Monday Motivation: GOYA!

Do you still believe in your goals, or have you all but given up?

Goal Achievement Quote

β€œStop foolishly selling yourself short as you have the ability to multiply your performance, dramatically exceed your best expectations, and achieve goals on a pace and scale that will blow your mind.” –Gary Ryan Blair

Today is Monday, the second Monday of April, which means we're a full week into the second quarter already...

How did last week go for you?

Did you kick off Q2 with a bang and hit your goals HARD?

Or are you still doing the same thing, with the same results, and realizing you're not getting ANY closer to reaching your goals? (that would be the most common answer.)

It never ceases to amaze me how FAST days go by, then weeks - then months. Like the fact that we're in the 4th month of this year already. How did that happen?!

I had such big ambitious FUN goals for 2018... and I realized last week that I let the first 90 days of the year totally get away from me - without RESULTS.

It's never too late to pull it all together and make things happen, though...

I've read the Q2 Comeback Manifesto three times now (the free link is below) and have been reading the "Achieve Goals FAST!" guide this weekend - also from Gary Ryan Blair. Talk about a serious dose of inspiration and motivation!!

That's exactly what I needed to kick things back into high gear. πŸ˜‰

Food for thought today:

If you could accomplish ANYTHING in the next 90 days, or even in the next 30 days... what would that be?

Think on that for a few minutes.

Then ask yourself:

"Why haven't I done it yet?"

πŸ™‚

Those are the two questions I asked myself in my brainstorming journal this past week. Along with what are you waiting for?! and how bad do you really want it anyway, if you're not doing anything about it? πŸ˜›

I have three main goals for 2018...

I'll tell you one of them: to get in amazing shape! Sadly that's been one of my top priorities and main goals for three years straight. *sigh* Seriously. I don't mind to admit that though, because... I figure you can relate. Right?

I'm sure you have a goal like that too, that you'd LOVE to see through.

Interestingly, when I shared my question above with several different groups of people, asking: "If you could accomplish ANYTHING in the next 90 days, what would that be?" - I personally felt like most people didn't shoot high enough, or weren't challenging themselves HARD enough. (I think that's common too.)

You can achieve way more than you give yourself credit for - in way less time than you think.

I know this from personal experience.

We tend to sell ourselves short, drag things out to the point of never completing them, and spend more time wishing and planning... than actually DOING. (also common)

I was thinking on that earlier today - my personal experience with achieving amazing things in short time. Some of those experiences make GREAT stories. One of these days (lol - common!) I'll sit down and compile those stories into a jaw-dropping book, hey. πŸ˜‰

Anyway, the common denominator in all of those situations was "a sense of urgency." I had no choice but to make something happen in the shortest time possible in each of those scenarios.

Like one particular point in my life when I lost 23 pounds in 7 weeks because I couldn't afford to feed myself and two children too. Obviously I put my children first...

But guess how hard I worked to get out of THAT hole?! πŸ˜‰ It's nothing short of amazing what you can accomplish when you're HUNGRY enough. Seriously.

That's not one of those crummy 'rags to riches' stories, it was just a particularly bad phase of life in my 20's - actually after I had achieved some pretty impressive business success. You know, one of those points where life pulls the rug out from under you and the sky falls on your head all at the same time.

I made a helluva comeback though... in a few short months. πŸ™‚

I'm crazy proud of that. My daughter and I were just discussing that on the phone earlier this evening. She was 5 at the time... and she's 21 now, and experiencing the FUN of being in your earlier twenties (ha!).

So yes, I've been in business just over 21 years now.

Like I said - time flies.

Speaking of, I don't want to take up any more of yours. I just wanted to reach out and hopefully send you a spark of inspiration, something to think on, a little motivation for your Monday even. πŸ™‚
