Without Backlinks, You Have Nothing.

Now that's a big red headline if I ever saw one πŸ˜‰ ...

And it's mine! Well, mine along with my partner Paul Short. He's actually the brains behind this brand new product that we're (finally!) releasing publicly. It actually started out as a secret resource that we only discussed during our private brainstorming chats.

And then... I said "we really need to share this."

You could have heard a pin drop over the Plantronics Headset, I tell ya.

As you can see, I did talk him into it. πŸ˜€

  1. Great info on the new product..will review as soon as possible. Welcome back from Vegas!

  2. Lisa Marie Mary says:

Wow, Lynn and Paul! What an amazing package! That's totally awesome!

  3. That sounds so good, I am probably going to have to bend my buy nothing in January rule. I know that whatever you put your name behind is a winner. And we all need links. Off to read the sales page once more.

    • OMG, Adriana, same here! I promised myself I wouldn't buy anything new now and then Lynn goes and does this, hehehe.

The thing is, this is exactly what we need and it's from Lynn, whom we all love and trust to pieces.

So there goes our first resolution for the new year.

  4. Alex Newell says:

This looks like an amazing resource of high quality sites. All I need now is someone to do the grunt work for me...

Like Adriana, I can feel my "buy nothing" resolve crumbling...

  5. LOL, thanks everyone. It's so exciting working behind the scenes with Lynn. What a way to kick off the new year!

And this package is like no other link building product you'll find out there. It's all meat and no fluff, if you're into getting down to business and promoting your sites πŸ˜‰

    • It has been a pleasure working with you on this project, Paul! It's amazing what you can achieve when you put TWO heads together πŸ˜€ This is going to give A LOT of people a serious kick-start on 2010!

  6. Alan Petersen says:

Hey Lynn and Paul, looks like a great package! I'm gun-shy when it comes to backlink lists since the quality isn't very good or it's abused but since this has Lynn behind it, I won't pass up on it. πŸ™‚ The indexing guide sounds pretty sweet. Any danger of these sites getting angry if all a sudden bunch of us are using these packets?

    • Hi Alan,

There's such a variety of different kinds of URLs in this package and everyone will use them differently, so there shouldn't be any problems with that.

The key to using them is to shake it up and link to different pages and sites you have. The more variety the better when you're link building.

      Hope that helps πŸ™‚

  7. Melissa Ingold says:

K, I gave in and bought the package. Now I just need to put my VA's to work πŸ™‚

  8. Dawnaurora says:

I will also have to bend my buy nothing in January rule. I do know that this is not one of those shiny new toys. This is the real deal. Cannot wait to dive into this great product.

  9. Wendy Wood says:

Great timing! More backlinks is one of the goals that I plan to focus a little more on this year. Going to make my purchase. Thanks Lynn and Paul. πŸ˜‰

  10. If this had come from anyone else I would say "too good to be true," but since I've already been able to benefit from so many of your offers, I know I can trust them. Can't wait to dig into this.

  11. Elizabeth Ashe says:

I also had the rule also this year to not buy anything that would distract me from my goals. But this will only take me closer, thanks Lynn!

  12. Ok Lynn, I read the info. page, but still need clarification cause I learn better by examples. If I have a site that sells speciality t-shirts for example, you're going to show me how to find t-shirt related places to submit my URL and I'm going to get other t-shirt places to link my site? Or both? Is this appropriate for someone who just launched a niche affiliate site too?

    • Hi Kimmoy,

There's a technique in the Power Tips Guide that enables you to find any niche URLs you want. All you have to do is modify the technique to suit your needs.

But also, a variety of inbound links is good because almost any link has value, not just ones that point from another t-shirt site. Don't be afraid to get links from any legit place you can. They all help, even if it's a little.

    • I answered this further down too, Kimmoy - look for my response in blue πŸ™‚

  13. Thank you both for what seems like the answer to what i've been asking lately: "OK, writing comments is great, but how do I find the sites that will approve my links?".

I do have a questions, though.
In order for these links to be "valuable" links (from what I understand...) they need to be from sites with high relevance (or at least some) to our niche, right?
How do I know if your package covers my niche?

