PowerGen Mobile Juice Pack Review

This little device has become my must-have. I never leave home without it. The video above explains how it works, what I love about it, and why I recommend EVERYone carries one of these cool little gadgets.

You can currently get the PowerGen Mobile Juice Pack 5200mAh for only $29.99 at Amazon.com. And believe me, it's worth every single penny - and then some. πŸ˜‰

At the current price, it's a great deal!

Be sure to check out the specs at Amazon to make sure it's compatible with your devices. If not, there are similar models and even different connectors & cables you can order, so be sure to shop around to see what you can find.

Leave a comment and tell us which mobile devices you use and/or about an incident where it went dead on you at the most inopportune time!

Best,

p.s. The gadget I own (above) is currently out of stock at Amazon. It also may not be compatible with your device. Here is another model from PowerGen that may be, and it IS in stock at the same low price:

Well my wife uses a droid device among ipods as well. She is always on the go and one day she forgot her wall charger. That was not a great day she had to limit the use of the phone.
She can not go to the car and charge it because she is a nanny. This device would be perfect for her to carry around in her bag.

  2. I'm not a big fan of putting gas in the car. I have four sons and a husband, so they usually do if for me. About a year ago, my gauge signaled that I was running low on fuel. BUT the little letter on the gauge said "E", which I was sure meant enough.

It wasn't. And that's when my cell phone battery died.

  3. Sweet! I have wanted one ever since you got it. Being able to see it in use through traveling with you, it's been on my to buy list. I'm adding the dual one to my Amazon wish list. It would be great with my iPhone, i Pad & Kindle Fire. Awesome product!

  4. Hey Lynn,

Very cool gadget! I have my HP laptop, Acer Aspire one notebook, Blackberry Playbook, Android tablet and my Samsung cell phone. Then there is my digital camera as well as my Flipcam and at least one mp3 player/recorder just for good measure.

I mix and match as to my needs on any particular field trip. A Mobile Juice Pack might be the real answer to preventing the dreaded mobile dead device.

    Thanks for sharing...

I hope you are having an AWESOME staying charged to the MAX day! πŸ™‚

    Love Gadgets - all kinds!

Since I work with offline businesses, it's not uncommon that I'll approach the biz owner of a place I am visiting to see if I can help with their marketing.

The most recent incident when my iPhone battery died on me was the other night while trying to give a prospective client a demo. It was an impromptu presentation at the restaurant I was dining at. I did some quick research online during dinner and it sucked a lot of the juice from my battery. Needless to say, while attempting to show the biz owner my magic, the phone died. I quickly turned to one of the waiters standing nearby and asked if he had a smart phone and ended up finishing the demo with the waiter's iPhone.

I can definitely see this coming in handy : )

  6. I am always running out of juice in my iPod touch as I make videos like crazy. This little bugger would be just the ticket to get the amount of action I need to tell the whole story! Thanks for bringing this to my attention

  7. Hi Lynn,

Thanks for a great review! Im also tired of worring about battery power, this looks like a great, and very handy device. Thanks so much for sharing!

Oh that would be nize!!! even tho I sit at my desk most of the time these days... next to a charger!

  9. I normally always have a camera on me. Typically my "good" DSLR camera is always there if not I have the camera on my phone. A month and half ago I went to the hospital to visit my sister and my brand new niece. Not only was my DSLR dead but when I went to open the camera on my phone it was telling me that my phone was on low battery so it didn't have enough to even open the camera!

  10. I didn't know about this handy little gadget! Thanks so much for showing it to us. This would be great for camping. We spent a month out west last year and I had a hard time keeping my mobile things charged up as we camped were there wasn't any electric at times. I sure could have used it then. Going to check this out today! Hey if I win I will have Two charged up and will never run out of juice for my Mobile madness!

  11. I am more mobile these days, and it is so not cool to ask a client if I can use their power when my phone dies. So this gadget would be a welcome addition to my techno inventory! (And I think I am getting an iPad for Christmas, so this would definitely be handy.)

