Alexa is an outdated tool, and was always a skewed metric anyway. I would focus more on getting in front of your market than on increasing any type of rank on any given tool.

The alexa traffic statistics are a complete joke. Just by installing their search bar and browsing yiour website with it for a few days you can bump your site up hundreds of thousabnds of spots. Don't worry about alexa.