    • Hi Nicole,

There's a more detailed reply in my answer to Kimmoy above.

One thing I find about link building, or any form of marketing for that matter, is that the more things get repeated and passed on from person to person, the more they're believed to be fact.

Yes, this would be an ideal scenario: "A PR9 link in a raving review from a high traffic Dog Training site to your Dog Training site." It would definitely benefit you and your site more.

But spending all your time and energy just to find those "Perfect links" would be your downfall.

Your time would be better spent getting as many legit links as you can, because as those links age and the sites they're placed on gain value over time and that value gets passed on to your site as it ages.

      I hope that helps.

      • So you're saying quantity is better than quality? As long as you have reputable (high ranking sites) linking to your site, it's better than having relevant sites linking to your site? I guess I'm not clear on what the true value of links is...

        • I discussed that in this post, regarding how links are valued:

Obviously you want relevant inbound links, so you'll probably create your own resource by handpicking from the list you get in the package. That said, some links are valuable regardless of relevance.

Also, a lot of people think that the ideal link is to get a dog training link from a dog training site to your own dog training site, to use Paul's example. Unfortunately these are hard to get as they are competing sites, and it normally won't happen. So what you really want are complimentary sites linking to yours, instead of competing sites. Make sense?

An example of complimentary sites might be a cooking blog to a kitchen appliance site. A pet forum to a hamster blog. A webmaster's site to a hosting company.

  14. Hi Lynn,
This whole package looks great and if it wasn't for the fact I've been following you for a while now, it would probably end up in the too good to be true camp;)

One question though - if you sell hundreds / thousands of these things, isn't there a risk that the sites we are getting links from either work out something is going on, or Google gets wind of it and spoils the party and worse sees it negatively?

Or am I just being paranoid......

    • Hi Wendy,

      Variety is the key here.

Not everyone will be going to the exact same sites at the same time and trying to get the same links. There are so many in the package and your links will be different from everyone elses.

The way you use the tools and info is different from how someone else uses them, so there shouldn't be a problem as long as the product is used legitimately.

  15. I must admit, I didn't see this one coming. I'm checking it out real closely coz if Lynn likes it then it must be good! However, due to Christmas and all (meaning TOTALLY broke lol), I'll have to wait a couple weeks and pay the full price. But I'm ok with that.

    Gary Anderson II

  16. Johnny Mac says:

Love it !! Love it !! Love it !! thanks guys for this great 5000 backlinks.com package.

  17. Karen McGreevey from Kittens 'n Things says:

Well, count me in with those who've already commented about not especially wanting to purchase something new. And like the others, since Lynn's name is attached it made my decision easier.

Since I am my own VA, I just finished the initial phase of the setup for my blog...I and clicked "publish" at blogspot. I must admit I'm not thrilled with the template choices but understand those can be changed.

"After the fact," though, I do have a question or two...when you say to check the url of the new blog in about 2 hours, is the "new url" the one that I just set up...or is it the one I'm wanting to get traffic to?

And, now because I now have this new blog, am I supposed to keep posting to it regularly?

I'll delve into the rest of your 5000 information in the other files that came with it later.

    Now it's one hour, 55 minutes. πŸ™‚

    • In a while, put the domain name of the site you want indexed, your main site whose URL you used in the special.txt file, into Google's search box.

Just like in the screenshot in the Instant Indexing Guide, you should see something similar to that.

The new blog - hey, why not use it! Each time you post there just include a link or two to new pages on your main site = more inbound links and indexing/traffic opportunities.

Use all the tools at your disposal πŸ™‚

      • Karen McGreevey from Kittens 'n Things says:

I'm "getting the picture" now! πŸ™‚

And, as I mentioned above, I have not yet gotten through all the materials where I'm sure I'll see lots of answers to questions I don't even know yet.

Now, I'm more excited than ever.

