Over the weekend I was browsing through a Wolf Camera store with a friend, and noticed the Digital Picture Frames. What a great idea! The first thing that came to mind - outside of the fact that I have to have one of these 😉 - is what a great marketing tool they could be...
Obviously a digital photo frame that shows a streaming slide show, complete with music, would be the conversation piece in any room. Some of the frames will even play video files. As easy as they are to load up (no computer required with most models - simply use your memory card), you can keep your digital frame current with recent photos from vacation, graduation, family events, your growing children... you name it!
Using Digital Picture Frames as a Marketing Tool
Of course, they could also make a great marketing tool. Imagine a real estate agent showcasing the latest homes. A photographer showing off their line of prints. An interior decorator displaying a slideshow of before and after shots from recent contracts. A web designer could even showcase screen shots of their best work. The ideas are endless!
A digital picture frame is going to capture the interest of anyone who walks in your office. This would make an excellent conversation starter to close a deal. Just let it do the work for you!

Hi Lynn, when I saw those frames as a former Realtor, I thought that would have come in handy during an open house. Put a couple of the frames around the house being showed with soothing music offering quick bits of info with pics of the house main features with your contact info of course. People don't like to be followed around by the Realtor during an open house so this would be an out-of-the-box way of doing it digitally. I like your idea of the family side show. I hope I remember that this Christmas. My mom would love it. 🙂
We just bought one for my mother-in-law for Christmas. Wasn't for any marketing reasons ... just that her wall is covered in pictures of the grandkids in her office at work. So, we bought her one and took pictures of all of us Christmas day throughout the day. Now she has a revolving frame of all of her kids and grandkids. What a space saver!! LOL!
And now that you've mentioned the whole marketing idea ... my father-in-law sells kitchen cabinets. Sounds like he needs one too to showcase his best designs!
