That question has already been addressed in my 20/20 progress posts, but here’s one I received yesterday (on Day 20) that I didnt expect:

If a 10-year veteran and marketing “guru” cant do it, then how do they expect ANYone to? The system must be flawed…

This is of course in direct reference to Michael Green’s guaranteed $20k in 20 Days challenge that launched several weeks ago.

Fair enough. I’ll answer both questions openly here before I get into todays update. Some of this will be repetitive for those who have followed along closely – but if its still being asked or commented on, then its worth addressing…

Its been said a number of times that I have an advantage in this Challenge due to my experience and connections. That’s true and I dont deny it. In fact, I have used “my advantage” throughout the challenge – to offer free resources to challenge participants, host weekly Mastermind Meetings, answer questions on the 20/20 support forum and to help 20+ challengers personally with their individual projects.

That, in addition to managing my usual workload (which includes daily entries here at ClickNewz, managing my active discussion forum, writing for my weekly newsletter, updating my affiliate sites for the upcoming holiday sales rush, etc, etc), has taken up most of my working hours – and then some.

To state the obvious: I could have left everything (and everyone) hanging and just focused 100% of my energy to completing the challenge myself. That’s not the reason that I took part in the 20/20 Challenge, and so I dont think its a fair assessment of the challenge itself to use me as a guage for its success.

While I am actively participating in the Challenge at my own pace, and very excited about the progress and the impending results, the main reason that I paid the $247 entry fee (the half price offer) was to check out the ‘product’ (ie offer a thorough review) and to join my readers “in the trenches” so to speak.

Mission accomplished. And I am very impressed with the 20/20 Challenge, having had this opportunity to review it from the inside and to work directly with the participants.

Many of the Challenge participants are behind schedule for one reason or another. Some of them decided to devote more time to their challenge for quality purposes. Others had hurdles to overcome, and are pressing forward regardless.

The overall morale is very high within the group, even after 3 straight weeks of high motivation and a few missed deadlines. Of course, everyone started on a different day, but the initial group is nearing or on their 20th day.

Just to clarify, I am not backing out on you here, or making excuses for the Challenge. But I dont want a misperception or a personal dig at me to discourage anyone from taking part in what could literally be a major turning point in their online business and in their life.

With that out of the way, we’ll get on to an actual update…

Day 21

As I mentioned on Day 19, my project for the 20/20 Challenge is a product launch. The product teaches an awesome online marketing method that I have been testing out behind the scenes for the last few months.

I have tested this method myself, and also with several other product developers and online marketers. So part of my work today towards this project is getting 2 major case studies outlined that show exactly how this method works (in great detail).

I also started the rough draft for my lead-in and follow-up series, and outlined another (new) special report I am adding in with my product. I’m pretty excited about that one .

I’m still working on my JV list, which is growing by the day. The Elite Members at my discussion forum are helping me with my list of potential Joint Venture partners. In exchange, I’ll be giving them a copy of this highly valuable JV list as a free download when it is complete.

I have a Virtual Assistant working on some market research behind the scenes, so I sent her the details for that this morning. And of course I sat down here to give you an update . So I am off now, to finish up the work on my case studies and also get prepared for tomorrows Free Webinar at SSWT…

As I mentioned earlier, things are really coming together now in this final stretch and much of today was spent organizing the entire project as a whole. I was able to detail out the individual tasks, and began outsourcing them as well.

I am trying to resist feeling overwhelmed, and taking this one step at a time. The anticipation about the end result being a big help in the motivation department.

I am in the process of finishing up my actual timeline, which includes taking work I outsourced into consideration. I dont want to rush anything, as my goal is quality across the board. That said, my unofficial projection is that I will extend my “20 Day Challenge” into 37 days.

Without being repetitive, this is due more to the fact that I am personally behind on the day-by-day steps than a failure of the outline itself. While it is the 19th day since I signed on, I’m only actually on about Day 6 of the challenge. So my extention is not unrealistic.

It should be said too, that this is not a one-off project. The product will remain on the market, and will remain profitable. So I fully expect to meet the goal, and continue forward from there.