  18. Lynn, This looks like a great product and it couldn't have come at a better time for me.My no buy until after NAMS has been put on hold. I need these links and this looks like a very good place to get them. Thanks again for giving us yet another good piece of information. Thanks Lynn
    Gail J Richardson

  19. I am really new at selling on line and use templates for everything. Is this something that requires a little bit of training or experience? I have been reading Dan Theis' free book on SEO and have found that I am not up to par on the technical aspect. Sometimes I feel like I'm a little over my head.

    • Without actually knowing either way (your experience, the product) your comment about the technical aspect, felling a little in over your head, I just wanna say, having been there like most, that's good.

It means you are getting there because none of this is simple or straight forward but the only way to get there is to keep plugging away and learning as you go along.

It struck me because it's also this way with anything online, marketing, building websites, blogging, being social, building a list, whatever, the only way to really get anywhere is to do, test, change, grow.

If it was easy we would all be doing it..oh wait, we are! πŸ˜›

Not to put a dampener on your comment, but quite the opposite.
If it gets hard there is always someone else who can help in some way...in this case I suppose Paul or Lynn being owners know more than most..including me so I won't comment on that and the product.

Go forth Rowena, the end result is there for you to grab, you only. πŸ˜€
Hope it helps in some way.

    • I think you'll find this super simple, Rowena. That said, I do have a discussion forum where you are welcome to ask questions anytime you have them! The link is:

  20. *sigh... not in a position to get that at the minute, but great to see you two launching something together.

*sigh... if only my damn ears worked and I could join those chats! πŸ˜›

Nevertheless, great to see decent people pushing decent stuff, for a change! No offence to anyone, but you get my drift πŸ˜€

Best of luck in this, will keep an eye on it and see where I really could benefit from it and then see what happens from there.

Have a great and safe trip Lynn, get back to work Paul πŸ˜›

  21. Hi Lynn and Paul, this looks like a great product. I am a total newbie regarding marketing my site and business online and so I am wondering if this is a product suitable for a beginner?

    • Hi Jill,

This product is only suitable for you if you are specifically at a point in your online business where you need backlinks. If you are not sure, then it is probably not for you. Personally I think that everyone needs this, but I do live by the saying "buy only what you need, right now, to accomplish what you are trying to achieve right now."

Do you have a website, and if so are trying to get your pages to rank for specific keyword phrases? If so, you need backlinks πŸ˜‰

Let me know if you have any questions. I can point you to specific tutorials here on ClickNewz about link building if you need them!

      • Lynn, yes I have a website that I sell antiquarian books on that I would like to increase traffic to and sales from, so any tutorials that would help me build the foundation to build on would be terrific.

        • Hey Jill,
Make sure you are subscribed to the email list here - you can do that just below the post (above) or at the top right of the blog in the right sidebar. I am going to send out a free report on link building this week that you can print off. πŸ˜‰

In the meantime, if you start here and look about halfway down the page, you'll find my recent Link Building Series which will help you A LOT πŸ™‚ :

  22. I actually need some good quality backlinks, so I may consider this, the price is really good. Are this over-abused links? could you email me a few samples?

    • Hi,

While I don't know what links are used and such I DO know Paul and Lynn wouldn't be doing crap like that.

Just thought I'd chip in if you are really on the fence, I know that there is no way Paul or Lyn would risk that.

Not sure what you term as an "over-abused link".

    • Thanks, Rob πŸ˜‰

No, the links are great Dave.
And Paul and I stand behind the product 100% πŸ˜€

  23. I was waiting until after NAMS when I hope to finally have an idea of what I am doing to buy anything else. However, this is one of the things Lynn has said to do and I trust her. So I am buying this program! Cannot wait to use it.

  24. Thanks Rob, I'm almost off the fence - Is this something I will be able to do on a part time basis? Is it daily? Weekly? I am willing to give up sleep, but that's all I have to offer right now : ) But, really need to develop a second income!!

    • You can use this as much or as little as you want, when you want. But it'll be most effective if you're getting at least a few varying links to your sites each week.

The search engines love new stuff, whether that be new content on your site, new links from different pages, etc. So the important thing is that you're doing something whenever you can to build content or promote your site.

