Free Web Site Content… That Pays!

Now here's something interesting... It's pay-per-view content that pays you for page/story views and video plays on your website. Basically you publish videos and news stories (free web content) on your blog or site, and they pay you for each view. Not per click, like Adsense, but per view.

There is no concern over duplicate content as the text stories are shown within a Text Player (not actual text). Obviously this also means that the story doesnt serve as actual content on your website, but that's a good thing.

If you title the page with a unique subject line, and also include your comments or review of the article/video - you have unique content that pays per view!

The payout structure for views goes by CPM (cost per thousand) and is:

Video Feed $4.00
Video Story $3.00
Text Story $1.00
Image $1.00

There is also a bit of a viral opportunity here as well. If someone likes the video or story you've posted well enough to republish it on their own site, you also get paid for those views. Think of it like a second tier. The payout for views on those 'referred sites' is:

Video Feed $1.00
Video Story $.50
Text Story $.50
Image $.50

This is an example of text content:
Blogger Hit By Storm

This is an example of the video player, which is actually a video that explains how to mash content from TheNewsRoom.com (the site that offers the payout):

Yes, they are displaying ads alongside the content. But instead of placing ads yourself you are getting paid for page views - with no concern over clicks and conversions.

Obviously you could include your own advertisements, content and offers - including Google Adsense - on the same website... so consider this an addition or a new alternative revenue source, to consider!

For example, I own a site where I sell dart supplies and am in the process of adding a blog that carries stories on professional dart news. A quick search at TheNewsRoom for "darts" gives me some additional content to add to the site.

It's worth testing! See: http://www.thenewsroom.com/get_paid

  1. Seems like a good idea, but the traffic you would have to drive to make a reasonable amount would be phenomenal!

  2. Hi Karl,

Interestingly enough, this is the problem that some sites have: tons of traffic, but unsure how to monetize it.

And views are a lot easier to get... than sales 😉

  3. As I have a site but am not facile at working it as you I've begun working with an Internet Marketing genius and hope to include this great idea as well as many others including much of yours, Lynn.

Keep up the great work! I'm glad I subscribed to ClickNewz.com.

Exactly my problem with one particular site. I'm going to have to check it out more, but this looks like a great source of side income for it. Thanks Lynn!

As easy to setup, install and use as falling off a log. True click, copy, paste, watch. No video stuttering(also called buffering), no command line stuff. True there is a minimum ($50) before a check will be cut and while yet to be implemented at the moment no Paypal.

  7. I already use this! Great to share with folks! It is EASY! I put one article at the bottom of the blog I used here for my website and currently it is on Fall Fashion! No, it doesn't pay a lot, but if you don't have to do ANYTHING but take 5 minutes to find "mash" and html code it into your blog, and leave it alone! No biggie, right!? I don't think I would coat my site with it, but it is neat when you aren't feeling creative, that is for sure! To be honest, I am interested in the same articles I use, so I read them also!

Thanks for sharing this! I LOVE your blog!
