Today’s suggestion is another interesting one I wouldn’t have come up with on my own: using petitions to grow your mailing list. Petitions have the potential to go viral simply because the issues surrounding petitions are often emotionally charged. People sign them and pass them to their friends to sign them, especially if the issue is very important to them…

Before you implement either of these list-building strategies, a very strong warning about how you present your giveaway or offer, to avoid unhappy subscribers – and potentially serious spam complaints. This could also relate to your opt-in incentive, or offering a bribe to get people to subscribe to your newsletter or mailing list, so please take this warning seriously…