Something, no matter how little, is always better than nothing πŸ™‚

    • You already have a website or blog, right? Backlinks alone won't create a second income, but I'm assuming you have a site to promote. Just wanted to be sure πŸ˜‰

  25. Hope you can clarify something for me: I have been doing some affiliate marketing but am getting ready to set up some websites (both WP blogs and regular websites). I am seeing 2 different opinions from different(seemingly reputable)internet marketers. One group says do not monetize a new website for at least a month or you will end up in the Google sandbox for 6 mo. The other group (mostly the ones who sell the auto website generators including affiliate plugins etc) say just put your website up, drive traffic and watch the sales come in. Do you have an opinion on this? If you can monetize right away of course it seems it would be good to use backlinks to drive traffic but now I am concerned about monetizing a new website right away.

    • Rather than be stuck between two popular opinions, it's better to just put up your sites and start consistently adding content and getting links.

Overanalyzing and reading too much into all the opinions causes uncertainty, which destroys your drive and ambition. But getting out there and doing it will ultimately be the only thing that'll bring you results.

Sorry if that sounds corny, but it's a fact.

Search engines love new content to include in their index and they find that content through links, not opinions.

Not trying to be blunt. Just trying to help πŸ™‚

    • I've heard the same Marcia, but I've never had a problem getting a commercial site (with quality content) indexed or ranking. That said, in order to get it indexed and ranking you need backlinks - regardless of what you decide on the monetization. So the backlinks wouldn't be a factor in that decision - you definitely need those πŸ˜‰

  26. Cathy Bendzunas says:

So Lynn, will this special price be good through this week??? I really want to get this but can't til friday.

    • Hi Cathy,

We are still working out the details. I am going out of town early Thursday morning so we may have to pull the offer late Wednesday night. As it stands we are looking at midnight EST that evening. If we can extend it I'll let you know, but that's the plan for now!

  27. Carol Giambri says:

So new, so Greekish this talk is, so I don't know what I don't know I am missing or blessed by buying or not. I have a website that is a blog, but inactive with no list, customers, aweber or 1 shopping cart either. You don't know what you don't know to ask, but I know if Lynn endorsed has to be great. So what are backlinks (maybe link to read) so I know what I am missing. Maybe break it down to preschool or maybe I should read the announcement? I would love the link building links you. I also working on a paid theme but I'm sure I have to find a way to get th word out and this is the tool? Thanks. Sorry if I sound ignorant here cause I really am. I feel like I am in a foreign country not understanding the language yet. I know I have to figure out a way to generate income fast and soon. I have a very big learning appetite to invest in more than I chew.

    • Hey Carol,

My internet is giving me fits tonight. I have some links for you and will share those with you here first thing in the morning πŸ˜‰ Here's hoping for a solid connection!

    • Carol Giambri says:

Lynn, Were you referring to the email list subscribing too as the "buttons" on the right sidebar for RSS or SSWT? I have not clicked them, but believe I am subscribed to email list by adding my email address on the right side bar. Just clarifying I'm talking same language here. Thanks.

  28. I'm just launching a new product and really feel this is needed to make it a fast smash! And how could I pass up a Lynn product? I've been waiting years for one πŸ˜‰

  29. Carol Giambri says:

I can wait till you are up and running as well as read here, but still what I don't know I don't know so just need a little more help to "know" about the blessing and great price. Thanks hun. Patiently waiting.

    • Hey Carol,
Make sure you are subscribed to the email list here – you can do that just below the post (above) or at the top right of the blog in the right sidebar. I am going to send out a free report on link building this week that you can print off. πŸ˜‰

In the meantime, if you start here and look about halfway down the page, you’ll find my recent Link Building Series which will help you A LOT πŸ™‚ :

  30. Lynn, and I'd value Paul's opinion on this,

What would you say to a guy like myself who is afraid to make any effort of aggressive backlinking? In fact, I've never intentionally tried to build any links to my main blog. It's all very organic and completely natural (and nearly 99% out of my hands). I feel like the existing links are very legit and Google apparently agrees as they give me great love. Thanks big G.