I’ll give you a little bit of ‘scoop’ today – more detail than usual at least. If you havent already guessed, I am working on a product launch as my project for this Challenge. I am incredibly pleased with how it is going so far, and amazed at how much I have accomplished in less than 3 weeks (even if I am running a little behind schedule)…

If you’ve ever launched a product before, you already know what all goes into it. If you havent, I’ll just tell you straight up: it is a daunting and easily overwhelming task! The 20-day Challenge has really gotten me over the hurdle, and gotten things in motion on a major fast-track.

The goal of this Challenge is to earn $20,000 in 20 days. So the question of the day is: Will I achieve that goal?

No. I am fairly confident that I am going to earn MUCH more than $20k, and I’m projecting (based on the information I have at the time of this post) that it will happen within 37 days.

And what I’m bringing to market is going to make A LOT of people A LOT of money

My work towards the project went exceptionally well this morning. I hopped onto Skype and dialed up one of my closest business friends. And let me just stop there and say this: If you are not creating your own “Inner Circle” of friends and partners, you should. It is one of my greatest assets, and something I’ve been adding to for years.

Anyway, a bit of brainstorming and feedback, along with a fresh perspective, and things started shaping up very nicely. I have the core product ready, but spent the morning fleshing out the final details on the offer as a whole. The sales copy is now in the works (w00t!). My task list is complete with details and ordered by priority, and my pre-launch strategy and long-term marketing strategy are sketched out as well.

I have a list of potential JV Partners that is looking great (you should contact me now if this got your attention ), and I got a head start on the bonus package to go with my offer. And in fact, one of the bonuses is being written by a “secret undercover author” – very exciting!

We had a much smaller group attend the online meeting this week. The question is: are people dropping out of the 20k Challenge, or just waiting for the recorded archive of the meeting to listen in later? Is the pressure on, or is the momentum dropping off?…

If you arent already familiar with it, I’m referring to Michael Green’s 20/20 Challenge – a challenge to earn $20,000 in just 20 days. You can still join in, and the price is still dramatically reduced. Oh – and Michael guarantees the results with this Challenge.

We are approaching the 20th day since this Challenge was publicly launched, so those that got in at the beginning should be incredibly close to Day 20 – if not on it today. At our meeting some challengers were feeling the pressure, worried that they were being left behind and everyone else was far ahead of them. Others werent worried at all, holding their pace “with blinders on” (including me)…

As I said, this is officially Day 18 of the 20-day Challenge for me. I am not actually on “step 18″ though – I’m a bit behind for obvious reasons. That said, I got FAR MORE than $247 in value from this already, and intend to march forward at a steady pace.

My issue has not been so much in jumping that “Day 3 hurdle” (a big one for some challengers), but in finding the time to work on the daily steps every single day. I have actually made considerable progress since my last update, but most of the work towards this challenge happens in spurts for me.

This weekend, for example, is a 4-day Fall Break for the kids. Long weekends are always a great opportunity for me to do catch-up work, and so I expect to make a lot of headway today and tomorrow.

You would think I would get less done with the kids home, but its quite the opposite. The school schedule is fairly hectic (when you include extra-curricular activities) and forces me to work during the most interruptive part of the day: daytime . When the kids are out, I can work late and sleep in, which for some reason results in much higher productivity.

This time of year I am always busy updating affiliate sites, and as you probably know I’m working overtime until I get a new team together. My discussion forum has been particularly active lately as well, requiring more of my time and attention.

But then, I imagine everyone who joined in on the 20/20 Challenge had a full-time job, a business to run, or an otherwise busy life. So I’m not making excuses, but giving you an update on where I stand and how the Challenge is going for me personally.

I cant really give you details about what it is that I’m working on for this Challenge… so I’ll just say what I can. Those that are “on the inside” will know what I mean

I have retained services from 2 people this week – one to take some tasks off my plate and free me up to work on my Challenge, and another to help me with one of the tasks in Steps 5 & 6.

I am actually ahead in several ways, and so my 20-day Checklist has checkmarks all over the place. My goal by the end of the day is to analyze my progress, jot out a quick “fast track” strategy to catch up where I need to (incuding outsourcing where necessary), and then work down that list today and tomorrow.

I’m one of those strange people that works well under pressure. Or to put it another way: I’m one of those procrastinators that generally gets things done in one big all-nighter… the night before.

Not recommended. Particularly not for a step-by-step, day-by-day Challenge like this one. But that is where I stand nonetheless.

