In this business, it pays to have an Inner Circle. I’m talking about a group of peers that you can brainstorm with, contact directly and joint venture with. These are the people that keep you “in the know” or put you in touch with great contacts from their Inner Circle. I always say:
“I dont have to know everybody…
I just have to know people who do.”
Inner Circle is the appropriate term, or you might call them your Target 25 if you are a Mark LeBlanc fan, but I call them my go-to guys. And for the obvious reason: I go to them for just about every major business decision or business idea. If I need something, they are who I go to. If I have something to offer, they are who I go to. You get the idea.
I’m not going to tell you the names of all of my “Go To Guys” (two of which are female, just for the record), but I will turn you on to one…
His name is Mike Merz and you may know him best from Internet Marketing for Newbies. Mike and I met over 4 years ago, about the time my own internet marketing forum went live. With similar sites that target the same market, we were obvious ‘competitors’. But instead of competing against each other for traffic and sales… we became fast friends.
Friends with one of your biggest competitors? Are you crazy?! Nah…
(well, some would argue)… but I have my own views on networking with your competition. And truth be known, that was one of the better alliances I have ever been involved with.
It didnt take long for me to figure out that Mike Merz was one of those “go to guys”. He has excellent connections, and he knows how to use them. Time and again Mike would hook me up with someone or something that contributed to the growth of my website, and my online business as a whole.
A year or two ago (I’m honestly not sure - time flies) Mike launched a website called JV Notify Pro at http://www.jvnotifypro.com . I was really pleased to see him turn his ‘favors’ into a ’service’, because that’s what he does at this site: He does publicly what he did for so many people behind the scenes for years.
His site is not for everyone. Its for serious eBiz owners, product developers and super affiliates. If you arent going there for two-way networking, or willing to pull your weight as a member, dont even bother clicking on Mike’s link. You dont have to be an “A-Lister” or “Super Affiliate”, but you do have to be willing to contribute something.
If you want to rub elbows with the top Internet Marketers, and get in on the hottest Joint Ventures (on either end), then http://www.jvnotifypro.com is the place to be.
Feel free to tell Mike I sent you. I probably owe him a dozen favors by now ~smile~, so it would make my day to send him even one new ‘heavy hitter’
Best,