My question is, at what point do I risk my great relationship with Google by "trying" to get back links instead of just letting them happen naturally? I understand this is not feasible in most people's markets and would be a slow process for others. My blog has been going for 4 years with no SEO manipulation or backlink strategy.

I'd have no problem building lots of back links to most of my other sites but I'm honestly scared to do much of anything with my blog. Do you think having a fear of getting too many back links to my blog is a legit one?

    • Hey Jason,

Since your blog is already doing well and has an established rep, and random pattern of acquiring inbound links, if you suddenly started anything aggressive that didn't reflect that established pattern it could potentially throw up some red flags.

Sites do get dramatic spikes of activity all the time though, as you know. Like if you put up a killer post or vid tomorrow and suddenly a thousand people linked to it, and it's fine. But with an established site it's best to err on the side of caution in your own linking efforts.

Ramp up gradually but randomly, and build up extra links over time. That, plus the organic and random linking pattern that happens anyway, keeps everything appearing natural.

And for everyone else's benefit in this thread, I'd also like to stress that a mix of different kinds of promotion, like social media, forum participation, blog comments with a link back, article marketing, organic linking that happens beyond your control, etc. is always good.

That's why we included such a variety of URLs in the package.

It's also why we've been stressing in this comment thread and by email, that people with a niche Dog site shouldn't just be concentrating on links from other dog sites and ignoring everything else.

If I have a Dog site that I'm building links to, it's only natural for me to be interested in other things like celeb gossip or blogging, so if I comment over at problogger or Perez Hilton I'm going to link my name to my Dog site in the comments.

      Hope this helps πŸ™‚

    • Hard to top that response πŸ˜‰ Thanks, Paul!

  31. Though I feel dumb buying from sales-letter looking pages (& almost never do), Lynn Terry is the only person in this jungle that I trust. And I was planning to spend $500/month on link building, so this package does sound like a great investment. Will buy & download now. Skim it, then give it to my VA.

  32. Hi Lynn. This is arriving just in time for where I am at with my website. Is this is something you could use again and again for different websites in the months/years to come?

    • Hi Suzi, I'm obviously not Lynn but I'll try to answer πŸ˜‰

Yes, there's no reason why you can't sign up for forum links in the package or comment on blogs and then go back there again and participate in the forums (sig links) or comment on those blogs again. For the social media sites included, just leaving a link and never visiting again probably wouldn't benefit you as much as if you picked a few to build out your profiles on over time.

Also, for 12 months you'll get an extra 60+ fresh URLs per month.

Also! There's techniques in the Power Tips guide that shows you how to get any links you want, from just about any site in any niche, for as long as you want to use those techniques.

Using it for any website for as long as you want won't be a problem and as you use it you'll come up with new techniques and ideas on your own.

    • Absolutely πŸ˜‰ Good answer from Paul ^^ πŸ™‚

  33. Well first of all thanks for being a dofollow. I would like to add one thing that many blogger think that being a dofollow is a hassle because the said dofollow brings the spammers is it right or wrong? Please suggest me. You package also seem very reliable and useful.

    • It brings a few, but it also brings legitimate new readers. I outsource my comment moderation, and also use Akismet, so it's not a big deal - and certainly not enough for me to pull the perk for my readers!

  34. Is this product only appropriate for hosted sites? (I'm still getting up to speed on the process of backlinking). Will it work for blogger blogs or squidoo lenses?

  35. The comments really took off! πŸ˜€

Glad to help Lynn, not good to see people perching themselves on the fence to long. πŸ˜›

  36. Lynn,
I think this is just what I need to start the new year off right with my link building. I was following a rigorous link building plan for this past year on both of my sites and I have found what takes the most time is finding those sites to get your url's in there. Since the holidays came and went so did my link building so to say..... I look forward to using this as it will help me be more efficient!

  37. Lynn and Paul,
Thank you sooo much! you are awesome! As a newbie, I will take all the help I can get! Just purchased my copy and I am looking forward to using it!
    Thanks again!