  12. I was unexpectedly at the hospital with my daughter, and my cell phone was at half charge, by the morning it was dead and I had no way to contact anybody, luckily my sister was able to come by and bring me a power cord early the next morning but I know it was scary for me and everyone else not to have any contact.

  13. I love it! Especially since i just lost juice on my phone the other day and my car charger wasnt working either!

  14. Hey Lynn! That Mobile Gen is way cool! I'd love to have one to charge my new iPad Mini. I'm collecting new gadgets for it. I also have an Samsung basic phone that I still use. Then there's my laptop...lol... like most people, I'm in constant need of more power! When I travel the Mobile Gen would be awesome so I don't have to scour the airport terminals for seats near outlets πŸ™‚ Thanks for sharing with us!

  15. Sian McDermott says

This looks like a brilliant little device - especially when travelling by plane. If your plane gets delayed and you have used up your battery presumably you can spend the flight charging up your iphone or ipad and be ready to go the moment you step off the plane. Like it.

  16. WOW! That looks amazing! I have an ipad, a kindle and a droid. Also a flip and a digital camera. This would be so awesome to have.

The worst time for devices to die on me? Church! Hubby and I pastor a church so I record the services and that is NOT when you want to realize you forgot to charge a device. Usually we're on the way to church when I realize it and it's a 30 minute drive so this would be awesome!!!

  17. Great video Lynn! You get more relaxed and confident with each one.

OMG I could have SO used this last month when I attended a conference out of town! I totally forgot to charge my iPhone and I hadn't talked with my husband in two days! Luckily my roommate had one of these in her purse and saved the day! I would love to have one of my own!

  18. james samy says

Awesome review Lynn. You always shared and give the best review before purchasing any stuffs online. Thank you.

I have an Android HTC phone which I take it everywhere I go for picture taking, writing my blog post and emailing. But during my first trip to LA, I was in the LA airport and my Android phone battery going low .. was stress-up because if it goes flat how am I going to get my friend to fetch me. It was a tough time for me and if Mobile Juice was with me .. my life will be without stress and definitely my blood pressure will be much much lower with high level battery power phone.

Hope to get one and I will be the first one to have it in Singapore. Love to get it from my favourite coach Lynn Terry πŸ™‚

This would definitely help me for the times my Samsung Galaxy S2 runs out of juice which is a lot.

  20. Steve Sadler says

I spend 3 hours a day getting back and forth, and my iPhone and iPad sometimes doesn't make it. Usually very carefl to charge up during the day, but hey, sometimes forget. Usually on those cold snowy days when I need a ride. Ouch!

  21. Bruce Hoag says

What a neat device! I don't know how you find this stuff. You're certainly right about the life of each charge on our mobile devices. Somehow, they just don't live up to advertising.

  22. Ok, it's for my cell phone. It's always my cell phone. Good grief my cell phone is dead. Oh no, my cell phone won't work. Help me with my cell phone. PLEASE

  23. Wow this is exactly what I need for my husband. He never remembers to charge anything until he's desperate to use it. Of course that usually happens away from home and finding the car charger is almost impossible for him (he never leaves it in the car). This is a really neat gadget. Thanks Lynn for letting us know about it!

  24. This is exactly for my sister! If I won she would get it ! She has 2children and 1with asthma and life threatening food allergies she is constantly needing her phone charged in case of emergency.if anyone in the world needs this its her:)!

  25. Wanda Rawlins says

Exciting is an understatement -I have been looking to get something like this for my sister's all three of them are always complaining about recharging their phones and this would be worth getting them one for christmas. Thanks Lynn for reminding me of a great gift I could get them for christmas.

  26. Wonderful necessity! On the go, and when I need to show offline clients some samples online or mobile, this would help immensely. Also, with two teenage sons who constantly "forget" to charge their phones and gadgets, it seems we're in the "middle of nowhere" when they cry out for help. Thus our family would put this to great use!

