Harvey Segal and Adrian Ling have developed a new program called Forum AdManager that was created specifically for PHPBB forums.

This program allows you to sell valuable advertising spots on your forum with hands-off automation.

The crazy part? This software is FREE… and for a limited time they will even install it for you free of charge as well!

(What’s the catch, right?)

I took a test run on a PHPBB Forum where this program was installed, and I’m pretty impressed with it. As most of you know, I manage an active discussion forum myself that runs on the PHPBB forum software. I have sold advertising on my forum for several months now… and I can tell you firsthand that without an automated program to manage it all, well - it can be quite the task to maintain.

This program allows advertisers to set up their ads, format them, make changes to them, renew them - and basically manage their advertising campaign without your personal assistance.

It keeps a calendar of available dates and run times so that advertisers can select their date ranges for ads to run and see at a glance when they can obtain a certain ad spot.

As the forum owner, you can set up your own ads to run whenever the spots are not taken by paying advertisers. That way there is never blank space in your advertising slots and you can earn money on the products/links you advertise yourself.

The Catch…

There is none really. The software AND the installation are completely free. For a limited time, I should mention - installation is currently free though there is usually a $25 fee for this option.

You keep 67% of the Ad Revenue generated by your discussion forum. There’s the catch you were looking for - a small percentage of your revenue goes to the developers of Forum AdManager.

It’s not really much of a catch, though. If you want to do all the work yourself, you’ll quickly realize (if you havent already) that it is A LOT of work to manage manually. 33% is a small price to pay to open up this stream of revenue and begin making money from your active forum.
