Friday Morning Coffee Break

The coffee is good this morning… So good in fact that I’m brewing a second pot. It’s a quiet overcast day here in the small town where I live, in the valley of the Cumberland Plateau. The kids are off to school, the errands are already done for the day, and I put in a Don Williams CD to enjoy while I clean off my desk and prepare for a day of writing…

It’s been a busy week here. Unusually busy, it seems. I certainly dont live in some dream world where everything comes natural and things just flow easy. My weeks are filled with trips to the grocery store, household chores, flat tires, yardwork, dentist appointments, parent teacher conferences etc etc etc just like any other 30-something single parent.

All the more reason to appreciate a quiet morning and a good cup of coffee, I suppose. ;)

Plans for the day include finishing up a report I am writing for a friend – he’s offering it as a bonus to his own product, and that’s been a fun little project. I’m also hoping to chat with one of my “go-to guys” about one of my own projects. I have a few more traffic questions to answer – those have been fun… and a report to review for a friend.

If I’m lucky I’ll find time to mow the yard this afternoon and sneak in a nap too… ~grin~

Ironically, the report I am reviewing is specifically for Single WAHM’s (WAHMs stands for Work At Home Moms), so I’m looking forward to that. There are a lot of us out there I imagine, juggling life and parenting and business all under the same roof and single-handed.

It’s a good life, mind you – busy, but good. I always joke that I can handle just about anything between my step stool and my checkbook ;) lol.

I’m off to work – I’d like to tie up these loose ends and enjoy a nice weekend. Have a great day!

Best,

Doesn’t it seem to never end some weeks?

I had that the week before Easter, I was running to this appointment and then that, getting ready for company go, go, go.

This week has been much quieter and enjoyable.

But you know even when it is so busy, I wouldn’t trade it for anything.

    Have a great weekend Lynn,
    Heather