  27. Nice review video Lynn! You demonstrate the benefits and value of this product wonderfully.I have an LG phone that charges via a USB connection, so this would work well for me although I\'ve never had issues with it. I charge it every 2nd night and that works great for me. But my wife\'s BlackBerry is another story. She travels a lot and this would be great for her. It would also work wonders for the iPods, PSPs and DSs that die on the kids at the worst times (they haven\'t learned the value of plugging them in at night yet 8

  28. Good review lynn. I will try let see wht ll happen? but, I am excepting that i would get it.

  29. What a great review! And I've recently begun the hunt for a mobile charger. Was looking at relying on the car to charge the cell phone and netbook, but nixed that because I don't want to take out and put away every time I leave the vehicle. Love the idea of this one - can charge my phone in my purse! or my netbook for that matter (fits beautifully in my purse). What a great gift idea, too!

  30. Hi Lynn,

I am a VA, my husband and I were
    headed to Rancho Cuchamonga for
the yearly Xmas tree lighting. Fireworks,
and singing and they make snow!

As I was marketing that day, I happened
to connect with a possible client. Yahoo!
So we left early so I could spend time
with her at a designated coffee shop.

As we were coming into town, we were
at a red light waiting for the light to
turn green. The car behind us did not
see red light and plowed in the back
of our car. (He was on cell phone)
We were taken by ambulance to hospital
where X-rays and cat scans were taken.
Both of us were knocked out due to
    impact and were disoriented.

When I came to all I could think about
was my appointment! I of course made
sure my husband was ok! I started really
making a fuss about needing my I-Phone
to make a call. By the way, I also have
Laptop, Netbook, I-Pad. Finally, the nurse
let me make a call. I punched in numbers
and pressed call.... OMG it's dead!!!!

Ok plan B... Made another fuss until
the nurse kindly consented to make
    call herself.

The end of story is, we are fine, the
person is now my client, a thank you
Card was sent to nurse, AND at top
Of list to get was exactly what you
    were talking about!!

Thanks for reading, I always devour
everything on your blog. I can't imagine
    anyone experiencing a tougher situation
    then this but, who knows!

  31. I use an Android phone and an iPad 2 but for some reason, my phone doesn't like to let me know it's really drained on battery power until it's urgent! =) This has caused me more hassles than I can recount here, but the worst one was when I forgot my regular camera at a really fun even my son was participating in and figured my phone battery was enough to grab a few photos and a video. WRONG. I missed capturing it completely because my battery indicator went from green to URGENT in the span of the time it took to turn on my camera app!

This would be a lifesaver for those instances!

  32. During a phone interview for a job that I really needed and truly believed I was the best candidate for, I was asked; "Have you ever been convicted of any crimes?" the phone went dead before I could answer no. All day I got the voice mail. The next day I got the bad news.

Thank you for info on a gadget that will prevent that from ever happening again.

  33. My car dealer partner and I were delivering a car to his customer (I was driving the customer's car) and we had not discussed before leaving where exactly we were to go. I had been using my iPhone to 'surf the net' (check stats, etc....lol) and for some reason when I stopped the internet continued working and ran down the phone's battery. My partner managed to slide through a couple of lights but because I was behind him I had to stop as they had turned red by the time I reached them, and so I lost sight of him. No phone, no way of asking where he was or where exactly I was to go. Do you have any idea how few and far between call phones are now? Gosh, once upon a time they were everywhere! It took me 20 minutes to finally locate one that had not been vandalized beyond usability. Anyway, customer was understanding and got their new car eventually. If I had had one of these charger packs none of this would have been a problem! Even if I do not win this one, this is a great buy and could save wayyy more than what it costs in stress alone!