I’m off to work on my Checklist and find out where I am… and see how much more progress I can make today. Expect another update from me tonight (though “tonight” may be the early hours of tomorrow, depending on how late I work ).

Edit at 12:39am: Better make that tomorrow – I can already see that I’m going to stay busy on this tonight, so I’ll save the update for tomorrow!

Of course, I’m taking the weekend to do a little catch-up work, so I’m whizzing right through the steps at this point.

Earlier this week I hosted a Mastermind Meeting for fellow challengers that are involved in the 20/20 Challenge. The purpose was for open discussion, brainstorming, and to answer any questions they had.

That online meeting actually went quite well, and while I cant share the contents of the 90 minute brainstorming session with you… I will tell you a couple of things we discussed that really impressed me.

First was the overall attitude and motivation from the group as a whole. Nobody at the meeting was exactly where they wanted to be day-wise. In fact, many of them were still on Day 3 and finding it quite a hurdle. I can relate – Day 3 & Day 6 are probably the only two real hurdles out of the entire 20-day plan…

That is the reason I named this entry “Day ?“… I’ll have a better idea what day I am actually on by the first of the week, so I’ll be sure to post then and give you the update.

The second thing that impressed me during our mastermind meeting was the overwhelmingly positive response to the 20/20 Challenge. There wasnt a single person in the room that intended to take Michael up on his guarantee. And they ALL felt fully confident they could earn at least $20,000 with this step-by-step strategy.

Take a good hard look at the picture ^ above. The question most people are asking themselves is “Can I really make $20,000 in 20 days?” On Day 5, it all came together for me in a resounding YES.

I cant say that I had any real doubts prior to that exact moment… more that I was just very busy studying the manual and the concepts and wrapping my mind around the whole idea. And I’m referring specifically to earning $20k in 20 days with Michael Green’s 20/20 Challenge, just to clarify.

I had one of those AHA moments where it just all came together for me, and I ended up jotting down 3 pages of notes in my 20/20 journal. Since then I have been busily working through each of the notes, marking off several of them already as “accomplished!” and moving forward at much better speed now.

I have ideas running out my ears actually … I’m finding this challenge to be just what I needed to kick-start some serious action on some very exciting goals.

I can tell you already that I will not be needing Michael’s “guarantee” on this program, and that I fully intend to use this step-by-step plan over and over again. The strategy itself is both powerful and simple. You can add in variations and modifications of your own of course, and use it in a variety of ways. Which is exactly what I’ll be doing in the months to come…

I’m finally catching up just a bit. Instead of whizzing through the Manual I really wanted to take my time and review it carefully. I have to say, it’s very well-written. I love the flow of it – its both easy to read and incredibly motivating.

The tasks for each of the 20 Days are laid out nicely. Michael takes a daunting task and breaks it down in bite-size steps – complete with checklists. There are no assumptions made. The first chapter covers all of the obvious questions: Is this goal attainable? What will it take? What is required? etc…

Day 3 is going to be a doozy for most challenge participants, I’m guessing. Its the first real definitive action that will set things in motion – so some careful consideration needs to be spent there.

While it is officially closing in on the end of Day 4 for me, that is exactly where I am sitting right now: on Day 3. Those of you that are involved in this challenge know the size of the decision I am making. I have some more thinking to do, and I’m off to the Challenge Forum to brainstorm some ideas…

Side note: I think access to the private 20/20 challenge forum alone was worth the price of entry into this program – Wow!

That’s okay with me – and I hope its okay with you too. Personally I plan to do a little quick-burst of catching up over the weekend in my usual style . We all have busy lives, and I can imagine what you are working around to squeeze this into your schedule. The adjustments are well worth it of course, but that doesnt usually make the juggling any easier.

Juggling on my end has included a busy week full of cheerleading practice (yay rah!), dart league (first loss of the season), parent/teacher conferences, my live webinar, a fun affiliate blogging interview I did this morning, my usual daily tasks of course, plus… keeping tabs on the $20k discussions both here and at my forum and via email.

Day Two saw some concerns as people were not able to access the 20/20 Challenge Forum… There seemed to be a backlog on approvals and replies there, which got everyone in a stir. Fortunately by the end of the day that was resolved, we all got access… and challengers received an email with 2 suprise bonuses to boot!
