional.

  7. Wow! This is a great deal. I always thought of designing a cover for my own kindle book but failed after certain trials. Now that youb have shared this information here on your blog, I am going to use it effeciently. Thanks a lot.

  8. Terrible, useless product I'm afraid. Bought it today for $27 and go ONE template, the most boring and simple one, with the worst video 'training' I've ever seen, and an utterly useless 'manual' that is just a condensed transcript 0f the incomplete training video... less than useless... a total waste of what would otherwise have been a productive and profitable day of my worktime.

Requested a refund. Maybe the $100 upgrade (bringing it to a $130 investment) provides better quality training videos or something, because what I got was useless, and I'm not a total graphics newbie.
