Advanced Marketing Institute has a cool free tool that will analyze your headlines. The results they give you are an EMV Score, which stands for Emotional Marketing Value.
All you have to do is type (or paste) your headline into the headline analyzer and click submit. In addition to the EMV Score, you'll find out which emotion your headline affects most - intellectual, empathetic or spiritual.
This is a neat tool to use on salesletter headlines, email subject lines, the ad titles in your ppc ads, etc. Since I was already working on my internet marketing site when I ran across this tool, I decided to test my headline on that site...
Obviously this could be very valuable if you are split-testing various headlines, sub-headlines or advertisements. Changing a word or two could dramatically affect the score, giving you ideas on how you might improve your copy.
