Adsense & YPN Competitor Launches

The Fair Ads Network is officially launching this week, though they are only allowing 10,000 to sign up during their Beta release. Obviously 10k is a drop in the bucket compared to the number of people that will be interested in "FAN", so you'll want to sign up quick to ensure that you get a spot now.

What is F.A.N.?

FAN stands for Fair Ads Network, and is a contextual advertising system similar to Google Adsense and Yahoo Publisher Network (YPN). Instead of being a direct competitor, FAN considers themselves more of a "positive alternative". While they are a contextual ad network, you'll find a variety of fresh options and user controls that you wont find in other networks.

The official launch date is expected to be late March or early April. But if you plan to use their Referral Program to recommend FAN and earn commissions during official launch, you will want to go ahead and sign up during this beta launch.

There is an option to upgrade to a Master Marketer membership, which is usually 19.99/month. During this beta launch, you can upgrade for only 9.99/month and your membership will remain at that price even during and after the official launch.

VIRAL VIDEOS
We will be introducing our viral video advertising campaigns upon launch. The way it will work is an advertiser will upload their video and we will host it on our servers (basically like YouTube). The publisher then displays it on their website and if a viewer likes it, they will have the option to "share this video."

What happens then is every time that video gets shared and shown on another page, the publisher's ID is secretly embedded in the video ad and will benefit the publisher for every click produced through it. Even when someone clicks on the ad to register as a FAN member, the publisher will get credit for it.

VIRAL TEXT ADS
Other ad networks usually have the text, "Ad by ....." and instantly gives away that the ad is indeed an ad. However, we will display the text, "I'm a FAN!" This will burn an interest for the viewer to want to click on it and find out what you are a FAN of. This makes getting referrals a cinch.

HUMANITARIAN PROJECT
While no other network allows NGOs (non-government organizations) and non-profit organizations to advertise, we would like to give these organizations the chance to advertise for free through our network. If you are a publisher, you can help us by accepting their ads as a charity. All NGOs and non-profit organizations will be thoroughly screened and constantly monitored so you will have the ease of mind of whether they will post inappropriate ads.

Sorry, we can only tease you about it but we cannot give you the full details on it. Let's just say, we are making something usually available to only huge companies and corporations that could afford this and make it available to everyday marketers just like you. Hey, the little guys gotta eat, too, right?

MASTER MARKETER
Oh boy, the things we can say about this. We'll keep it simple and just give you a list of benefits and features of this membership:

Can view your top ad statistics of up to 100 instead of only 25. This is not your ad channels, this is an additional feature.

Can see what the most responsive types of ads (including second and least popular) - regular members won't see this. This will help you determine what to use without wasting your money.

Can see the most popular categories and sub-categories. This can help you create niche websites and businesses that would focus specifically on these categories.

Send emails/messages to all referrals twice a week. The limitation will prevent anyone from abusing the system.

Block emails/messages from sponsor. Hey, when you're a "master marketer" you don't want to be the one still receiving messages from your referrer, do you? You can if you want. The option will be available. Free members will not.

Interstitial ads are free (normally $5 setup fee for each campaign). Since interstitial ads are one of our most powerful methods of marketing, you'll want to take advantage of this. If you were to create 20 of these campaigns, you'd be saving $100 just setting them up.

Rich media ads are free (normally $5 setup fee for each campaign). Our rich media (video) ads will also be an arsenal you don't want to let go. We just covered it earlier.

As an added bonus, your specified website will be shown every time a member logs out of his/her account. It's kind of like a pop-up, but instead of popping up, they would go directly to your website. This won't cost you any additional fees! You can add up to 3 domains for rotation.

One more benefit is, instead of earning 60% of every click and every action, you'll earn 70%! That's unheard of in any ad network.

If you are interested in the Master Marketer membership, it will be only $19.99 a month. However, if you signup as an Early-Bird Master Marketer, we will knock off 50%! That's right, if you upgrade to the Master Marketer before we begin the Beta version or before we receive 10,000 members, it will be only $9.99 a month forever.

Before you freak out about whether you'll receive commissions for upgraded members or not, yes, you do! You'll get 40% of all upgraded members every single month. However, you must also be an upgraded member to receive commissions!

Unlike other companies, if you're the last minute type of person, when you do decide to upgrade, your referral commissions will kick in for the following month. Other companies will usually just toss you out of the loop and never give you the commission because you upgraded after your own referrals.

When Beta is here or when we reach 10,000 members, the price will be brought back to $19.99 a month. Remember, you can only take advantage of this if you upgrade before Beta.

This should be interesting to watch, and also to test! I intend to test the system out as both an advertiser and a publisher - and particularly like the fact that you can transfer funds from one account to the other, basically paying for your own advertising out of your revenue generated as a publisher. Obviously the referral program has a lot of potential for recurring earnings as well...