  38. Carol Giambri says:

Thanks Lynn. I am subscribed to this thread and not sure if you refer to this as "email list." Thanks tons! I see I have some great reading to do ahead of me. Appreciate the links. Just a little challenging as a newbie where to start. Maybe you have and I didn't look for "Getting Started Affiliate Marketing 101". Again thanks.

    • There is an opt-in box below each post (above the comment section) or a big blue box at the top right of the page where you can subscribe to get updates and subscriber-only notes.

  39. Hi everyone!

The feedback we've been getting on the backlinks package has been tremendous. So many people seeing great results, but a few had some questions and needed clarification on some things.

We just pushed out an update of the package for new customers and those who already have it will get a download link in their email soon for the 2 updated guides.

All the kudos make us feel great, but by helping those with questions we're making the product even better!

  40. Lynn, this is the product I've been wanting you to put out! Actually this is even better πŸ˜‰

So glad it's finally here. Congratulations to you and Paul!

  41. Carol Giambri says:

Paul, Thanks for chimming in here. I am seeing this offer as a small $ investment and blessing even if it means one tip I'm ahead of the "game." Appreciate your sharing words. I just have to figure how to implement it and if that means getting another domain name as I am building a site that is not ready yet. Just trying to see what is needed as newbie to begin to act and make money. I am just trying to figure out my audience or maybe that is not the right approach? Just want to see the next part of the process to start to generate money vs. just spend (I know I learned tons along the way of my investments, but now it's time to create the business to work for me financially). Thank again. Again appreciate your presence here. Like I shared last night it is like putting me in another country, not understanding the language, but trying to catch up to the "natives" there for years.

    • You definitely want to stay focused on your current project, Carol. As I always say "start to profit!" πŸ˜‰ Getting links is all about promoting your ONE money site so work on that and when you get ready to promote and get backlinks to your site this package will be right here for you.

Any other questions we can do on the forum πŸ˜€

  42. I know that if Lynn is backing this, it's a good product. However, I'm still struggling to understand what it would offer to someone like me who only does affiliate marketing for PHYSICAL products. I don't do any reports, WAHM information, IM ebooks, etc. How can this help build good, solid links when the variety of physical products is so vast?

    • Hi Jeanette,

All types of sites need backlinks. It doesn't matter if it's a one-page salesletter, a squeeze page, a blog, a content site, a squidoo lens, an affiliate site, or a blogger blog. Backlinks are what get them indexed, and help them rank well for their keyword phrase.

We all have different models, different products, and different types of products (including services), but we all use backlinks to get those things found by people and search engines.

  43. Carol Giambri says:

Thank Lynn. Already made the purchase before seeing this note, but seeing as "small" "investment" to gain when ready. I will post away on the forum too. Thanks hun.

  44. Hi Lynn,

    Just FYI...

I placed an order for the package and ran across a problem with the processing. I sent you an E-mail on it. No sweat though, I'm sure it will be resolved. Thanks!

I think I'll try this out tomorrow!

'Course, I'm also planning to attempt my first video, so the day may already be shot...

Knowing Lynn and Paul, I know this is good.

Paul bears more watching, is all. πŸ™‚

  46. A quick resource for you guys, from the archives:

Analyzing Backlinks: How Many Do You Need?

I know you may have seen it before, but the video & tutorial could come in real handy alongside this package πŸ˜‰ Enjoy!

  47. Sounds like a great product if anyone requires a VA to help with their project please let me know.

  48. This backlink special is SUCH perfect timing to work in with my 2010 goal list! Thank you Lynn and Paul for making this affordable for us. January finds most people making resolutions that they are not going to spend anymore money.....but this is an investment that my business can't do without. All businesses need investments and this will be a wise one to be sure!

  49. Wow! this is a HOT topic - 90 comments already. I've been thinking about it since yesterday, and am going to take the plunge, can't wait to see how this works! Thanks, Lynn!

  50. Carol Giambri says:

Lexi, Putting hubby to work will keep him busy; I'm alone or VA. You know hubby will stay out of trouble as no time to get into if he's a willing student. My hubby doesn't type so he won't be even close to your hubby. All is great however so seeing the blessing in all things.