  34. I currently have a netbook, ipad, ipod touch, and Samsung Galaxy S3 phone (which I love). The iPad definitely drains pretty quickly if you're using it a lot, particularly for watching Netflix. But my old Droid X was the worst. It could never make it through a whole day without being charged. One time last year I was with my daughter in Washington DC looking at colleges and by midafternoon my phone was down to that dreaded red alert. It was just when my daughter wanted to head off on her own shopping and call me when she was done. I ended up just sitting in a cafe and waiting with a cup of coffee, so I guess it wasn't so bad after all!! But what if there had been an emergency? It's not as if there was a pay phone in sight. Remember those?

This is a cool little gadget I would love to use......

    Lynn,
I love it when you do reviews of things. You do such a good job! When I read your email, I thought you were going to review a juicer. There's a lot more interesting. Not only will be useful for traveling but I live in an area with the power goes out in the winter. When it goes out we immediately start looking for flashlights. I have an assistI've light on my samsung galaxy s3 but it has a very short battery life . Looks like a really good solution to the problem.

  37. I want to have one and make it a present this Christmas for my nephew.

  38. This would come in very handy when I travel, like on my January vacation. Thanks for the heads up video.

  39. What a cool gadget! It's very practical for those people who keeps on working with gadgets. I use my hp laptop and iphone for checking mails and always have a problem to recharge.
Thank you so much Lynn for sharing another informative video.

Lynn, these are such wonderful stories from everyone. 'Connection' is so critical to us all - both business and personally. I won't bother you with a story, let me just say...

    "Santa, Oh Santa,
If I could have one wish today...
    Santa, Oh Santa
That a PowerGen Juice Pack would come my way..."

    (Can you hear the music???)

Fingers, toes and eyeballs crossed!!! LOL

  41. Hmmm I had not seen such a useful and suitable device! I've got Nokia phone..once I was in an ancient museum and was going to take some very amazing pictures but it went dead πŸ™

  42. That is a great new item and would come in handy for not just one item but for several things. AWESOME!

  43. I have wanted one since you talked about yours a while back. This would definitely come in handy for my Samsung Galaxy SIII during a long day of meetings when one doesn't have access to a power outlet or I've forgotten my power adapter. πŸ™‚ Hoping I win, fingers crossed!

    • Congratulations, Kathryn - You are the winner! πŸ˜€

I just sent you an email requesting your shipping address. I look forward to sending you this awesome gadget, and I'm sure you'll love it as much as I do! πŸ˜‰

      *cheers*

  44. Natalie A. says

I have been in love with your PowerGen ever since you let me use it at Savvy. Had you not whipped out the PowerGen then, I would have been without power until we went back to our room 3 hours later. Thanks for sharing πŸ™‚

  45. mike carey says

I used this while camping to help keep me connected to the world last summer.. Love this and could not imagine being without one when "off the grid"....

  46. I have iPhone, iPad, laptop and a couple of flip cameras that I take mobile with me wherever I go. I remember one time taking my son to the beach for the day. Now its not like a 15 year old wanted to build sandcastles with me, he really just needed a ride there to go skimboard with his friends. Once we got there he disappeared πŸ˜‰ I thought I was prepared for being left an orphan on the beach and I took my beach tent and laptop figuring I'd work inside that for the day. Problem is my laptop ran out of juice in about two hours and I ended up getting bored, falling asleep in the sun and got a nasty sunburn! Had I had a PowerGen with me I would have got more work done and no ouch sunburn LOL! Gotta get one of these πŸ™‚

  47. Luv so much fun..but with such an amasing gadget..it makz fun even mor fun..AWESOME Lynn!

  48. Nicole Roberts says

Great information! I love this device. I could really use this when I'm traveling! Thanks for sharing!!

  49. I work for hospice and use an Android phone. I depend on my GPS app to get to home visits. Unfortunately the GPS app uses a lot of juice and one day it ran out before I had finished my visits. Had to go back to the office to figure out how to get where I was going. I now keep my charger with me and charge it up during visits but this gadget would certainly help.

  50. Sherri Frost says

Very cool tool that would come in handy in so many ways. We have so many gadgets and ALWAYS need extra juice as we are always on the go go go!
