Moving from Blogger to WordPress

When I decided to move from Blogger to WordPress, I had two options. I could start fresh, or I could import all of my content here to the new WordPress platform. I actually put quite a bit of thought into that… and I decided NOT to import my old posts into this new blog. Find out why, and what else I did to make this a smooth transition.

PubCon 2006 Trip: Once I finally talked myself into going (100%, no backing out, definitely going), I spent three whole days (geez!) deciding on my exact travel & hotel arrangements. There were certain things that were important to me, though, and I’ll share with you what I considered and learned in the process - especially useful for those of you that are making the same trip!

Twice a year WebmasterWorld puts on a Conference called PubCon. This year the Spring event is being held in Boston, MA at the Hynes Convention Center. I have never attended one of the PubCon conferences… so I’ve decided to pack up & go!

Web Hosting -> HostGator vs ThirdSphere

ThirdSphere isn’t the perfect solution for everyone, and so I set out to find a less expensive web host that was still reliable and feature-rich. HostGator is the one that I chose. So yes, I still have my account with ThirdSphere, and I also have two accounts with HostGator. There are a lot of options when it comes to web hosting, but these are two that I consider reliable and super-easy to use. (read more)
