It seems you wake up on Monday and start your week off great… and then before you realize, half the week has gone by already. That’s me. I just looked up and it’s Wednesday evening.
What prompted me to look was my task list. I keep a mini task list in front of me with the days top priorities. I usually aim to complete them first, as early morning hours are my most productive. I find it easy to work through my master task list this way - in day-size chunks.
At any rate, this week the list hasnt changed. The same four things are on my list that were there on Monday, and on Tuesday, and this morning - on Wednesday. Now how is that, I asked myself? Have I accomplished nothing this week??
Actually it’s been a rather productive week so I cant be too hard on myself. Still, I wondered what was causing me to procrastinate on these four items in particular - or what it was that had me so distracted.
They are big tasks, that’s what. I laughed at myself, made a cup of coffee and dug in. I made a huge amount of progress on it this evening too, which was nice. Finally
What else is going on around here… Let’s see - I got my copy of the Traffic Secrets Course on Friday. I am itching to dig in, but I promised myself I would get these 4 tasks out of the way first. I know that once I crack it open, I am going to want to take my time and absorb it all.
Yesterday I received my latest book from Amazon in the mail - The 4-Hour Workweek by Tim Ferriss. I am currently on page 26, and so far its ehhhh so-so. I may have to just start over. For some reason I’m not getting into the book and I usually devour books on this topic. I honestly think its just me this week - but I’ll post a full review on that when I finish it.
I got another delivery today, this time from Fed-Ex. I bet my neighbors wonder about all of these package deliveries
. This package was from HP - a new battery and AC adapter for my laptop. I accidentally cut the cord on my original adapter in two when it got caught in the recliner, LOL.
You know what I love about HP? They knew me. They knew what I bought, and what I needed. I have had this laptop for 3 years. Yes, it’s old. I debated just buying a new one, but this one works great for what I use it for. Anyway, I call at 10pm on a weekend night 3 years after my purchase… and I dont even have to dig out part numbers or model numbers or anything. Bam - easy as pie - it arrived a few days later. Gotta love that.
That’s about it. The school year is almost over for the kids, and I am busy finishing up projects and writing up summer goals. What about you - How are things going on your end this week?

A pain isnt it? I spliced mine back together, which was a temporary solution… but finally had to break down and order a new one, hehe
