Regrets (personal)

posted on September 14th, 2008 ·

On Friday night I was the lead speaker for the Moms Affiliate Expo, and towards the end I took a few questions. One thing everyone wanted to know was how many hours I work online to run my internet business.

Next they wanted to know what kind of hours I worked during the start-up years“It’s great you can run your biz in less than 10 hours a week now, but what about when you got started??”

A fair question, and I gave an honest answer…

“Rank and Tank” - The Definition

posted on September 9th, 2008 ·

Rank & Tank is a catchy new phrase that I came up with to describe a current ranking trend on Google, specific to blogs. To give proper credit, the idea came to me during Jerry West’s presentation at the StomperNet Live6 event last month. The term itself was not used or taught, but the idea came to me as one of those AHA! “lightbulb moments” while Jerry was explaining how Google currently treats blog posts in the SERPs…

How to Use Social Media… Successfully

posted on September 8th, 2008 ·

In the previous post, Social Media Marketing (A Warning), I pointed out the potential dangers of using Social Media properties the wrong way. Here, we’ll look at ways you can run a social media campaign successfully, without fear of ultimately doing more harm than good.

Social Media Marketing (A Warning)

posted on September 8th, 2008 ·

Social Media properties just may be the focus of the next big “slap”.
